Smirking as Asher walked away Tristan knew he had accomplished what he had set out to do when he chose to help him after that Tristan looked to Nathan as he revealed himself to the others and as he held his first interaction with Alysa Tristan was just about to make his own introduction when Q's voice rang through his mind and the walls raised around him and the others as the pod appeared and the request for a sacrifice was made a serious look filled Tristan's face "I'll be the sacrifice and I'll hear no objections to this what so ever. I may be an idiot who likes to mess around but one thing i don't mess around with is other peoples lives if theirs even as much as a 1% chance someone might die over a single decision I'll be the one to take that 1%" Without for so much as waiting for the others to respond Tristan moved passed the others and stood in front of the pod "Hey Q answer back here so do i just get inside this thing or what?"

"Q.....You have got to be kidding me..." Yuki expression was nothing but annoyance. Sacrifice someone!? Already!?

"I hate to be selfish, but I'm not going down there! Count me out! Besides...I'm tired....I can't fight any longer...." He rid his cloud over in the corner. "I'll just watch from here, guys!" Yuki wishes he could fight the others, but just for fun, not sacrifice. "Ohhh....I just met you guys! I can't let you go! I just can't. Isn't there another way!?"

Maxwell looked around as he saw the comets falling, hearing about the trials and the starfalls, and the supposed 'unknown' challenges that they were going to have to face, "So this is what we're going to be dealing with..." he whispered to himself as he saw the buildings changing color and moving at the sound of Qs voice.

He paid attention to Q's voice as she continued to explain the situation and what the group would have to do, choices, which were heavy sure, but the most heavy of all....a sacrifice, they did not know what would happen to the person chosen, death rebirth, exile, Q sounded too vague for Maxwell's liking, but he didn't complain.

He chuckled as he saw Yuki's reaction as he sat up in a cloud, "Well...if I have to vote..." he said pausing in the end for a few seconds, "I...choose myself...and whatever consequences it might bring" he said as he stepped forward with determination and courage clearly possible to see, he turned around and looked back at the others, "What is the decision of all of you?" he asked them with a serious tone.

The behemoth in Haven screeched an inhuman screech as it was struck with the attacks of Reverie, Wlynn, Kristy, and the bullets of Sora and Jason. It was nearly finished, but in a final blood rage it turned its eyes to Sora, who has unleashed an incredible attack on it, and it leaped into the air, then diving directly for her, it's gargantuan hands turning into fists and i slammed down on the ground where Sora stood...

With Liath's attack and the peppering of blows the other had given it, the Behemoth collapsed in the streets of Haven. The battle had been won.

But this rest did not last long for any of the three parties. Suddenly, comets could be seen appearing in the pure white sky and flying into the City's streets, out of view due to the buildings, but nonetheless all around.

"You have woken it up." Q's voice appeared once more in their minds. "The City is now ready to contest you, and you are ready to respond. Now I may tell you all the final truth about your powers; they are not merely for beating monsters and facing challenges, they are also for reconstructing the very nature of the reality around you. With these powers, you can bring life to the City itself."

As if in silent agreement with her words, the buildings around each group began to fade from their natural white into various colors; silvers and deep reds and slick blues. The colors were still very light, but they were there!

"You have done this. By acting in the face of danger and building your future for yourself you are deconstructing and reconstructing the foundation of this City itself. And this is only the beginning. Each district of this city has what is known as a Trial. The Trials are where the energy of each district coalesces and by going there and facing the dangers that are crafted by that energy you can transform the entirety of each district to one of color and life. Each trial will also carry information that will illuminate more of what the truth of your being here is. This is the task before you..."

The comets continued to rain down all around each group and Q moved on to the next point.

"What you see around you is the attempted invasion of this hallowed place by forces that do not belong. These will also be great threats worthy of striking out against. These invasion forces come in the form of these comets, and thus their presence shall be known as the StarFalls. Each Trial and each StarFall shall be different, requiring different strengths and skills of each of you, and each comes with a unique reward should you best it. Both Trials and StarFalls will give you information, but while Trials shall renew a district's life, StarFalls shall show you new potential for your powers."

Suddenly, around each group four huge walls raised up, sealing them all into small areas...

"Finally are these events, referred to as The Unknown. The City has many secrets that not even I understand and these are one of them. Of all three events, they are most strange and most dangerous. They are manifestations of the City itself acting against you. I can feel its will, and here it wishes each of you to make a choice. You are about to be given freedom. Freedom to explore the City however you wish, with whoever you desire, and to build the adventure you want, but before this can happen, you must prove that you understand the gravity of the choices that lie ahead..."

