OblivionRider 50 Posted August 11, 2010 I've been wondering about this for some time, so I might as well ask. I have a wireless internet connection and a PS3, while my cousin has a wireless internet connection, but no PS3. He just got a PSP, and I'm getting one in September. If we both get BBS, will we be able to play together (Wi-Fi) or does he need a PS3 too? We live states away, and I'd hate to only play with him on holidays and the sort. 1 ZetBreelp reacted to this

Ventuswind 4 Posted August 11, 2010 dudes BbS is FOR the psp. you both need a PsP and a bbs copy to go multiplayer.

OblivionRider 50 Posted August 11, 2010 I dont think BBS is playable on da psp I really don't know how to respond to that...
Queen Tery 4,591 Posted August 11, 2010 u can connect the psp to a ps3 and play multiplayer around the world kind of like xbox live only free lol. both players need a ps3, psp, and a copy of the game however. tho i am not sure if bbs will work on this kind of multiplayer. i do know that dissidia does and i think monster hunter does. there are plenty of others that are compatible. AnsemTheWise 1,114 Posted August 11, 2010 Really? You can do that?! BbS is local only (no infrastructure), but if you can do that with a PS3, I don't see why it wouldn't work... right? (I am SO confused now...)

khven 0 Posted August 11, 2010 I dont think BBS is playable on da psp fail and in respond to ertyx, for future reference, how would one set that up, because it would be really helpful to play with friends who live far away
Rob 5,571 Posted August 11, 2010 I could've sworn news came out weeks ago saying you cant play multiplayer with a friend who's, example: in another state. Since there is no infastructure mode, so you have to be close to a friend to play. Only on the japanese version on BBS, you can connect it to your PS3 and go to ad-hoc party. Queen Tery 4,591 Posted August 12, 2010 allright, thanks for ur time First, on the PS3, go into the Playstation Store and download the "Ad-hoc Party." After the download you'll see it under the game column on the PS3 home menu. Next, choose remote play on your PSP and on the PS3, your two systems should be connected. On the PSP you should see something saying "Registered with Playstation 3 - 746" or something similar. Finally go into the ad-hoc party on the PS3 (internet connection required) and follow the on-screen instructions. On the PSP game, go into the online lobby and the PS3 ad-hoc will recognize it. --example: With Dissidia, go into the lobby (I use Cornelia) and when someone enters your ad-hoc room on the PS3 they will show up in the lobby on your PSP. If this seems to complicated, google is your friend.

Spitfire 2 Posted August 13, 2010 Well this is absolute BS. I don't have a PS3, and there is no infrastructure mode either. Also none of my friends are getting BBS, instead they are getting reach, which i will be getting as well but still.....
OblivionRider 50 Posted August 16, 2010 I went straight to the PS3, downloaded the Ad-hoc party thing, and sat there for five minutes before realizing that I didn't have BBS or a PSP yet. With the Ad-Hoc mode, do you need friend codes or anything like that to play with others? If so, we could have a big compiled list of our friend codes here, so that if one of us wants to play, maybe someone else will be online.
Queen Tery 4,591 Posted August 18, 2010 not sure. i think u can get account names like on xbox live and ask them to join u in a certain lobby then set it up from there.
