Revolart 431 Posted March 15, 2015 that Kingdom Heart series would end up being so dark and confusing( not a bad thing) when you picked up the first Kingdom Heart game ? Well i didn't , I thought the whole series would end up being light hearted, not so sad and less confusing.
Sakuraba Neku 660 Posted March 15, 2015 (edited) I never thought I would wait so much for KH3, back then in 2006. Jokes aside, I never saw this complex plot coming either. HeyMouseSayCheese 1,133 Posted March 15, 2015 Things have gotten really complex since KH2 (technically CoM, but I didn't play that until way after KH2), so no, I can't say I'm surprised at how convoluted things got. By that point, series fans should probably have imagined things weren't about to get any simpler. Can't say I saw time travel coming, though.
HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted March 15, 2015 (edited) Sora basically committed suicide in KH1....not exactly what I would call completely light hearted LOL....As a whole though this series could actually be a lot darker- it's not that dark. It has it's moments but it's still cheesy as firetruck imo. As for being complex- that's what happens when Nomura writes this shit as he goes. Movies798 1,358 Posted March 15, 2015 Nah I pretty much understand the story line from Birth by Sleep to Re:coded. I pretty much understand Dream Drop Distance's story line but the only thing that got me confused was Xehanort's time traveling and stuff.
VisitJoan 2,713 Posted March 15, 2015 I knew what I was getting into. The wonders of Youtube.
Firaga 5,947 Posted March 15, 2015 Yes, but only because I wound up playing and completing KH2 first. If I had actually finished my first time with KH1, I would probably think differently.
Aang 649 Posted March 15, 2015 I actually thought the series was completely different. I thought I was playing as the Disney characters, not Sora. So, it all became a suprise. I tend to just focus on the main story line, and not go to in-depth.
hatok 6,413 Posted March 16, 2015 Let's not confuse 'complex' and 'complicated' folks Calling KH's story complex implies it has any level of depth to it Sora basically committed suicide in KH1....not exactly what I would call completely light hearted LOL....As a whole though this series could actually be a lot darker- it's not that dark. It has it's moments but it's still cheesy as firetruck imo. As for being complex- that's what happens when Nomura writes this shit as he goes. not basically, the wikipedia summary literally classifies it was 'altruistic suicide'
