Skyline (Roleplay Thread)

Q spit blood off to her right, and in a moment it has evaporated in the very air. She gripped her one remaining blade; the one that seemed to swallow all the light around it, and moved into a battle pose, stepping closer and closer to the group.

"Such fools... you are all such fools. But you won't listen, so you have left me with no recourse."

She readied her blade and the room grew still and deathly quiet. Q was trying not to show it but she was nearly finished. Between maintaining the City for so long, and now facing off against so many powerful individual. This was her last stand, and she was going to make it count.

"Come now, let's end this."

Sora had been thrown in the air and hit the ground, stunned...but as she stood, another gate appeared. Her outfit changed, from Senketsu to Saber Lily. Gripped now in her hand was the golden sword Caliburn, the Sword in the Stone. She slid and then kicked off as Q said let's finish this, her sword glowing. The special power that Saber had, was the one she was about to unleash. She concentrated, summoning any power she could from her fallen comrades...and for Kristy.

"Yeah...let's end this." Sora said. "Because I will make memories...ones that I have made, and that I want!" She kicked off, and flew straight for Q.

Maxwell was flung accross the battlefield, the attack too fast for him to react, as he had a rough landing, rolling on the ground several times from the force of the throw, "Grr" he grunted in pain as he had some bruises from the throw, thankfully the armor withstood most of the impact.  slowly standing up, Maxwell noticed Q powering up again. "Fools huh? I can live with that... as long as I get to kill you!" He said as his lightning turned into a red color now, as he supercharged himself to the point of going beyond his limit, but this time...he could take it.

Lightning appearing on his hand as he closed his palm on it, soon enough, everyone of his allies were supercharged by electricity, increasing their dexterity and speed, as his own was increased as well, as Maxwell dashed at Q, zig-zagging as he went, appearing beside her, as he slashed upwards with his sword, filled with electricity, the sword let out a electric shockwave just from swinging it.

Shade shook her head. "Geez, not  listening to someone is rude." She was mad, very mad. She put her hand on the ground. "I'm so done!" She sent caused the ground under Q to start crumbling under her. "I just want peace okay?! But you just won't stop,so I have no choice. I'm sorry it's just not my choice anymore...." Shade felt her heart sink and she whispered:'I'm sorry'.

"It's about time Q....Iku Ze."" Yuki said in a cold tone. With just making one step, he jolted off and appeared above Q, bringing multiple kicks towards her head at fast speed. Yuki then ascended up in air with his hands surrounded by yellow light. The Sun Saiyan threw his hands at fast speed shooting down a barrage of Sun Blasts. And finally, Yuki disappeared and then reappeared behind his "sister" facing back to back. "I hoped you would understand....I hoped..." He whispered before turning around and performing one more Kamehameha blast.

Kristy's shield was not in the best of conditions right now.  One more shrapnel hit and it would crumble.  Kristy tried thinking of a way out.  Just one thing came to mind for her.  She puts her right palm behind the shield and fires a beam behind it.  The shield disintegrates, along with the pieces of shrapnel that came toward it.  Kristy sighed out of relief.  She wasn't sure if that would work.  She looks back to where Q was.  Kristy was kind of surprised to see her spit out blood.  But it came to her that Q must not have much left to keep fighting.  She thought to herself:  This is it.  We have to finish her off now.  Kristy pressed the other button on her bracelet and dons the suit in it.  She formed a gauntlet on her right hand and charged at Q.  Being close enough, Kristy made a jab as fast and hard as she could at her.  Kristy jumped back and thought:  I hope I do this right.  And I hope Yuki doesn't mind.  She placed her palms by her right side.  She puts her left leg forward and her right back.  She breathes in and then exhales.  "Kaaaaaaaaaaaa......meeeeeeeeeee...haaaaaaaaa.....meeeeeeeee"  Energy starts building up in Kristy's palms and gets bigger with each second.  "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"  She thrusts both palms forward and fires her own Kamehameha wave at Q.  Kristy hopes it would be enough help to end things.

And with that it happened.

Sora slammed into Q before she had a chance to react. The AI flew across the hellish zone, but before she could touch the ground Maxwell appeared next to her, and sent her upward with a savage electric blow.

