Compress then to a .rar and upload them to a file sharer like Dropbox and send the link. Also, I do a lot of direct computer work (hardware and light software). And I'm not out of high school yet, myself. I'm sorry I'm not college trained.

So, The_Eternal_Nothing, should we get started trying to organise everything? You can make some forums using Zetaboards and we can all properly discuss everything on there!

we don't have enough experienced members yet although I understand programming to a certain extent I'm not a programmer until we have all the necessary members it'll be hard to start.

Just giving the topic a lil' bump...

What can we expect to release on? I know PS and Xbox are ruled out since we need dev kits. Dunno how the Wii U works though.

With Nintendo, you need to get a lot of permits and things, takes a long time.I would say PC, the PC market is pretty big, it's open and has little regulation on how a game is developed, you don't have to configure the game for any specific platform, ect.

PC would be the easiest though, right? Release wise I mean.

I suppose since you develop a game on a pc but in all honesty it's really not that difficult to get your games on multiple platforms I'm currently developing two games one that I plan to launch on iOS Android and Steam and the other just steam so I'd worry more about the game itself and then worry about which device it feels most at home on and go from there

If you all want this to happen we can do it!!!! we just need everyone to get out there and start recruiting members. Our priorities are people who have developed games before or people who can program games however anyone willing to help is welcomed with opened arms

It can be a hastle, especially with getting the company to support the launch. On Steam, you can put anything up on Greenlight and people put it through if it looks promising, and even if it dosen't, we can sell it via our own site/on our own launcher, thus making the process very easy, we don't have to jump through legal hoops to get to the end result.

Thats fair enough but the thing is all these companies like playstation xbox and nintendo want to sell games so as long as our game isn't broken beyond belief and is relatively entertaining getting a console release isn't supper difficult. That being said yes your right it would be more work but worth it in the end if the game fits best on that platform and if thats where our target market resides. (hope that makes sense)

It makes sense, however, I would say at least launch with PC first. There is a huge PC market, it overall will be easier for a relatively unknown team to get a game published on PC, and when/if this first game word out, we can then port it to PS4/XB1/Whatever Nintendo's console will be, and at that time the buisness will probably be more stable as well.

thats a good strategy i think we first need to decide what type of game we want to make. So why don't we start generating some ideas and as we get closer to figuring out what we want to make it'll become easier to decide what platform we should use.

Personally, I like the idea of making an action RPG, but I also understand that those take a lot of people to work out with code and such.

I think it would be probably easiest to start with a platforming game or something like that and go from there.

we could make an action Rpg but it would be closer to something like binding if issac rather than kh but it can be done

Hmmmm well if we're talking genre, I'm a huge fan of point and click adventure games from the 90's (monkey island, grim fandango, shivers) but RPG might be a safer bet?

Well, I mean, I'm only a story writer, tell me our genre and I'll try and come up with something.

I'm good with storytelling and scripting, but pretty much worthless in everything else

Feel free to post any story ideas you wish Im really into futuristic style fantasy something that takes me to a new world something original if we chose to do an rpg but I'm open too any and all ideas

And anyone with a genre and game idea in mind please feel free to post as well once we have our idea down it'll be easier to know what roles we still need to fill
