Hargleblargleboo 979 Posted February 25, 2015 Wow, Disney! I don't remember you guys ever screening an ANIMATED short over your LIVE-ACTION film! This is so groundbreaking for you! And you uploaded this trailer after you won both Oscars, and when Dreamworks swept the Annie Awards! Coincidence? Aw, I'm so proud of you guys!~ You're gonna make SOO much cash solely from this short, money that you WON'T pay your overworked artists to! Next thing you know, it won't matter if your animated features are of the highest quality in visual storytelling and artistic integrity! If your animated princess musicals make a lot of money for your corporate wage-fixing masters, that's all that really matters! And if it doesn't make as much money as they wanted, just shove the film under the rug, like you did with 'Big Hero 6'! Sorry for my rant. I'm someone who keeps an eye on the animation industry and its people. But in all seriousness, this makes me upset. Makes me think that if that short is successful, Disney will use its animation department only for making money. 3 Philip Ellwell, Forever and The Transcendent Key reacted to this

Then all you will be hearing about is Moana (if it is successful). I'm not surprised by this, its an extremely successful Disney movie (biggest box office Animation Disney has, as well as highest animation box office in general). Its the recent Disney Princess movie. Kids love it, they will sell it. They'll use that money for other projects. Its still possible Frozen will still be here in a decade, just like Lion King is still here today. 3 Hargleblargleboo, The Transcendent Key and Robbie the Wise reacted to this

I mean, I understand that Disney is a corporation, and making a profit is kind of the goal, but it's hard to tell what's really heart and what's just for money these days. I mean to be honest, I miss their 2D animations. There was just this classic, heartfelt touch to them that made each film unique and memorable. Even though some may not have made as much money as others, (Hercules, Pocahontas, etc.) people still remember them because of what they were, not because their merchandise plagued stores for nearly two years. While 3D is cool, it's ALL they do now because it's popular, and they only want to keep up with the other guys doing it. (Dreamworks) In fact, they shut the 2D studio down just because of money. Big Hero 6 wasn't bad, but if all of our future Disney characters are going to look like distant relatives of Elsa, then I'm not too hyped. 2 Hargleblargleboo and The Transcendent Key reacted to this

TheKingdomkid 1,194 Posted February 26, 2015 I don't understand why you are all getting so bend out of shape for this, it's a short film thing, yes it's a little weird they would have a trailer for it but so what, they had a short film for Tangled after that movie has been out for years, that's what Disney has been doing for a long time now putting little animation things at the beginning of their movies, they had one for Wrack-It Ralph, they had one for Big Hero 6 and I'm sure they had one for Frozen and Tangled. The only odd thing here is that they released a trailer for it that's it. Everyone just put your dicks back in your pants and calm down.
Philip Ellwell 5,487 Posted February 26, 2015 I seriously didn't expect this high a backlash: Sorry if I caused trouble. I was just pointing out A. trailer has been released B. it looks below average, even for a animated sequel short. The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted February 26, 2015 (edited) Well this is interesting. Lol, I laughed when the trailer said that the only way to see the short is by watching Cinderella. Lol, that's Disney marketing for ya! I mean sure, Frozen was great and it had a powerful message, but it would be wise for Disney not to make this a cash grab gig. Beloved characters will end up getting used for merchandising and profit, and well, that's not what the spirit of Frozen is about. Hargleblargleboo 979 Posted February 26, 2015 Nah, they've released trailers for their other short animated films in the past. Like 'Get a Horse!' and 'Feast', so it isn't that odd at all. BUT the thing is that nobody besides the animation freaks really cared. But this is 'Frozen'-related, something a lot a people recognize. What IS odd is that they are gonna screen this animated short before a live-action film, because they usually do that before their animated features. They are still growing with the 3D. I mean, Snow White, Cinderella and Aurora have almost the same face. Probably Alice too. Later on, the faces became a lot more individual. It will be the same with 3D. 1 Forever reacted to this
