You can literally feel the growth of the characters as we, the people who play the games, grow up in real life. Most of the people here, including myself, have been playing the games for a very long time, some people since its inception, and so, the darker tone and the more mature conflicts are a result of this. But I really don't think that the games will get that dark to the point of cuss words and such other things. You don't have to put cuss words in something to make it dark. The way the stories are written, the way the characters cope with the situations they face, the way Xehanort makes everyone's life a living hell, is all as a result of the ever evolving storyline that has literally grown alongside us. Kingdom Hearts III will be a satisfying close to the Xehanort Saga, with the appropriate dark tone, but also with lighthearted moments for sure. Because the lighthearted moments in the series really make the dark moments have a more impactful meaning, you know? But yeah, I think the series has grown pretty well over the years!
