Re:Coded, by far. It takes mechanics from 358/2 and BBS that were initially very clunky and awkward and smoothed them out nicely, while adding a bunch of new mechanics that for the most part work really well. I still say Re:Coded had the best version of the Command Deck in the whole series so far.

(though holy shit Olympus Coliseum in Re:Coded could not be more tedious and uninteresting, firetrucking hell)

Birth by Sleep all the way. It's probably the only KH game I loved playing on handheld, and it made me fall in love with the PSP. Plus the gameplay and story in general is just flawless. It doesn't even feel like playing a handheld.

Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance are tied for my favorite, with 358/2 Days barely behind only because of Gameplay not being as good, and that's only because of it being an original DS game, so they could only do so much with Hardware they had, and they hadn't used Deck Commands yet, Re. Coded closely behind 358/2 Days, but I gave Dream Drop Distance my vote since you can only pick 1 and BBS and 358/2 Days didn't need the votes comparatively, but I love them all

As I've always said, I love every single Kingdom Hearts game that has ever released, and while I love the handheld titles dearly, this was a bit of a tough pick for me. Eventually, my two choices tied to Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance, but I ended up choosing Birth By Sleep!  That game is just superbly amazing, and the tragic story of Terra, Ventus and Aqua remains my favorite among the series!  So yeah, it's Birth By Sleep for me! :D

I`m different here, I choose 358/2 days. because this is the first game that we take the roled from villain point of view..(well not really villain point of view yet) but it`s just interesting to played as RoXas. and then in mission mode i could play as Xemnas. my favorite villain from KH series.

Was going to say BBS, but 358/2 because it brings back memories how my friend brought it for me and we tried to not pass one or another's progress as much as possible. Also there was multi-player, which we did stupid shit then. (Larxene is broken.)

Birth By Sleep, as that game could have easily been on the PS3 all along because it feels like an actual KH adventure. KH3D is the same way, but it was a bit confusing, so it's my second favorite here, and as of right now my third favorite KH game, following after KHBBS as my second favorite and KH2 as my favorite!

I'd probably say BBS but I never had experience with it on the PSP. Chose Days in that case. Graphics were meh, but it was my very first KH game. It has a special place in my heart.

I'll cop to not having played Re:Coded, but BBS is one of the best games in the series for a reason. I liked 3D's polish, but BBS shines in its dedicated mechanics and amazing story. CoM is fun because GBA games were always amazing, and what I've played of Days (not all the way through yet) it's fun, but limited by the hardware.

3D because it had the gameplay of BBS but more advanced with extra features. Plus I could play as Riku.

BBS is close behind though because of the better story and introduction of the Command Decks plus the fact you could play as multiple characters (Aqua :3 ). However, it lacked at the dificulty department for me, since I could defeat every boss with a single shotlock on Critical Mode.

Chain of Memories is my favourite of the handhelds. I acknowledge that Birth by Sleep is a great game and easily one of the best in the series, but I feel that the game is kind of a cop-out on the PSP. It's the type of game that could've easily been on another system and it really didn't make much use of the PSP as a whole.

Chain of Memories on the other hand is an excellent handheld game, which is pretty much evident because the card system is horrible to play in 3D on Playstation. The game benefits from being in 2D and both the sprites and card system work so well together. The fewer buttons on the Game Boy make CoM very easy to pick up and play too. I found that with Re:CoM the camera controls were a nuisance.

In terms of weakest handheld games, Days takes that trophy all day.
