Square Enix to participate in PC Gaming Show at E3 2015

AMD, the second-largest global supplier of microprocessors will be presenting a PC Gaming Show at E3 2015 on Tuesday, June 16th between 5PM and 8PM at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, California.

 

The official website for this show has confirmed Square Enix as a participant. While this is more likely focused on Square Enix's large catalogue of AAA western titles such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Just Cause 3, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Hitman 6 coming out in the next year or so, there is a chance it could feature titles from Square Enix's Japanese studios as Square Enix has been very active in porting Final Fantasy titles to Windows PC/Steam in the past year ranging from blockbuster titles like Final Fantasy XIII to mobile titles like Final Fantasy IV. There is a good chance Kingdom Hearts III will at some stage be released on Windows PC/Steam maybe even Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 & 2.5 ReMIX.

I'm not suggesting any titles exclusive to PC, this would never happen with a Japanese game.

same here... but isn't bad sharing the experience of the game for the PC gamers.

 

I'm just hoping it means Kingdom Hearts X[chi] being localized... I mean it's coming a final fantasy browser game.

Well.. i would LOVE to see Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 on the PC, With incredible graphics, and a better preformance, im not saying that i dislike consoles, and i love the entire saga of Kingdom Hearts, but would love to see KH 3 or 1.5 and 2.5 on Steam, i would play the crap out of it, again, i don't have any issue with consoles, but i would love to see a proper KH game for PC

Is there, though? Has SE at any point indicated that there are any plans to port KH to PC?

I don't really care if it releases on PC or not as I would just get Kingdom hearts III for my PS4. But I also don't get why Kingdom Hearts III should be on PC anyways. The series has never been on PC(not counting KHx).

It's coming out to Xbox One, so it's already multiplatform. It's about reaching the largest audience as possible. I wouldn't mind if it released on PC, cos that could mean I could play it at 60fps

Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts should release on PC.

 

If I get the GTX 970 and i5-4690K that I'm hoping for, I believe it'll look and play better than my console counterpart. Besides, I'm gonna need some games to play and it seems the only PC ones that have me hooked happen to be F2P... and that's not many.

This is very interesting!  We'll just have to wait and see what Square will show us this summer!  If the Kingdom Hearts series was announced to be ported over to PC, that'd be great, because the more Kingdom Hearts fans we get, the better!  But for now, all we can do is wait to see what happens!

I would love it if both releases were available for PC. It's the only platform to truly maximize the potential developers put into their games

 

FFXV being open world needs PC power and the fact that it's fast twitch Action JRPG means it needs 60fps or more. Plus all the other features like 4K, 3D, VR., 21:9 gaming, higher framerates, mods, etc.

they've been slowly porting over the FF series, KH3 is on Unreal 4 which has cross platform support. And they(japanese branch) recently did a DX12 tech demo with Microsoft and Nvidia

Logically, it would be a good thing.

 

Though, I'm growing increasingly sore and rather irrational about the platform wars, so I can't say I'd be excited about it. And some of the benefits of PC seem a bit pointless, anyway.