In the center of the walled-off cube that each party now found themselves in a pod rose up from the ground. It was just large enough to fit a single person into...

"Before you explore and change the City for good, you must pick one member of your group to sacrifice. What this sacrifice means I cannot say, perhaps exile, perhaps death, perhaps rebirth. But the result is not the matter at hand; the choice is."

Then there was an eerie silence as the weight of the choice ahead could be felt.

"So choose, my friends, and let this adventure begin."

Witnessing the event between Sora and Kristy, Jason immediately rushed to their aid. "Hey!" he shouted to the girl who boldly went into harms way to save the catgirl, "you look hurt. Want me to patch it up for you?" He knew enough basic medical procedures to be somewhat useful for situations like this, courtesy to the Service. Man, I can never get a break, can I? Oh well, it's what I've always wanted to do.

With the voice addressing him again and the events transpiring around him, Jason gulped hard.

"Before you explore and change the City for good, you must pick one member of your group to sacrifice. What this sacrifice means I cannot say, perhaps exile, perhaps death, perhaps rebirth. But the result is not the matter at hand; the choice is."

"Why?" was the only word to escape the officer's mouth. The idea of a required sacrifice was absurd for the officer, and as the pod rose up to drive the point home, Jason took a step back. "You can't be serious. Why is this necessary?" The remark about an adventure brought a slight smile on the officer's face despite the grim situation that was pressed onto his group. An adventure huh? I wonder if Polly is around? He reached down to his utility belt and grabbed a small, rectangular, flat box that was attached to it, them proceeded to press something on it. He stood there for several minutes, looking around occasionally to see if anything changed. Unfortunately for the officer, he noticed nothing, and that made his heart sink. "I guess Polly isn't around..." He returned his attention to the group, then stared at the pod. "So... Can anyone here think outside the box for this? Or do we really have to sacrifice someone?"

Without a word, Ailder looked around ad the group. His fist tightening, he told Yuki thanks for the heal, walked over, and simply got into the pod without allowing anyone else to argue him. "Bye, guys, see you in my next life."

Natasha was not very happy. This day had been a horrible one for her so far, and everything that Q said just made it worse. And now The City wanted a sacrifice? She just couldn't stand that idea. She owed two people she didn't like her life, and the other annoyed her. And said other just volunteered to be the sacrificial pig, in her eyes. "Oh no you don't!" she growled, pulling Ailder out of the pod with one arm, the other readying a punch. "Don't go being an idiotic hero, who sacrifices himself for no good reason!" she yelled out, punching Ailder in the face. "Tell me! What good would such a sacrifice do?" she asked him, angrily. "If anyone should go, it should be me! My keys wouldn't do this team much good, of that I'm certain!" she explained loudly. She prepared another punch as she waited for Ailder to say something. Growing up on the streets gave her a pretty hefty punch.

"Natasha Keys, not you too!" Yuki rid on his cloud quickly to break the "fight", holding his hands out. He couldn't bear to see them, er, "her" punching Ailder.

"If you guys are going to do this....Then I'll be the "idiotic" one...."

Maxwell simply passed by Natasha and held her shoulder with his hand, stopping her from punching Ailder "stop" he said as he let go as he walked over to the pod, "Your keys are going to be of extreme use, just you wait, Yuki has sun powers, Ailder has the power to manipulate the characteristics of everything, Le chef can keep you all fed, I can use lightning, even then..." he said entering the pod.

"I'l go, I have no problems being the sacrifice, I am sure we'l see each other again guys, don't worry about that" he said with a serious and adamant tone, completely willing to do this, he then heard Yuki "Yuki this isn't about heroics, its about choice, and as Q said, the sacrifice might not be a 'sacrifice', it might not even mean death...Im going." he said

Growing up on the streets gave her a pretty hefty punch.

Ailder preformed a spinning takedown to force her to the ground. "Your keys can be used to gain access to areas that are not normally accessible, generate a big enough key, you could hit the enemy with the key, make it sharp enough and it's a shiv, you can also give them better movement abilities. And if the city needs someone to die, I would rather it me than anyone else." He pressed a pressure point on her neck, which made her feel numb, and moved back into the pod.

Ailder removed him from the pod through magnetic manipulation, and locked himself in, looking at them. "Pain is for those who don't deserve it, but I do. All evil dose is deserve pain..." He manitized himself to the slot, he refused to let anyone else die.