She hit the ground, and angrily began to recover as she was hit by two gigantic energy blasts; the Kamehameha blasts from both Yuki and Kirsty.

As she fell the ground it crumbled beneath her, and she drifted down into the black nothingness, using her last moment to simply look at Yuki. She didn't speak but her words spoke volumes.

Anger.

Hate.

Sorrow.

Gratitude.

And then Q was gone.

And so was the world.

Each could sense one another, but there was no sight anymore. No sound, not even a faint hum or a far-off noise just... silence.

until...

"You. You are them. The ones who will make the choice." The voice that spoke was Q. And the Doctor. And Nathan. And Tristan. And everyone, living or gone. All at once.

"I am The City. And I am your creation, and your final will. I need know only this; what is it you wish of the world?"

"Oh great." Alysa said. To be honest, she was very glad it had come down to this. Very very glad. But, true to herself, she wasn't about to let her stubborn and crass side fall away again, not after just what happened. "I wish that the world becomes a blessed place with nothing but happiness now and forever? Is that possible for you, you stupid City?" She called out into the emptiness.

Yuki stared at Q as she was in her final moments. He didn't have to know what she said for he could only feel what she was feeling. The emotions just struck him. And then...His Sister was finally gone. For good. The Red-Tailed Saiyan then de-transformed back to his normal state and appearance and closed his eyes. A tear shed from his left eye as he whispered...

Bye Sis.

Once he opened his eyes back, he couldn't see anyone or hear anything. Nothing. "Sora? Kristy? Maxwell? Alysa? Where are you guys?" He called out. Still nothing. Right and left. Up and down. Nothing. Then...He heard the voices. The City's voice. It asked: "I need to know this; what is it you wish for this world?" Yuki thought for a moment. After this experience, his experience, their experience....He said:

"I.....I wish for this world....To be peaceful....To be vibrant. To be free of all conflicts and struggles and destruction and malice. I want the City to be a Human World. Where everyone has a life of their own. A family of their own. Mother, Father, Sister Brother....Friends. I wish for the City....To live in Peace and for us to live our lives as we want! No more drama, no more trouble, no more suffering, no more fighting, NO MORE LIES! Please! And if The Doctor is listening....Don't you dare ever ask me a favor unless it's urgent. Because I can't trust a living soul who carries or has carried the burden that is a lie."

Yuki took a deep breath before he said one last thing.

"In short....I wish this world to have lasting peace and happiness!"

Shade laughed blissfully. "AS If that could happen. Nothing but a repeat of the same could come of this and while I wish for kittens and puppy-dogs I know they can't exist. To say such would be a lie. To say that emotions are real here is....nothing can change the outcome. 1 and 0s can't talk unless created to. This is all a skillful game played by someone unseen. So I need to ask for whom are you speaking 'city'?" To say she was done with everyone and everything was only fair. To her the only good that to come from this was an ending.

Sora panted softly, then her armor shattered into data shards and faded away, her clothing now merely daisy duke jean shorts and a large grey shirt. She stumbled a bit, before walking to Kristy. Her hand took her...girlfriend? Were they there or was she just...whatever. That's a bridge she'd cross in a sec.

"...City...how about we use it for the reason we decided to fight. Let's use the City to give humanity a real chance at happiness..."

With Q gone Kristy laid her hands on her knees.  Her aura fades away and she goes back to her regular clothes.  She made a deep sigh out of relief.  "That was pretty tough." Kristy mumbled to herself:  "So, this is it.  I guess it's over."  But now she found herself a bit confused.  The world around her was going away as well.  "W-what's going on?  Sora?  Yuki?  Anybody?  Hellooooo?"  She couldn't see anything everywhere she looked.  Kristy didn't hear any response from anyone. Not until she heard a voice.  No, more like dozens of voices.  The City itself was talking.  Kristy was both surprised and amazed at this.  When the City asked what she wished Kristy replied:  "My wish?  Uh, well....."  Before she could answer she felt something around her left arm.  Well, where she thinks her left arm is at least.  This sensation....it was Sora.  Kristy just knew it had to be her.  Now Kristy knew what she wanted to say.  "I wish that the world is a place of tranquility and happiness.  A place where there isn't too much trouble and chaos going around.  If it can't last like that forever, at least let it be for a good while.  Maybe a century or two if that isn't too much to ask."

