Dotmore 11 Posted April 3, 2015 For me it'll be (in order of best to worse) Birth by Sleep (love the commands, and the commandboard) Re:coded (commands too) Kingdom Hearts 2 Dream Drop Distance 358/2 Kingdom hearts 1 Chain of Memories I absolutely hated Chain, and its card system

Psychic_Ketchup 367 Posted April 3, 2015 It's always been KH1 for me, though KH2 Final Mix is a very close second.

Robbie the Wise 5,050 Posted April 3, 2015 Kingdom Hearts 2, Chain of Memories, Birth by Sleep, and ReCoded are probably the only contenders as far as gameplay mechanics go.
venxas24 544 Posted April 3, 2015 1. KH2 2. KHBBS/Re:coded since they're somewhat similar imo 3. KHDDD 4/5. KH1/Days they tie for me but I love they're stories the most 6. KHCOM I think that's all of the games. I haven't played any of the HD remix games but that's my list
Hearts Creed 142 Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) Gotta give it to KH2FM, with BBS/FM as a close second. Edited April 3, 2015 by Hearts Creed
Guest Posted April 3, 2015 That's dificult for me. Base gameplay without extras that don't appear in any other game (command style's from BBS, forms from 2/2FM, (since forms are not included)KH1 limits, the configuration deck from 358, completely excluding COM/Re:COM, keyblade combo level up's from Re:Coded/it's level up system, or Flowmotion from 3D's) for myself, it would have to be Re:Coded. It took the more simple style of KH1, perfected it IMO, then added a perfected command deck system which I generally find is much better than BBS's. With those included, I would say KH2/2FM. Forms are the big deal in KH2, and they're pretty awesome. They still give you the awesome feeling of fighting but at the same time allow you to transform at will and still have some sort of control over your attacks, plus though they lack a finisher tecnique like the Command Styles of BBS, each form has special attacks to them that makes them work on their own in a cool manner, and the only time you have to fill a bar is when you need to restore your drive back up to full or to transform again if you exit the form, and after leveling them they almost never run out when you need them not to except in secret bosses, really. Also, how cool is it to transform at your own will to unleash the pain as your will? Sure, you can do this with other transformation-like states like Command Styles, but you have to load down your command deck to make it do what you want, and maybe you would rather have a diffrent attack rather than the one you're forced to use. For me, the order goes like this: KH2/2FM KHRe:Coded KH3D's KH1/1FM BBS and KH358 are tied for me here. I understand that BBS is the "tecnical" better game, but I just don't have any fun with it and I struggle to beat it because I find it so dull at times. Where as I lived 358's gameplay, but wish the combat was more diverse. That pretty much is my only complaint about its gameplay besides the command board being funky, but everyone who plays it knows that. KHCom/Re:COM Also, if you slot BBS down one lower and 358 with 3D's than where they are now, you have my list of overall favorite tiles in the series. Shulk 8,623 Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) Kingdom Hearts I is my favorite in terms of gameplay. And if it's my favorite in terms of gameplay, that makes it my favorite overall. I like the story in it the most too, of course, but gameplay's the reason I'm really sticking with the games. Might as well do my order thing. 1. Kingdom Hearts I 2. Kingdom Hearts II (FM) 3. 3D 4. Birth by Sleep 5. Re:Coded 6. CoM/Re:CoM 7. Days I still love the gameplay in all of them, though... Except for Days. Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted April 3, 2015 It's near impossible to decide with me I'm going to have to go with this order: Kingdom Hearts 2 (because of the abilities and drive) Birth by Sleep (because of the commands and I freaking love shot lock) 3D (for the flow and the magic) Days (for the solid attack mechanics) Coded (same as days) Re:CoM (I learned to appreciate the card gameplay: it's perfect for strategy however it's still very frustrating)
Skhyatze 165 Posted April 3, 2015 KH2FM by far.
Soofi 23 Posted April 3, 2015 In terms of gameplay? Hmmm... KH:3D (am I the only one who LOVES Flowmotion???) BBS KHII(FM & Original) I can't decide whether to put KHI or Days here, so they're tied. (Re/)Coded (Re/)CoM
Niko Collins 83 Posted April 3, 2015 I loved CoM!! It gave me a new challenge. I admit that KH1's hack and slash got boring after beating the game with Ultima Weapon on 20 different occasions...when I saw that CoM had a different way of battling I bought it and played it and actually enjoyed. Sure it wasn't the tried and true Kingdom Hearts formula, but it not only moved the Kingdom Hearts story along, it also made a statement: Not every smash game series had to stick to the original game's gameplay style. Final Fantasy, Zelda, Mario, and Pokemon showed us that.
AngelTheWeirdStranger 504 Posted April 3, 2015 KH2FM (BEST BATTLE STYLE EVER) KH3D (SPAM FLOWMOTION and use some commands sometimes) KHBBS (Commands, Shotlocks, Comman Styles!) KH1FM (Umm...Limits? And decent abilities I guess...) KHRe:Coded (Commands...Again. Tiny screen though.) KHDays (Change your gear, change your fighting style. Awesome concept!) KHRe:COM (FRIGGING CARD SYSTEM I HATE YOUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARG... ) That's pretty much it.
Dotmore 11 Posted April 5, 2015 I finished 3D a while back, and Re:coded today, but i feel more like playing re:coded than to play 3D (Post credits) Coded just appeals more to me than 3D.
