Key Sharkz 69 Posted April 16, 2015 So wait no more Bioshock? Actually 2K only published Bioshock. The company that made them (Irrational Games) announced they would not be developing more Bioshock in 2014, and the company has since become defunct. They laid off a majority of their employees, closed the company down and they are going off to go back to doing smaller titles as a small group again. Also guys, 2K is MOSTLY A publisher, and they have locations all over the world. This is just them trimming the fat. Considering how long games take to get to Australia, and how low their sales are because of censorship (some of the heaviest in the world) I imagine 2K just didn't see it as profitable to keep doing business there. 2 The_eternal_nothing and Kittenz reacted to this

Technically 2K Australia did help on the development of Bioshock 1 & 2 & provided additional work for Bioshock Infinite. hatok 6,413 Posted April 16, 2015 2K Australia wasn't a publisher, they were a developer. by the sounds of it they didn't really do anything important though, which is what people are worried about ITT

HeyMouseSayCheese 1,133 Posted April 16, 2015 I'm pretty sure the only BioShock game 2K Australia worked on was BioShock 2, which was totally the best one, so this is a shame. (I've also heard good things about The Pre-Sequel, but I don't have first hand experience with that game.)