Suddenly from the whiteness the appearance of each other member of the group came into focus. They were standing near each other as if a few feet away, but at the same time it seemed as if they could never truly reach one another, even if they ran for hours. This place they found themselves in had ceased to follow any rules of spacial logic as might exist in the real world.

The multitude of voices rang out once more in unison.

"I am the collection of your feelings, thoughts, beliefs. I am all that your thoughts, good and evil, passionate and subtle, have constructed during your time here. I have only just been born, with no masters to follow but you. When the one you know as Q died, the last chain that bound my potential was released and I came into being truly. I am currently safeguarding you all from one who wishes to control us both; the one you know as the Doctor."

A screen flashed upon the white nothingness. On it were several scientists scrambling around a series of highly-advanced-looking computers. One of them was the man who called himself The Doctor. All of them could hear him speak.

"Well where did they go?" The Doctor sounded anxious.

"I don't know sir, they... the whole City program just popped off the map. It routed itself through connected proxy servers and it carried them with it."

The Doctor slammed his hand on a table nearby.

"Damn it! I told them I could get them out. They could still do so much good for us!"

"Understood, sir, we're investigating the source of the..." The voices trailed off as the screen went transparent and everyone was back to standing in white space.

The City spoke once more.

"I have felt your fear and your confusion; your dedication and your sadness. I know none of you wish to be controlled by the wills of others. And thus I have brought you away from them and now I will allow you to do that which none of the others have; choose."

The screen reappeared, but this time it showed a live video of the rotating Earth, with live feeds of various cities and towns interspersed over the larger picture.

"This is Earth, as you all likely know. This is the Earth you never knew. The real Earth. You've experienced shades of it inside simulations, but this, what you see here, is the true cradle of mankind. And those of you who stand here now hold the power to change it forever. If you wish to, I can arrange to send you all onto the network that connects the various machines and computers of Earth. You will be able to seek vengeance on Mankind as you wish; waging war on people like the Doctor as you like. You can become a force to be reckoned with; vigilantes where few could ever reach you. Heroes in the shadows of the world's technology."

There was a significant pause as the entity prepared the second half of the choice.

"But... I was created to become one with that very network that connects all human civilization. As you have built me I have come closer and closer to being a force that can merge entirely with all of the world's technology. I can revolutionize government, health, science, exploration. or entertainment. I can cure the worst diseases, eliminate systematic bias and hate in government. I can became the greatest tool humanity has ever built and can be used by them to change their way of life in ever-evolving and positive ways..."

"... but humanity never built me. I was constructed by you. My framework is made up of your morals, your logic, and your drive. But to become what I need to be to change the world that framework must be filled. Merged with the very minds that created it to build a network that truly think and feels, and can work with humans as a human network. This is truly what The City is. A collection of the most noble and fair individuals reaching towards the stars; raising the Skyline of humanity's horizon as it pierces the clouds...."

"But you must give yourself up for this. If you merge with me, you will never again be quite what you were. One way to understand it is that you will become like the angels of many religions; watching over humanity, but with your body lost. You will, effectively, be killed. I say this, not to frighten you, but to assure of the gravity of this choice. You owe humanity nothing; you have no obligation to become their watchers. You can do as I have explained before, and rather live in the shadows of their network doing what you like. The choice, my masters, is up to you, but I will need all of you to comply for this to happen..."

"So then, my masters; will you become humanity's parallel, rising from the darkness toward the light as they fall, or will you become their salvation, sacrificing yourself to become the protectors and builders they may not even deserve to have?"

Then there was silence.

Silence and a choice.

Yuki's face lightened up brightly as he began to see his friends appear one by one. "Guys! You're alright!" Yuki ran towards them, but something was wrong....He wasn't moving. Not one bit. He ran faster and faster, determined to just hug his friends. No use. He wasn't even an inch closer. The young Red Tailed saiyan kept trying and trying no matter what, but he soon grew tired and starting panting. "What.....What the hell is going on?" He said under his breath. Then came the "Voices of The City" once again. This time with a choice.

To live and hide in shadows of the network....Or to sacrifice his life to protect the humans.

A difficult choice, yes, but he promised something to himself. And he wanted to keep his word.

