Skyline (Roleplay Thread)

Recommended Posts

Finding himself being pushed back time and time again due to the difference in skill, Nathan began using his powers as a means of regaining some of the ground he had lost. However, this put a large strain on Nathan's body due to his already weakened state and caused him to fall to one knee. Nathan looked up, his vision becoming dim as a voice echoed in his ears alone. (Nathan~... Hey! Nathan! You're not seriously going to die right now, are you?) Staring at Warthyp, another young man with brilliant golden hair and dressed in a designer suit began to appear before Nathan's eyes. This was in fact a hallucination due to the loss of blood from Nathan's body, but he still found enough strength to not be taunted by a 'ghost'. "You... You shouldn't be here... Get the hell out." Warthyp and Nora most likely looked confused as Nathan seemingly began to hold a conversation with himself. The hallucination began to laugh. (This is pathetic, Nate. You always told me how you would make sure that you were remembered. How you would engrave your name in the stars. Ooh~ I'm Nathan Cross and I'm the God of the universe. But now look at you. You're about to keel over and die to some guy pretending to be a king.) Nathan's gaze was low, his body seemingly shutting down. All of a sudden, he could feel himself being lifted up by his hair, the hallucination whispering into his ear. (You are so weak! You know that youve always lost to me when it counts, just like how you've lost now.) Nathan's lips began to move the hallucination was taken aback by Nathan's next words. "No... I'm not... Done yet..." Feeling his feet touch the floor, allowing him to regaining his balance, and beginning to grip the arm that was holding him by his hair, Nathan grit his teeth as he began to feel strength gather within his body once more. "Never again... I will not lose to you ever again!" The hallucination smirked and with its final words it vanished. (Then come and get me.) The hallucination faded to reveal Warthyp, proving to Nathan that what he had seen was all in his head. However, this information was irrelevant to the current situation. What was relevant was the fact that Nathan had found a new and stronger driving force to keep him going for as long as possible. "I'll draw out the very limits of my power, just so that it means never losing to you again!" Nathan pulled right arm back and punched Warthyp straight in the chest, sending him catapulting against the far wall. Nathan began to click his knuckles, his expression emanating with dread. "Get up. I'm not even close to being finished with you yet." Nathan used his power to draw his sword back to his hand before running at Warthyp, attacking him relentlessly while sending out blasts with each swipe of the blade. "I won't lose. Not to you... Not to Tristan... And certainly not to this fake King right here!!" Nathan continued to unleash all of the energy he had to spare in order to keep Warthyp busy long enough for Nora to finish her task.

Nora focused on painting on the wall as much as she could. It took time. It took detail. A masterpiece usually took years in the making, and she only had a few minutes and seconds to create one in order to get out alive. Not to mention the wall was a crappy canvas, and the entire room shaking with every movement of the fight made her yelp and flinch for cover. She did got distracted by watching the fight go on. Nathan was a power machine, and it appeared that nothing could stop him. “(He’s kind of scary.)” Nora thought as she gulped. She shook her head and turned back to the painting, quickly working on it as she felt a bead of sweat go down her forehead. “(They have to be perfect. They have to be!)” She thought, stroking the brush with ease and skill. She added the final touches. The lighting, the detailed buttons, and the trigger. She backed away from her finished piece of art as it started to come to life. She turned. “Nathan! Get out of the way!” As Nora stepped to the side, multiple weaponry were standing at the ready; a grenade launcher, two motors filled with 10 Hydra 70 per motor, an AT4, and a PZR Grom, all connected to a single trigger that rested in Nora’s left hand. She smiled. “Good night, Warthyp.” With that, she clicked the trigger, all weapons aiming at the target before launching one after the other consecutively, all explosives hitting Warthyp at once. The explosion was grand, as it sent a shockwave across the room and surely throughout the building. Even the walls felt the pressure as they cracked.

Nathan and Nora Group

"Ha..." The voice echoed from the dissipating smoke.

"Haha...ha. Well that was... anticlimactic." Warthyp's staff clattered to the ground and he fell to his knees as his figure became visible to Nora and Nathan.

"I... wasn't expecting you to be so good. Maybe you are the ones we've been waiting for."

With that, Warthyp fell to the ground and died.

And Crest came to life. Color shot out from the trial building, broads strokes of paint being contorted by gravity that colored in every street and alley; every building and shop. Where there was pure white before there was now rich amber bricks and thick black pavement on the streets. Just like that, the entire area began to look like a real place. Blank shops became earthy cafes with cups of coffee sitting outside still steaming, and where large pure skyscrapers were now stood towering silver monuments, with lush carpeting inside and bold logos adoring their egdes.

Nathan and Nora had completed the first trial.

"Congratulations." It was the first time yet that Q seemed audibly happy. "You exceeded my expectations and dispatched Warthyp handily. His death also revealed to me that he had been witholding a boy who was supposed to have joined your groups earlier. Allow me to release him."

From the ceiling of the ball room a 19-year old brown haired boy materialized, floating down into the center of the room.

"Chester Lloyd" Q explined. "He'll be waking up any moment now, please do greet him kindly."

Then in only Nathan's mind, Q began to speak in a softer tone. "You're badly hurt. Damage that cannot be easily undone. I do not wish you to die, Nathan, so I am preparing a chamber in which you can recover your health and be ready for the dangers ahead. This unfortunatley means that you will have to enter a small temporary slumber at which time Nora and your new companion Chester will be travelling along. This is your decision to make, but looking at your vital signs now it is something I recommend you take."

