Stardustblade358 806 Posted September 19, 2015 (edited) Rune smiled and clapped his hands together. “I remember the two of you! You were around the fountain yesterday with the whole fight and all! Did you managed to see me dance? Bet I enchanted you with my moves!~” Rune cooed, doing a small pose before continuing to eat. Runa watched as the pieces of bacon sizzled on his skin before eating up. Rune smacked him a bit. “How rude, we haven’t introduced ourselves! I’m Rune, dancer extraordinaire! And this is my less than fabulous warrior twin brother, Runa.” Rune hummed, eating up. Runa raised his hand slightly. “I’m the oldest of the two. Nice to meet you.” Runa murmured, avoiding eye contact with Shela specifically. Rune chuckled. “Forgive my less than talkative brother. He’s terrible at talking to girls! Especially for such a beauty as yourself, my dear.” Rune explained, smiling. “Ignore my idiot brother.” Runa murmured, hissing at his twin. “No, we aren’t partners. We prefer to be away from each other.” Rune explained. Edited September 19, 2015 by Stardustblade358

Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted September 20, 2015 So they weren't partners after all. That mildly surprised Shela. She was certain that two brothers, who knew each other like the back of their own hands, would leap at the opportunity to help each other out on the battlefield. Shela, not having any blood siblings to call her own, didn't know what it was like to have a brother who irritated you, or a sister you felt ashamed to call "family" on a really bad day. Still, the behavior of the two brothers caused the young woman to laugh out loud. "I can tell that you two really care about each other," she said finally, offering them a smile. "If you aren't partners, do you have any? I"--she hesitated, ashamed to what was about to come next--"will likely go solo, but it is fun to see what other teams we have going on." Truthfully Shela just didn't think anyone would "want" her as a partner. I mean, how likable was she? A slight frown creased her brow upon noticing that Runa didn't seem interested in meeting her eye. At first she thought her very presence offended him, until Rune shared otherwise. Again, Shela chuckled in amusement. "It would seem that the two of you just don't have very much in common, eh? As for speaking to girls . . . . I'd say you do a better job than most. Others just fall heads over heels and make stupid fools of themselves, so I appreciate you treating me like a human being above all else."
Cam1949 21 Posted September 21, 2015 Oume finished up his training and headed back towards the Quad sweaty, and grabbed his food. He saw that Shela is sitting with a few people, but didn't want to sit with them since he just finished training. So Oume headed into a corner to sit down, he sits crossed legged and begins to eat his food. He took his time to enjoy his meal, keeping an eye on everyone around him with his weapon always at the ready.
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted September 22, 2015 -Hektor- Hektor had finished getting himself dressed in his formal attire, the worst thing about being a gentleman wasn't the heat from the sun, which was an annoyiance, but he was used to it, the problem was buttoning the damn attire on, at least the undervest, he had finished getting dressed, grabbing his cane, and walking out of his room, and soon came accross the cafeteria of sorts, which he noticed someone he had met the earlier day, a male dancer by the name of Rune, he quickly approached them, walking with class, as always, "Gretting Rune, Syfe" he said nodding to them both then nodding to Rune's brother and then to the woman, who seemed like the fighter type which was sitting with them (Shela) "Ma'am, don't supposed the seats are taken?" he asked permission to sit by them. -Alexander- He was in the training area, practicing his halberd strikes on some dummies, he was good at this, but he still thought he had room to improve, after some more training sessions, he had quite a bit of sweat on him, and he was hungry too, so he decided to go get something to eat, maybe he'd meet someone on the way there, maybe that Dancer girl he met the other day, that he and Runa met, they couldn't talk much before the bells rang and they had to return to their duties, so he wanted to at least talk to her a bit more, if she wanted to of course, she seemed the shy type. Guest Posted September 22, 2015 As our wonderful students congregated and trained, ate and talked, the stunning lack of teachers on campus was beginning to become notable. Half the staff seemed to be missing, and in fact, despite the rumors of Derik being under a strict suspension after yesterday's antics, his steel coat could be seen waltzing down the corridors like he owned them, eventually bringing him to the outside, where he found a proper gentleman whom he had combat with the other day, in fact, near by Syfe and Rune. "Well, no other way to introduce yourself after sparring than to just talk." So, he wandered over there, meeting up with the group. "Sup'?" He directed to his two opponents from the day before. Stardustblade358 806 Posted September 23, 2015 Runa's cheeks turned a few shades of pink as he was complemented by the warrior. "Er, t-thank you." Runa said, a bit of steam escaping his ears as he smiled to himself. To even receive a compliment was a grand goal for the teen. Rune was more than happy as he watched more people arrive at the table, specifically the people he had met yesterday ad well. "Good morning. Nice to see you guys again." Rune cooed as he finished his plate, now giving full attention to everyone. "We both are still looking for partners, actually." Runa explained. "We could be each other's partners but for one we can't get along with each other's style and two, we worry we might end up burning everything in sight." Rune explained, chuckling a bit. The twins were like firecrackers on the field. If you paired up fire with fire you would only get destruction out of it, something the twins would like to avoid. "Going solo is quite the challenge. You should at least consider a friend or two in case you eventually need a partner." Runa suggested. He then looked over at his brother. "How do you know all of these people, by the way?" Runa asked. "I met most of them yesterday. They had a dual by the fountain!" Rune explained, Runa nodding in understanding, only to add one more comment. "Is it me or are we lacking more teachers than usual?" Rune then noticed the same boy who had been dragged away by the ear the day before, chuckling at the memory. "So you're alive. You didn't get locked up after all." Rune teased. Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted September 25, 2015 Shela absentmindedly began to pick at her food. "Well, you see, I don't really know other dancers, or warriors for that matter. I know that going it alone is asking for it." It was a painful truth that Shela hadn't wanted to give much thought to, even if it did cross her mind often. "So, what do you two plan to do after the academy? Some world-changing antics, no doubt?" It seemed her table was receiving quite the influx of students. Just then the gentleman arrived, asking to join her table. In response she offered a swift nod. "Why certainly, my good fellow, though my apologies if I don't linger long. It's my exam papers, you see." Inside Shela was kicking herself, wondering why she couldn't just open up with other people. She wanted friends, but she just couldn't put her guard down. Cam1949 21 Posted September 25, 2015 Oume finished eating and looked at the group and decided to head over since he had nothing better to do, he walked over. "Hello, my name is Oume." He said to the group without an expression, "Hello again Shela." He said bowing to her.
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted September 26, 2015 Recognition danced in Shela's eyes upon Oume's arrival, and a slight smile curved her lips. It was one person who had nearly been on friendly terms with her, and one who, out of everyone, Shela could relate to. Both had suffered major losses, and both wanted to make these people pay (I forget who the main antagonist was now?! The government?). In response Shela offered a swift nod to the man, her dusty-blue locks falling in her face. "Good morning, Oume. It looks like you've already been out training." She rose, resting a hand on the hilt of her sword before looking up at him. "If you're through here and aren't too tired, would you have enough energy for a friendly spar? It's been a while since I've fought with someone more than myself and a tree limb; it would be nice to fight with someone for a change." She glanced at the others at her table and offered a swift nod. "It was a pleasure, all of you. I look forward to seeing you later."

Cam1949 21 Posted September 26, 2015 "I guess I don't really have a choice now do I." Oume said smiling. He grabbed his sword and walked away with Shela, "So, who were those people, and when did you meet them?" He asked as he was walking with Shela to the training room, as he was talking with her and walking he checked his weapons to make sure they were ready for the fight. As he did this he treated his swords like he brothers, "By the way, this is Yin, and Yang." Oume says pointing to his swords... "These are the only things that have been with me since the death of everyone I know."
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted September 26, 2015 Syfe enjoyed another bite of his pancakes as he waved good bye to Shela and Oume. He glanced up to Derik and Hektor with a smile. "Oh, my opponents from yesterday! How delightful." He said, stabbing another bite of pancake and shoving it into his mouth. He got hungry pretty frequently, but he had a high metabolism, so it rarely stayed with him. Of course, that's not always the best thing when attempting to build weight, but it kept him nice and agile for fights. When he heard Rune and Runa's request for partnerships, Syfe took a break from his food to look the Flaming Dancer in the eyes. "I happen to be without a partner as well. Do you wanna work together?" He asked. Rija walked into the cafeteria with a smile. She walked over to a very lively looking group of people. "Hey do you guys know what's being served? I worked up an appetite again after training." She said easily. Alyssa opened the door to the training room, intent on using the back area that had a mirror for dance practicing. It was early, so surely no one would be up and interested in training yet. But unfortunately, there was one of the boys she had met yesterday. Alexander maybe? In either case, she squeaked a little bit and quickly turned and began to walk away, hoping he had not noticed.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted September 30, 2015 Rune smiled brightly at the offer. Before his brother could make a comment on it, Rune purposely smacked him with his headpiece before nodding. "I would love to! You seem like a great guy, and fighter. Totally, let's partner up." Rune cooed, chuckling in delight. For one, he had beat his brother in finding a partner first. Secondly after the encounter from the day before Rune could tell that they would be able to get along great. At least likable enough to not murder each other either. Just then Rija arrived and everything turned ten times better and happier for Rune. Runa decided to answer her question. "There's eggs, mashed potatoes, biscuits and bacon among other things." Runa explained. He tried to sound interesting, but socializing was his biggest flaw. He was also avoiding eye contact with Rija because he knew the moment they made eye contact he would fluster up and turn incoherent. Curse women and their nice smells. "Want some?" Runa asked as he offered some of the bacon that sizzled on his arm due to his body heat. If only he could remember that wasn't exactly normal to begin with. Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted October 1, 2015 A solemn expression lit Shela's eyes as Oume explained his weaponry to her. She bit her lower lip and turned her sapphire-blue eyes up to him. "That is such a shame, and I'm so very sorry." She turned her head away, memories flooding her of her burnt village, dead bodies everywhere, and the last words that her foster mother spoke to her before her death . . . . She continued walking, only remaining silent now, her hands clenched at her side. She then recalled that Oume had asked her another question, causing her to nod firmly before speaking, "I only just met them. I don't know anyone here either, though I had seen Rune and Runa fighting at the fountain yesterday. Those two are so funny, but deep down I think they really care about each other." It was nice to see others so close, wanting to have friends and to love and be happy again. Shela wasn't sure happiness was something she could ever find again. She did, however, find Oume's presence comforting. Like a friend who understood her. Once outdoors the sun filtered into their faces, causing Shela to seek shelter under the trees immediately. She withdrew her sword, watching her reflection within for a moment before she turned back to Oume. "So, tell me," she started, voice soft, "what were they like? Your family? Anything like you?" Cam1949 21 Posted October 2, 2015 "It's alright, I haven't enjoyed it but it taught me to treasure anyone around me." Oume said with a smile. Oume then noticed her actions as she was talking, 'Must be remembering what happened to her town.' Oume thought, after she answered his question Oume nodded his head, "Interesting, I can't necacarally agree with you since I don't talk to people who doesn't know what it's like to lose someone." When they stepped outside he noticed that Shela ran under some trees for some shade, she then asked a question he figured would come up sooner or later. "I guess this was going to be asked sooner or later, but they taught me everything about how I should treat others. Never thought I would meet someone who has been through the same thing as me, and I will be here." He said to her with a smile, "By the way do you have a name for your sword?" He asked. Derik joked, looking to the newcomer himself however got his mouth to almost drop. He shook himself back to life and focused, swiftly reaching for a plate, he dished up a plate of a little of everything in the buffet on the plate, he delivered the plate to the table posthaste, laughing nervously. However, it was not to be destined. A plate of breakfast to not be eaten.Across the halls, the school bell rung once again, and in an odd way. Almost like it was a special pattern."...Weird... that's the tone they play when they want everyone in the Auditorium... but the schedule for this week says nothing about a assembly."Goal: Head to the Auditorium! Anyone not there will miss out!
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted October 2, 2015 A giggle escaped Shela's lips. "Me? Name my sword, huh?" She lifted her sword, tilting it in different angles. "To be honest I'd never even thought of it before, but it's kind of cool, I suppose. You're creating a connection between you and your sword, making it its own person. But, I guess I don't know how to name a plain ol' sword. How did you come up with your names?" Afterward she listened thoughtfully to what Oume had to say about his family before nodding. "It sounds like you had a pretty terrific family. I never knew my biological parents, but my adopted family was incredible. I was especially close to my papa"--her eyes lingered on the blade longingly as she brought it close to her nose--"he taught me everything there was to know about using a sword." Snapping out of her daze, she looked back over to Oume again, tucking a lock of pale-blue hair behind her ear. "It is nice . . . to share similar pasts. Talking to you, I don't feel so alone anymore." Before she could say anything further, however, a bell rang, once, coming from the auditorium. A slight frown furrowed her brow; there was no reason that they should be summoned, was there? She couldn't recall any assignments off the top of her head, but perhaps she hadn't read the syllabus correctly; it wouldn't have been the first time. "What's that about?" she asked in Oume's direction. "Care to check it out?"
Cam1949 21 Posted October 2, 2015 "Well, how about 'Hope' for the name of your sword... I think that is a perfect name for your sword because while you are out fighting the sword will give you hope on completing your mission." Oume said with a smile. As he heard her talking about her family and talking about how her adopted father taught her how to use a sword he couldn't help but be a bit happy for her. "Hey at least you are doing something that your father taught you... I have nothing to remember my parents by except these scars on my body." He said to her. The bell rang and Shela asked him the question, "I don't remember anything about being summoned, but yeah, let's go check it out.... It could be some sort of mission maybe." Oume said getting up. Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 3, 2015 The twins looked at each other with confused glances. “Auditorium? Not in the schedule? Sounds like something out of a play.” Rune smiled. “Nonsense. However I will agree that my suspicions fall on the possibility that something might’ve occurred, good or bad.” Runa said. Rune stood up. “Well then, I think it would be of best interest for us to head to the auditorium then! What do you say, Syfe? Or should I say, partner?” Rune asked with a wink, as brightly as ever. Runa stood up and eat what was left of his bacon. “We should definitely head to the Auditorium. Whether it be dumb or something important, we won’t know until we get there.” Runa stated, shrugging his shoulders slightly as he began to walk towards it. "Wait for us Runa, don't be such a loner." Rune teased, much to his twin's dismay.