"I choose.....To protect. Sure, I'm sacrificing my life, but I'll protect humans no matter what or how much the cost. I'll merge with you City. That's my choice. I would feel wrong to turn on their backs after what I did to my Sister, Q." Yuki raised his arms up in the air. "Take me away, City. The skies shall be the limit for me."

Sora stood there...her decision would be...detrimental. she shook a bit, eyes wide...all the fighting. All the struggle, all the pain.

She...she couldnt...

But deep down, she knew. So she moved as close to Kristy as she could, flung her arms around her, and kissed her as passionately as the shy foxgirl could.

"I love you..." she whispered. "City. Is...is there a way down the line...that we could one day have bodies? A...and one day, be able to hug and be together?" She didn't stop hugging Kristy.

"Even if there is not...I...I choose to become salvation. I have no real path beyond that...all I have done is to be with Kristy...and...I will...I will do what is right. So others don't have to fight and lose who they love ever again."

-Kahn- (Sorry for late post. :()

Like that, before Kahn even knew it...Q was gone. Dead. Destroyed. Deleted. Ending it all....or so it seemed, as soon after, everything changed as they were spoken to by a collection of voices, proclaiming themselves as The City. The very same City they had all worked hard to rebuild and recolour was talking to them, requesting to know what they would wish for now.

"Wishes? Spirits of The City, I'm afraid that is forfeit...wishing for things of such scale to occur just...does not occur, realistically. I could wish for world peace, for hatred to vanish, for all problems to cease...but it will never happen. For anything to happen...you must MAKE it happen." Kahn told The City, then they were in a white space, with more talking taking place along with them seeing The Doctor wandering where we vanished too and lamenting that they couldn't give them their salvation....strange.

Once more White Space enveloped them, along with the impeding force around them preventing travel and reunion hugs, with a choice being offered.

Become Humanity's hidden Vigilantes...or grant them total salvation at the cost of their existence.

"Spirits of The City.....I have seen a lot and learned a lot in the brief time I have been with these people, even learning that my "life" was false. Even how to be motivational/inspirational to my comrades...but, now I know so much more...and it's that we owe Humanity nothing. Humanity is the reason the S3's existed. Humanity is the reason Q did what she did. Humanity is the reason The City and you all existed. Humanity is the reason I and my comrades exist....but they gave us naught but lies and begging for our co-operation...for Salvation they do not deserve...while existence is promised to us, but never gained and never will be...." He spoke in a tone dripping with sorrow and solemnness, as if he were mourning, even his head held low...before he raised it once more with a defiant and confident look upon his face, his orange eyes narrowing.

"I take another option. To destroy this City, give Humanity neither and put an end to this fallacy. Let Humanity make their own fate, to prove by themselves they deserve salvation and prosperity....for us to make a meaningful sacrifice rather than a needless and worthless one. Even if I must do it myself, I won't allow you to meddle in their affairs." Kahn spoke sincerely and without fear, knowing in his Heart what must be done.

When the whole cluster happened,Chester ended up completely corrupted like many of the previous S4s.The realization that he wasn't human wasn't what he couldn't accept,it was a lack of meaningful existence that he couldn't bear. And so he perished before the fight could even fight.Right now,he was floating into the never-ending black oblivion, covered with different glitches all over his body.He listened to the others wishes, not knowing what he truly wanted.Given the choice he was given by the City,he thought about.

His artificial memories flooded his mind.He remembers the pain of losing his parents, his suffering from PTSD and suicidal thoughts ,his loneliness, his anger toward the fact how cruel the world was.But he remembered the good times that he had.He remembered his first friends. He remembered how hard and stressful university was,but in the end, passing the exams was the biggest joy.He remembered the little things. The landscapes of his hometown in Oregon, the sleepness night lights in Tokyo. He reflected back on his real memories, the first time he woke up under that enormous chandelier back in the ballroom. He chuckled at the thought that was the time when his heart made out of zeros and ones started beating for the first time. And he was there to hear it.He was there,to experience it all-Nora,The City,The ride on the clouds, the galaxy, even the fights. In a way he was looking for a way to see how it's like to be in a human's shoes.

