Riku21Terr 214 Posted April 21, 2015 This is looking like the Fantastic Four movie we've been waiting for. The guys who made Days of Future Past, it will be pretty hard for them to screw it up
Sorarocks93 678 Posted April 21, 2015 I'm actually thinking the exact opposite but oh well.
HeyMouseSayCheese 1,133 Posted April 21, 2015 Interesting that they're going more of the Ultimate Fantastic Four route this time. Holy shit, though, Ben Grimm looks like SHIT- literally, like someone built a sculpture out of feces. They shoulda just reused the 05 version, that looked so much better. it will be pretty hard for them to screw it up Oh, man, don't ever say that, it's like you're begging them to screw it up. TheWayToDawn 775 Posted April 21, 2015 I'm excited for it.... Yet I'm still gonna feel really weird watching since I'm so use to the older Fantastic 4. But I'm still definitely going to go watch this movie. Cause HEY, Fantastic 4 is awesome!
Forever 3,550 Posted April 22, 2015 Hmmm, most interesting. I'll admit, I'm having mixed feelings about this one...but based on how awesome Days of Future Past was, I'd say it has potential!

Firaga 5,947 Posted April 22, 2015 At this point, I'm just drawing a big question mark at this movie. I guess I'll wait until it comes out.
Riku21Terr 214 Posted April 22, 2015 (edited) This will be a failure to the max Why do you say that? It has just as much potential as any of the upcoming x men movies Interesting that they're going more of the Ultimate Fantastic Four route this time. Holy shit, though, Ben Grimm looks like SHIT- literally, like someone built a sculpture out of feces. They shoulda just reused the 05 version, that looked so much better. Oh, man, don't ever say that, it's like you're begging them to screw it up. He does not look that bad, besides, there is more to the movie than how Thing looks. So many other things to offer like the awesome casting, an interesting premise with interesting concepts. Kate Mara alone makes me want to see this movie, she is such a good actress and very good looking too, so much better looking than Jessica alba. Plus miles teller is one of my favourite actors and there is never a dull moment with him onscreen Edited June 3, 2015 by Cricket

Plus miles teller is one of my favourite actors and there is never a dull moment with him onscreen I disagree, Ben Grimm is important; the Thing is the coolest (and my favorite) part of the Fantastic Four, and the fact that he looks like a first grader built him out of Play-Doh really makes me cringe. To be fair though, other than that, the movie looks decent. I guess if I'd ever actually heard of any of the actors, I might be more excited, but as it is, I'm just kinda meh. We'll see. Riku21Terr 214 Posted May 4, 2015 Those in doubt of the movie's vision should check this out: http://www.ew.com/article/2015/04/09/fantastic-four-ew-preview And consider the Cinemacon reaction. Positive and the cast won best ensemble award: http://variety.com/2015/film/news/fantastic-four-movie-cinemacon-1201478578/
Tigerruss 576 Posted May 8, 2015 Honestly that trailer did not sell the movie for me. I don't think I care to see it.On a different note, it is a trend that boggles me, the trend of turning a main character into a different ethnicity in adaptations. I mean it can work, it can be good, but to me it just feels like "oh we want to make sure we hit a larger audience and not seem racist!" Though I would have laughed if they changed the ethnicity of Ben Grimm just because, it is only going to be so long until he becomes a 'monster' and human phenotype won't matter. outbackjim21 83 Posted May 11, 2015 Yeah, I just can't see this movie being good, reed Richards looks like an actual nerd in this movie, not a scientist, but a nerd, the antisocial kind. And honestly, kind of tired of Dr. Doom as a villian in the movies as well, I'm kind of hoping this flops just so marvel can have a better chance at getting the rights back and hopefully do the franchise justice. ...black Johnny storm, I'm of ethnic descent and I find this move to be insulting more than endearing. Just because you put a black man in your movie I should go see it now? Who decided that?
HeyMouseSayCheese 1,133 Posted May 12, 2015 ...black Johnny storm, I'm of ethnic descent and I find this move to be insulting more than endearing. Just because you put a black man in your movie I should go see it now? Who decided that? That's what I've been saying! It's such manipulative pandering to change a character's race like that; if they wanted a black superhero, there are plenty existing ones to choose from. (Where's my Luke Cage movie?) There's no point in making an existing character another ethnicity other than marketing purposes.
Riku21Terr 214 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) New stills push limits http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/comic-reel-new-fantastic-four-still-pushes-the-limits-x-men-apocalypses-till-wants-havokwolverine-scene http://www.ibtimes.com/fantastic-four-2015-posters-released-check-out-new-character-costumes-movie-reboot-1903911 Just because Fantastic Four is undergoing constant reshoots does not mean that it will be a disaster. It’s all about trying different things out to make sure that you get it right. Besides, they may not necessarily use all that they have reshoot, for they could discover that things are fine the way that they are, or they could fine an even better way of doing things in the process. After all, I went through a similar process when doing a practicum project for an entire minor for my class and I ended up getting an overall mark of 96% for the class and many others as a result. Riku21Terr 214 Posted June 2, 2015 "this movie is gonna be awesome, i can tell because ive only seen one trailer". If memory serves you said the same thing about the percy jackson films. And those were awful I am not basing it based on one trailer. I base it on facts and details that have been presented to us like the film maker's discussions and other details like the fact that it is taking an approach like the recent x-men films (including having the same people involved) as well as similar takes to other great superhero movies, including great sic fi films, not to mention OTHER trailers released. Don't be such an Unversed towards this. Just because it is different does not mean that it will be "bad".