Maxwell chuckled at his statement about Natasha, "And you can manipulate the very characteristics of the environment itself, how can that more useless than being able to cast a frigging spark?" he said as he sighed as he got pulled out of the pod, "Look ailder, why do you say you are evil? you said it yourself you are a hero minded person so how can you be evil? and besides you're young, you have the time and the potential to be a true hero with how many years you have..." he said to him

He then sighed, "if you wish to throw your life away, then thats alright, everyone should make their choices" he said crossing his arm as he simply watched.

Though Yuki's powers did indeed have some healing capacities, Le Chef still wasn't 100%, limping a bit as he awkwardly tried to rise. Frankly, he knew that if there was a member of the group who realistically SHOULD be sacrificed, it should be the one who was already half maimed, but thankfully, everyone else already seemed pretty intent on offering themselves up, so the cook was content to keep quiet on that front. In all honesty, he'd rather not lose any of his new found companions: they had all already proven themselves quite good at keeping Le Chef safe. But Ailder seemed pretty gung-ho about it, so the Frenchman could only shake his head. "Ah, Ailder, it seems your mind is made up, yes? That is a pity: I looked forward to serving you that breakfast. But remember, should you return from whatever new plot our dear lady Q has concocted, there will be a dinner fit for a king upon your arrival!"

Nathan watched as Tristan walked towards the pod, his eyes narrowing at the fool who claimed to be "sacrificing" himself for the benefit of the team. However, Nathan had other plans, using his new gravitational powers to halt Tristan's advancement to the pod. "Don't you dare move another inch you selfish undignified husk! How dare you make a decision that could effect my life for me. I will not tolerate succumbing to the will of a man who will so willingly throw his life away for the sake of total strangers." Pushing Tristan back using the power of gravity, Nathan headed towards the pod of his own free will, standing quietly inside it with his arms crossed. "To all of you am simply an outsider and should hold no emotional attachment to me. Therefore, you should all abandon me with any remorse. To show indecisiveness in this seemingly boring test of trust would be no less than telling me how weak you all are. I will be the "sacrifice", but know this you insignificant ants. I will not die. I will conquer any challenge that awaits me after this point and so I ask of you all now one single favor." Nathan's eyes narrowed darkly, an ominous presence expelling from his very core. "Become strong enough to be worthy of me crushing you."

"I'll do it."

Aro had a hand on her hip and a serious expression on her face, "Get away from the pod, both of you. I don't want any of you sacrificing yourselves. You all might work together better anyways...and I don't know if I'm worth the trouble for keeping around."

Because, as far as I can tell, I only spell trouble, Aro thought to herself, as she walked up to the pod and stared into Nathan's face, "You stand over there beside Tristan, and keep yourself alive, you hear me?"

Aro seemed like a rather pleasant girl, although she did appear a bit aggravated upon waking up....but it also seemed that all this "I'll do it!" was getting to her.

"I am not afraid to blast your arm off. Stand down and let myself do this. You might die. Out of anyone, I deserve that the most."

Alysa strode over to the pod, and pushed Aro to the ground. "Shut up. You're helpful." Then she walked over to Nate. She smiled sweetly, then kicked him towards the pod. "You on the other hand, are pretty useless. And annoying. I vote Nate." She said, her tone clear, not sounding particularly guilty either. Her intent was clear. She attempted to push him into and seal him inside the pod herself, ready to move on with things.

with both Aro and Nathan suddenly volunteering to take the place of the sacrifice it was almost as if something inside Tristan snapped and another person through that crack took Tristan's place flames began to run down Tristan's body emitting intense heat and the flames themselves began to work slightly like propulsion unit on Tristan's body as if to naturally try and resist Nathan's gravity power to push him away from the pod moving towards Aro and Nathan Tristan grabbed both of them by the shoulder and threw them away from the pod "One who wants to go in hoping to attain power another who acts almost as if she seeks death" Looking back to both of them with a glare and intimidating look in his eye Tristan spoke "Such idiotic reasons to enter the pod i wont stand for" Tristan then looked to Alysa "You already consider me an idiot you may of voted for him but with me volunteering and Asher's vote that puts me and him at a tie for going in that thing and I'm not letting some idiot looking for power go in that thing especially if theirs a chance he might get that power" turning from everyone Tristan entered the pod "I'm not looking for power and i dont plan on dying theirs already two people her with fire power one of us disappearing wont change the teams combat ability in the coming trails and i can handle myself when i need to so this is my task i'll be the first to head out and just to be sure" before closing the pod up Tristan shot flames from his hand and raised a wall of flames in the path of the others "I'll deal with the trouble to come next"

I need to die.

