Think Pink 1,967 Posted August 8, 2010 I'm having the same problem. Just be yourself. Everyone on the planet's a nerd~
baylaust 2,531 Posted August 8, 2010 Just be yourself, and try to meet some other people, they don't have to be into KH, or maybe you could introduce them to it.
Sorage55 10 Posted August 8, 2010 Mate, I remember when I was first going into 8th Grade and......I.......uhh........err.......wait......I have horrible memory. I barely REMEMBER 8th GRADE! T_T but anyways, everything's better in highschool more respect at least for me.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted August 8, 2010 I just passed from the 8th grade.Um lets see.Like everyone is saying,be yourself. If you have to act like someone else just to have friends, then don't have friends at all.And relax, classes might get a little rougher, but just concentrate on them and you'll be fine. Also, enjoy it.Got it memorized?/shot. rho 9 Posted August 8, 2010 So it's a new school?
Cricket 1,180 Posted August 8, 2010 Well 8th grade is kind of the point where it is the transition between junior high and high school, but main this is: Don't get stressed out!!! A lot of people may change and begin to act differently, but this is because of growing up (horomones) and the transition to high school. You need to be your normal self and do not let anyone change you! Yeah, you may be a nerd, but guess what? A lot of us are and maybe you can find new friends who have things in common with you. If anyone begins to treat you badly, then tell someone. Don't let anyone change yourself and most importantly don't give in to peer pressure. Be strong and enjoy 8th grade since it is one of the last years of junior high.
aubreyloveskh 16 Posted August 8, 2010 I never went to a new school for eighth grade, I went to a k-8 grade elementary/middle school, so I was stuck there for 9 years. I hated it there, but in eighth grade things were a little bit better for me because I started to hang out with different people. My little brother is going into 8th grade though, and he is going to a new school, he is nervous too. Anyways, high school is way better. I'm only going to be a sophomore, but I made so many new friends last year. It's really great, it gives you a lot of different types of people to choose from for friends. It's like a new start too. Good Luck with 8th grade!
terraxaqua34 98 Posted August 8, 2010 im going to 8thgrade too and already have friends would r going with me so just find people u knew in the past tht whts happen to me since i went into middle school
RoxasStalker 11 Posted August 8, 2010 Oh Grade 8 I remember it well... everyone is right you gotta be yourself even if means you're not going to be "aloud" to hang with the "cool" kids who would want to anyway? Getting involved in after school activites is a good way to meet people even if it's just a group of people who hang in the library doing homework (we have an after school thing for that called "the Homework Club") Try not to get on to any of the teachers bad sides like I did but you don't wanna be a teachers pet either. If you school lets you choose you classes then usally you already have stuff in common with your class mates. That's all I can think of right now.... oh yeah! ALWAYS use the right side of the halway! That is an important one!
heartless101 83 Posted August 10, 2010 I just passed from 6th grade and I'm going into 7th grade. Heres some recomandations: Dont say anything about Kingdom Hearts and if you do say very little of it and also if someone asks you what your favorite video game or whatever it is, dont mention Kingdom Hearts, you'll look like a nerd (thats what happened to me X_X) anyways, besides that you'll be fine :D
JesusFreak 41 Posted August 10, 2010 ^ How can liking Kingdom Hearts make you a nerd? I'm in 8th grade too but I'm also doing 9th grade work. It's not that bad really. Just be yourself and don't care what others think about you. I'm sure you'll do fine. (:
heartless101 83 Posted August 10, 2010 well any game that has to do with Disney is a bad element in my school, especially for 4th graders and beyond and I'm going into 7th grade so I dont dare to mention anything that has to do with disney
Amon 4,279 Posted August 10, 2010 A great way to find KH fans is to go around and randomly say a line from Kingdom Hearts that only a Kingdom hearts fan would be able to recognize. This way if they aren't, you won't look as weird. yes you will look a bit weird saying this but not as wieird as telling someone your a fan of a game where you make friends with Disney characters and whack evil creatures with an oversize key. Roxas, to the mansion! Is my favorite line. 8th grade was when I began my plans for world domination. These days embarrassing yourself and not caring about it tends to earn you a lot of respect. Sure my class still thinks I'm a bit weird (which I guess I am) but they all support me now To make this short, be yourself. And if people have a problem with that use your superior intelligence to slowly, but surely, convert them too your ways. When studying, make the classes that earn you a highschool credit your top priority. If you are in these classes of course. and if you plan on letting people know your a KH fan, take the time to plan over each and ever consequence of doing so. While there is nothing wrong with KH, kids these days think that the only good games must involve massacring people in airports (Modern Warfare 2 lol) . Here is how many 8th graders (mostly boys) are. Somethings may apply to girls though. 1. They think the only good game is Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) 2. If you disagree with number 1 you are immediately a "gentleman" 3. The hormones kick in around this point. Self explanatory. 4. Showing off how smart you are is not recommended as you will get all the retards asking for help (which means copying your answers) for homework. 5. ZOMG SPORTS! When they aren't talking about MW2, or the opposite gender, 8th grade boys will talk about sports. 6. They think the Xbox 360 is the only good gaming console. 7. Procrastination is very common among the ranks of 8th graders. Only a few people will actually hand in their stuff early. 8. 8th graders (especially girls) think that facebook and youtube are the only websites. 9. 8th grade boys tend to think ESPN is the only television channel. 10. 8th graders tend to begin to socialize with highschoolers. Get to know at least one highschooler a little bit in 8th grade. You don't have to become their best friend but having someone you know in high school helps a lot for various things. Now you shouldn't be doing all these things. This is simply a list of how people in my school acted in 8th grade. This will not apply to every school but I think it is about the same for everyone. Good luck soldier!

But still you shouldn't be afraid to tell people what you like. They just don't like anything with Disney because when some one says Disney they automatically think "Oh! That game must be for little kids!". I thought that when my dad first told me about it.
Sora96 17,256 Posted August 11, 2010 In Australia Middle school as you guys would call it is years 7, 8 and 9. I'm going through year 8 right now and its fine. Heck, the school i go to has another campus and since their remaking my campus this year in the second half of the year i had to start going to the other campus. I thought it was going to be all bad and stuff, but it turned out to be fine.
Tom 437 Posted August 11, 2010 Ah I remember 8th Grade. It was a so-so. Too easy and boring. But I had some great experiences. 10th Grade this year is going to blow, while the 8th Grade was ok. Don't be nervous with 8th Grade. It fine. Sure, the leap from middle school to high school will be mind blowing, but you'll get through it. Don't be shy about being a Kingdom Hearts fan/nerd/whatever. Just try to find the ones who do like it and ignore those who don't like it. I found at least 3 people who liked it that year. Here are my tips: 1) Stay away from MW2/COD kids. Trust me, they're annoying. 2) Don't try to act popular. Not only will people dislike you, but middle school popularity will be throw in the garabage when high school arives. 3) Don't try to get yourself in trouble. It might affect high school years and even collage years. Better to just be a normal kid in the class than someone who goes to the office twice a day. 4) Hormones. Carefull of people in this grade. I know people have already started sex in that grade so don't get involved in that. If you do, your life is over. 5) Focus more on grades than other stuff. If you stay back in this grade, it will be embarressing. You need to move on 9th Grade. 6) 8th Grade dance. Don't go to it if you have it. I hated it. 7) Ignore kids who get Algebra this year. They think they are smarter than you because they are in a higher class than you are. Bunch of pricks. Thank god I denied the request to go to Algebra. And that's about. I do have one more thing to say though. Make 8th Grade count. Make it to the fullest. You'll have a blast
