Tales of Graces f or Tales of Symphonia Chronicles?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone! I recently finished Tales of Xillia and Tales of Xillia 2. Now, I'm eager to play another Tales game. So the question is, should I play Graces f or Symphonia chronicles first? Any answer is appreciated! :)

Tales of Graces F absolutely.

I think you should play Symphonia Chronicles first.

So what would be the reason behind your opinions? :)

Yes, but they didn't really change much, just remaster them.

So?

Oh sorry, I forgot the opinion...well i think Symphonia is a classic especially the first one (considering you are getting Chronicles) is considered to be one of the best tales of and it is a great game. Also, in my opinion the games are way better than Graces F and have a better story and the battle system is a bit easier. I had problems with the Graces F gameplay.

Hm, I see. Well thank you!

I honestly preferred the gameplay of F. I found it way more fun and entertaining once you get the hang of it. The plot was also more interesting. The game starts really slow but it proceeds to involve you more and more as you advance in the story.

Graces F

I have both and for some reason its been really difficult for me to get into Symphonia. But I did play, beat, and thoroughly enjoyed Graces F.

Most people seem to prefer Symphonia, but I prefer Graces f.The battle system is much better, the boss fights are really interesting and challenging while Symphonia's feels a bit archaic and simple in comparison,I'd even say that Graces's battle system is even better then Xillia's.The new Titles system is really addictive,it adds a lot of replay value to try and find all those titles. The humour is also much better in Graces in my opinion, but like Xillia,Graces f can feel a bit linear at times,Symphonia's world is more open and Symphonia is also a much longer game especially if you try to do all the side-quests and there are more party members in Symphonia.Symphonia is also easier then Graces if you'd rather have an easier time.

They are both great, but I'd get Tales of Graces f first then I'd get Symphonia Chronicles later.

Symphonia is a classic, but Graces would probably be more your speed since you're used to the newer games.

honestly if you're gonna play both it might be a good idea to start with Symphonia, since the more modern games you play te more frustrating the aged mechanics will be when you DO play it

I have only played a small bit of Symphonia, and, while it's okay and the plot seems decent, I can't really say that I love it.  I'm thinking to pick up the game again, however, as I want to give it a fair shot since I love JRPGs.  The reviews seem to indicate that Grace is better between the two, however, which I can believe upon playing Symphonia.  I know my opinion probably doesn't help since I haven't played Grace or even Symphonia all the way through, but personally I'd say play Grace, since Symphonia isn't all that.

I picked both up on PS Store cause they're really cheap right now. I've decided to play Graces f first. Thanks all!