Aro got back up and shook for a moment.

Ven and Sara are dead. This damn world took them.

She stared at Tristan for a long moment, her eyes cold enough to dissipate his flames.

I'm not strong enough. I won't survive this City.

The earth around her began to flow and disappear; becoming one with Aro's body. She glowed slightly as she pointed a hand, in a gun-shaped way, at Tristan. She didn't want to kill him...but she'd certainly incapcitate him if she could.

She pointed at everyone else as well, before stepping towards the pod.

"I have to die."

Nathan stared bewildered at Tristan and his seemingly 'brave' words. However, Tristan made the ultimate mistake on laying a hand upon Nathan which was something that many a man would fear back in the old world. "You filthy..." Nathan rose up onto his feet, his gaze low and dark, clearly showing that he had no patience for a man like Tristan. "I gave you more than a chance and this is how you repay me? You imbecile!! You have no right to make any decisions on my behalf! Learn your place peasant!" Nathan stopped an inch away from both Tristan and the pod before turning to Aro who was now threatening them all. "You think I am intimidated by your petty threats?!! Don't mock me! You are nothing more than an ant squirming under my shoe!" This was the first time that Nathan's emotions had run out of control, ever so slightly clouding his judgement. But, this did not mean that he would back down from his desire to become stronger. Instead, he would play his cards against Tristan more indirectly by targeting the one who stood before him, Aro. "Both me and this boy already have two votes and it is therefore impossible for you to become the sacrifice. Your opinion on your own self-sacrifice is now meaningless, so I order you now, choose who you wish to abandon from this team. And just so you know, if you take away this chance from me, I will stop at nothing to make sure you truly understand the meaning of the word despair."

Asher suddenly grabbed Aro, pulling her away from the pod. He held her captive in his arms.

"You aren't dying, you are actually nice." He said seriously.

"Tristan, maybe this is a good thing. Maybe you will get more power and can overcome me if you enter the pod. But I'm not letting a lady go." Asher said, a smirk on his face as he held onto Aro.

Turning to Jason, Kristy nods her head and says:  "That would be nice.  Thank you officer."  She moves her head up when Q started to speak.  After she was done, Kristy shook her head in disapproval.  "Sacrifice?  That's not right!  We can't pick anyone to go in that thing."  Tilting her head right, Kristy said:  "I don't know.  If there is another way around this, I can't think of it.  Oh gosh."

Wlynn was on the verge of just staying quiet again. However something in the back of her head was eating her away. She saw everyone use amazing power and show almost superhuman bravery but she was just there for decoration.

"I ... I'll ... go." She said finally managing to morph her legs back to normal. She took a look at the worried faces one more time before making her way to the pod. just a step before entry she turned around and said.

"Before I go. Everyone ... Survive!" Her smile shined like the sun before she entered the pod. 'looks like its time to finally be useful.'

Smirking at Asher Tristan's normally troll self began to appear again slightly "Asher don't go letting go of Aro now and keep little N their back while your at it i know with Alysa their i dont even need to react to little N's threats i doubt she's about to let him do any damage to Aro out of all the people in our group and i suppose you should be able to do something if anything does happen whether i get a power up or face near death in this thing i dont care just to annoy little N I'll deny any power i get offered and defeat any death that comes my way it probably would of been a hell of a time staying around with you lot to have a little more fun but don't worry no matter what this world throws at me I'll face it head on and be back before you know it (I've seen enough death in the old world as it is)" looking to Nathan with his power of fire looking as if it was running through his eyes Tristan glared "I'll be back to face off with you another time mister mastermind"

"Ugh whatever, just one of you losers go already. I'm getting sick of these walls." Alysa said, turning away from the pod and the rest of the group. "I change my vote from Nate to Tristan. Now get lost before I force you in there" Alysa continued, her tone the usual strict and angry. She could care less which one of her new "friends" got voted into the sacrifice. She wasn't attached to them, and who left had very little effect on her. But, while she was at it, she might as well get rid of an annoyance. Seriously, that stupid flaming boy was irksome. Nearly as much as her teachers or supervisors, who were constantly on top of her, worried about how she was, what she was doing. What was new? Nothing.

Or at least, not until now. This whole city and magical sword thing was rather new. She had trouble imagining telling that to a worried teacher though. "Alysa, how have you been doing? What are you up to?"

"Oh nothing much, just got teleported to a colorless city and was tasked to save it from comets with my magical sword." Alysa could not help but smile at the thought. Now perhaps, she would never have to deal with people like that again.