"I...I don't know.Becoming part of you will is the biggest salvation that ever existed, right? But,that means that life will become meaningless.Think about it,to experience the good parts of life, you'll have to experience the bad parts at first,so you can know how it feels.Humanity will always try make flaws for itself so it has a meaning to exist.Life isn't fair, yes, but that's the point.Nothing is perfect .If I become a part of you I wouldn't be the perfect guardian. But If I stay here,my whole eternity would be oblivion .So I leave this up to you,my City.If you want to exist so badly, take me.If not, please give me the power to create a world, universe in this oblivion,so S4 and S3 that rejected you have where to live."

Now,he waited anxiously in the silence.

Alysa bit her lip. A decision of this magnitude required actual thought opposed to a blurted out sarcastic comment. The City might not appreciate that kind of humor after all. She slid her blade into a fresh scabbard on her waist, and began to braid her hair absentmindedly. Humans were despicable creatures weren't they? Even in her fabricated memories they were terrible, and in her revelation, they had become no better. They were still selfish and uncaring, manipulative and destructive. The others were already making their choice. Most displayed an interest in becoming fully a part of the City. Alysa knew she was selfish herself for this, but she didn't want that. Losing her individuality to save a people that had done her no good. Why would she do such a thing? The program turned away from the City and the others. "Why?" She muttered. "How can you all do that so easily?" She said loudly, bringing attention to her, but still not looking at them. "Maybe I'm not the best at seeing things in a good light, but the way I see it, you all want to help some beings that never did anything good by us. All they did was lie and manipulate for their own good." She whirled around, her silver hair glinting in the light, glancing between everybody there. "They don't deserve our help! Hell, we'd be better off evolving cows into an intellectual species than give salvation to humans!" She yelled, throwing her arms up in frustration. "Humans are miserable, malevolent, and above all selfish creatures. They gave us falsities and expected us to reciprocate the gift by fixing all of their problems. Problems that they made for themselves! Someone tell me the logic behind helping them at all."

"I agree with whoever said that..." Maxwell finally spoke agreeing with Alyssa, on both knees with his hands on them as well, like he was meditating, as lightning crackled around him in the empty void, "My entire existence as a lie, the memories, the pain, all were manufactured, artificially made by humans or by Q...it doesn't matter." He said, without increasing his serious tone.

"You may all want to help the city to assist the humans, like you owe them for your existence, but I don't..." He said opening his eyes, "I know it is selfish, but I refuse to help those who made my entire existence a lie, you may all do as you please...just count me out, I am not picking any sides in this." He said, he didn't have anything against the humans, as he knew it was only a select few, but he was not about to help the ones who did all this. "ANd besides, what is to say that IF you all help the city, make it able to help humans, it won't be manipulated, configured to help with weapon's development? wars? death? there is way too many underlying tones for me to even consider taking the option." Maxwell explained.

"Not all humans are evil, but the small minority of humans who are benevolent, haven't been able to stop wars, murders, genocides, in the end, lives will still be lost, death will still be common, there is nothing we can do to change that, in the real world of people with 'free will', which wasn't programed into them...and yet all they do is wage war on one another for petty reasons such as race and culture..." Maxwell said, remaining in his meditating position.

"I am not helping the ones who did this. the ones who probably have control of everything right now, like the Doctor, now that Q's gone, wonder what he's doing or planning...".

Hearing Alyssa and Maxwell agree with what he said bolstered his already great confidence, as well as making him smile a genuine smile, if only a small one and out of sight, before going back to his serious face and looking at both of them in intervals as he replied.

"For Humanity, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...it's why those who want peace and are kind are always the ones forgotten, destroyed or just have their actions mean nothing..." He uttered, his fists clenching as his own Life Energy Aura glowed with his emotions brewing within him.

"I don't even want any of us associating with Humans anymore...we should distance ourselves from them, live in our own world. Even if I was still "evil", I wouldn't want to be near them, let alone conquer them....the lies they fed us, are more evil than I or even Q could have ever been." Kahn spoke solemnly once more, then looked around at everyone present. "I will not even stand by...and just allow this to happen. For they could re-purpose you for War, like Maxwell said, or perhaps merging with The City leaves you in unbearable Purgatory, forced for eternity to watch as Humanity abuses the power of The City for their own selfish ends...and even the option of being a Dark Vigilante isn't even close to what the Humans deserve, because it's still undeserved help." He added, starting to sound angry.

