(proper description: Posterior knee region, inferior to posterior thigh but superior to calf) Your crotch region is a different anatomical region and is related to your groin and the junction between your thigh and lower abdomen. As for 'dank', I'm not familiar with this description for a sign or symptom in disease. If you are genuinely worried about it and its causing you great distress - go see a doctor. Or do you actually mean the word 'dank' as in cold, uncomfortably damp, etc? If that's the case that it's just cold sweat in your knee pit.
