Tails 6,692 Posted May 14, 2015 It's what they've chosen. Metal Gear Solid going mobile. Funny, because they can't make a Metal Gear Solid game without Kojima and his team. Without Kojima, Metal Gear Solid won't be...well...Metal Gear Solid. Kojima is what makes the frnachise so lovable and memoriable. And besides, after MGS5: Phantom Pain I highlydoubt that there will be new MGS games unless Konami wants a Metal Gear Rising 2. 2 Dio Brando and Joker reacted to this

TheKingdomkid 1,194 Posted May 14, 2015 Well looks like Konami is just getting more dead and more dead every day but this is probably the final nail in the coffin They've made Castlevania without Iga. Yeah but the last few Castlevania games have not been that great soo....
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted May 14, 2015 They've made Castlevania without Iga. And 90% of the Castlevania fanbase hated the Lord of Shadows games(A.K.A God of War clones) Hence why people only count the Castlevania games made by Iga
Tails 6,692 Posted May 14, 2015 They've made Castlevania without Iga. Lol yet those games made without Iga sucked hard. Just admit the fact that MGS is crap without Kojima because not only is he the creator of MGS, he knows how to put the humor, love, drama, sadness, and 4th wall breaking all into one game when it comes to MGS. How many other game creators do you see do something like that in a video game? Because that's what makes MGS games good and the only thing keeping Konami alive right now. Konami kicking off Kojima is going to be the end og f them. Mark my words. Heck, it even looks like they're pretty much trying to get out of the gaming business altogether. 2 Joker and Dio Brando reacted to this
Setrex 1,031 Posted May 14, 2015 At the end of the day it is all about business. Konami apparently knows how to make money in Japan and they'll continue down that road regardless if it involves mobile games or no games at all. It's a shame given the IPs they currently hold. While I'm not a huge fan of either Castlevania or MGS (I know some who are), I did like the odd PES game back in my childhood and I absolutely loved Bomberman (which they sadly obtained). I think most people will agree when I say, screw you Konami and your nonsense.
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted May 14, 2015 The foolish fools of Konami are at it again... I've given up on them at this point. They have no idea how to business. And even they just don't care anymore. The only thing I'm wondering is what Kojima is going to do now. 1 Dio Brando reacted to this

Caity 3,946 Posted May 14, 2015 That's what my Game Design Professor says too. They're easier and cheaper to develop for and more people are likely to have the platform than a console. That doesn't mean I only want to be able to play games on my phone but this is a pretty common view.
hatok 6,413 Posted May 14, 2015 Companies have been saying mobile is the future for years still waiting for that future That's what my Game Design Professor says too. They're easier and cheaper to develop for and more people are likely to have the platform than a console. That doesn't mean I only want to be able to play games on my phone but this is a pretty common view. and that's the problem, they think in the context of low cost and high profit, not the downsides like rampant piracy, cloning, the inability to easily make good controls, the lack of incentive to make a good game in the first place, and the lack of long term viability with a casual audience (look what happened to the Wii)