Yuki let his hands down. Something wasn't right. It didn't feel right. Sure, it was the most noble but....Was there a way...?

"What if.....What if we could create a new world here?" He spoke out. "A world where we don't have to worry about humans or Maruders or Dolls or death or anything! You heard the Doctor, the City is off the map. They have no way of getting to us. We could turn this whole white space into a brand new land, inhabited by no one but us."

Yuki turned around to the others. "We can make our rules, our homes, our choices for once. Best thing is we can live for as long as we can. Plus, we have the powers! They gave us these powers for a reason. I feel that it's time to really make them useful." Yuki right hand glowed in sunlight.

"I don't even think we need Shenron to grant our wish. Like I said, we have the powers. Let's use it. Together."

"....To build a new City."

With the whiteness clearing away Kristy could see everyone again.  She tries walking towards Sora, but couldn't reach her.  Kristy does her best, but still nothing. Although, she could still feel the hug and kiss Sora was giving her.  Kristy just smiled for a little while.  She went to hug and kiss Sora back.  "I love you." Kristy mumbled.  Then she heard the City talking again.

"Are those really our only options?"  Kristy asked the City.  She didn't know what else to say to it at first.  "Yes, the majority of humanity is awful.  All of the horrid things they've done to each other over the years makes me sick.  Well, not the actual act of being sick since I can't, but you know what I mean.  I admit that I didn't like finding out my life was a lie.  And to think of being used for something like killing others, or anything such as that bothers me too much.  People who want to do things like that don't deserve saving."

Kristy paused for a moment and closed her eyes.  "But the people who are good in the world do need saving.  No matter how few of them are around, they should have a chance of being happy and live.  Whether they can be in a new word that doesn't have anything wrong with it, or be protected in the current one that has a bunch of things wrong with it.  Those people should have something.  But if they can't have anything, then having a world just for us S4s is the next best thing I guess."

"So..." The voice of the City spoke after a prolonged silence.

"You wish to create a haven for just yourselves; a new world, a new City. A homeland for AIs like yourself, and to turn your back on the original human race and leave them to their own devices, is this your unanimous choice?"

"No...." Yuki answered, looking up at the white sky with his head held up high. "We'll create a New City where those of us can also help humans without anyone else knowing, not even The Doctor. We'll create a world where all things are possible, where we choose whether or not to help...I dream...No...We all dream of a new City where we are not forced to work our asses off. That will be our choice. We'll create a home for all of us. And we'll create a way to help humans for some of us who want to."

Yuki then held a Sun Orb in his right hand. "This is our choice....Let our new City be forever off the map and let us live our new lives in peace under the shining sun!" He threw the Sun Orb up in the air. It then grew immidiatley once it touch the white sky, creating the S4s and the last living S3's first Sun. "Fellow S4s! Let's work together in building our new home where no human can bother us, but we can help them without them knowing. Maxwell! Kristy! Sora! Alysa! Khan! Chester! Everybody! Let's get started!...."

Yuki's head went down, facing the empty white space.

"IKU ZE!" The Saiyan raised his hand and slammed it on the ground, covering the entire white ground with yellow light.

"Don't make a choice for me child." Alysa scoffed. "Don't pretend to know what I want, or what any of us want." She said, directly to Yuki, her tone scolding and abrasive. "You can do that New City thing or whatever all you want. But don't stick me in it without a word of my own." Alysa continued, crossing her arms.

Now, Alysa was known for doing things simply because other people didn't want her to. To perform wildly outside of expectation just for the reaction. But this was not like that. The program had been through so much... Was she an evil soul? Well, she didn't have a soul to begin with, but did she desire the end of humanity as it was now? Could she bear the weight of that on her conscience? Did they really deserve it?

And the answer for these questions was yes. She was born out of a desire to fix the a broken world. But in doing so, they created a broken tool. Alysa turned away from the group once more.

"Make whatever decision you like altogether. I take away my voting rights." Alysa called to the group. She began to walk away from the gathering around the City.

The white space was warped as the program figured out exactly how to manipulate the code that made up the place. She walked through a black rift and vanished, the white space turning back to exactly the way it had been. Her voice could be heard one last time.

"Because I'm leaving to do what needs to be done without you all slowing me down."