Riku21Terr 214 Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) Flame on: http://comicbook.com/2015/06/07/michael-b-jordan-flames-on-in-new-fantastic-four-clip/ More humour added onto the movie to balance out the seriousness and science concepts in the movie. Not as cheesy as the first two for sure: http://www.slashfilm.com/new-fantastic-four-tv-spot/ Plus see what director Josh Trank has to say on his approach for the movie and that he did not want it to be generic, derivative or repetitive: http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/fantastic-four/35639/fantastic-four-reboot-i-knew-it-was-going-to-get-ugly Edited June 27, 2015 by Flaming Lea
JBone 30 Posted June 15, 2015 I think you got the name wrong. I believe it's "Fant Four Stic", at least that's what the trailer and all the posters say. I love Marvel and the fantastic four, and I still am not excited for Fant Four Stic. At all. It's trying to be The Amazing Spiderman, but is going to jump right to Amazing Spiderman 2. I'm not going by what others think. I'm going off of what I know. I buy $60-75 of comics a week, I know comics. I know the Fantastic Four. They have never been done on film properly. And probably never will. This film is a step forward, kinda, with all the interdimensional stuff. But getting sucked into another dimension is supposed to be their hobby, not their orgin story. I'll watch this film eventually, when it's on AMC after Ghost Rider 1 & 2.

Riku21Terr 214 Posted July 24, 2015 (edited) Waiting for movie. Really want this movie to do well to make this happen: http://www.movienewsguide.com/x-men-fantastic-four-crossover-movie-confirmed-bryan-singer-reveals-plot-details-release-date/77219 From someone how has seen the Fantastic Four Reboot: "It is different enough. Closer to ultimate fantastic 4. It's worth it since the previous films sucked. All the actors did an amazing job.Right length and the film is more grounded." From an IMDB user: "There was a Fantastic Four screening last night in Atlanta. It should be ok as long as I don't get specific. It was miles better than the previous 2 and also better than Ant-Man and Ultron. Everyone has a believable scientific explanation for their powers. In the end it, covered beneath all the played out superhero save the world *beep* is a story about friendship (Reed and Ben)and family (Susan and Johnny) and how the two are sometimes inseparable. Trank wasn't kidding when he said it was inspired by The Fly, because the best part of the film is the 2nd act where their lives are changed and because of that the 4 have to learn stick together and developed a bond (Reed/Ben didn't like Susan/Johnny in the 1st act). The 1st act was great too! Introducing each members giving us their childhood background story which were sweet and touching. Aaaaaand the 3rd act reverted to an interdimensional slugfest between the F4 and Dr. Doom. Which is something u've seen in countless other superhero movies The VFX is unpolished. Looks outdated. The dialogue ranges from soul piercing to laugh out loud bad. The performances were great. Toby Kebell killed it. The cinematography and a cool blue color grading fits the film. The film's best parts are not the action scenes but the emotional ones." As well, my uncle works for Fox. And he doesn't normally like superhero movies. But guess what? He said that this was actually pretty good. He said he liked this better than they first avengers movie and said it was what he was hoping for in the movie. He has read the comics growing up and said that a lot of the movies of not do the comics just I ecbut he said that this one was actually pretty well done. He also said that the reshooting, while they brought about a messy production were worth it in the end to make the movie the best it could be.