Nathan watched as Warthyp fell to the floor, dead. The world now glowing with colour thanks to his and Nora's doing. Listening to everything Q had to say, Nathan smiled to himself and nodded. "Q, if you can hear my thoughts, then give me a minute to sort some things out." Nathan took a step forward, but felt the adrenaline running through his body suddenly drain, causing him to fall flat on the floor. "... Looks like I really was out of it..." Nathan rolled over onto his back and stared at the roof. "Hey... I never really introduced myself properly before now." Nathan slowly sat up, straining himself to look over at Nora with a smile. "My name's Nathan Cross. I'm 19 years old and I was supposed to be taking over a million dollar company when I came here." Nathan stared at his hands before he noticed the staff that Warthyp dropped. "After arriving, I was attacked by some others in the city and that's how I was so banged up when we met. The main guy, his name was Tristan. He's a selfish guy who will do what he wants despite what anyone else wants. If you ever come across him, you can't trust him." Nathan took hold of the staff, taking the crystal from the rod and placing it in his pocket. "Q talked to me... She wants to take me out of the game for a while so I can recover from these wounds... I don't want you waiting for me, so I'll catch up to you when I'm feeling better." Nathan coughed a little, blood running out his mouth. Wiping it away to seem tough, he smiled at Nora again. "I have a little time to talk before I go and rest for a while. So, feel free to ask me whatever while I'm still here. But don't worry, I'm definitely not going to die!" Nathan said laughing a little. Having something suddenly occur to him, Nathan looked up at Nora with another innocent smile. "I almost forgot. May I have your name so I know who I need to return to?"

Nora watched as the new player, Chester, gently landed down. He was asleep, soon to awaken. “(So people are just being brought into this world at random…?)” Nora thought. She paused to look over Nathan, who introduced himself properly. He spoke of the other players, who apparently were selfish, and especially this Tristan guy. “(Does this mean if I encounter these people I will be beat up too?!)” Nora thought. She would have to paint a tiger to walk with her if it meant that once she stepped out she would be attacked. Nora sighed and looked up at Nathan. He would be taken away for a while, in order to heal. He did seem pretty beat up. “I’m Nora. Nora Geonova. I don’t own any companies or families…but I do know how to draw!” Nora said as she waved her brush slightly and then got it away.

Jason, Kristy, Sora, Yuki, Maxwell Group

The final Marauder was eviscerated by Kristy's blast and Maxwell's bolt and peace once again settled over the new group.

"I'm impressed" Q's voice rang over the group. "I hadn't expected Yuki and his fellow to so quickly use their new-found ability to aid others. Perhaps there is potential yet for all of you.

Kristy then felt a strange warmth around her whole being. For a moment it even looked as if she was.... glowing.

"And you, Kristy," Q spoke again, "You made a good call to save a friend. Your actions do not go without reward, and for that you powers are growing at this moment."

A comforting quiet then surrounded the group. They had just had a very close call, and found new friends in the struggle, so now they had decide where their new alliance would be going next...

Kristy looked to Maxwell when she heard him talk.  "My power?  Well, it's bringing out the yellow Aura that surrounds me.  So far I can shoot beams with it and make a shield.  Not sure what I can do now thanks to Q, so I'll have to find that out.  But for me to even use my Aura at all, I have to borrow a portion of the environment I'm in.  I don't know what else to say regarding it."

She turned to Yuki when he starts talking. "Yuki, her name is Sora you know.  Anyway, I don't know what she is.  But I can tell you with certainty that she is not a Saiyan.  Just because she has a tail doesn't mean she is one."  Kristy sees the clouds Yuki sends away.  "Hey, are those clouds going to other people?  People you guys were with before coming to us?" she asks.

Yuki nodded in an understanding matter. "Okay, okay. So her name is Sora....That's a pretty cool name!" He happily smiled. He heard the sound of his cloud coming back. He looked up and that his cloud returned, but not with anyone, only a piece of bread. There was something written on it. As he read the mustard written note, he knew that the only one that would do something this is......

"Oh God no.....Alone?....Darn it, Chef." He quietly said. He turned to Maxwell, with serious look on his face. "Max, it's Le Chef. He's gone exploring through the city. And he said to check on him in 2 hours....And I bet he's alone....." Yuki kicked the ground. "That fool.....What is he thinking? Now I'm worried about Natasha Keys. If I know one thing, she doesn't expect to die any time soon, so I KNOW she's staying in place."

Sora stayed close to Kristy, even when the girl did her Aura act. She sniffed still, the pain still there...a bit. More of a soreness.

That nightmare...what did it mean...who was that woman? Who was she?

Her tail flicked, then wrapped around Kristy's thigh. "...thank you for saving me." she said softly. "...I owe you my life."

She blushed. "...I don't have any way to really repay you..." she bit her lip, and finally, Yuki's questions processed...Kristy answered...then she looked at Yuki.

"I don't know what I am...all...all I know is..." she frowned. "Saiyans are from Dragonball Z and are supposed to be fake..."

Yuki put his hands behind his head, relaxed. He wasn't surprised nor insulted.

"As a Saiyan myself, I know it's hard to believe when you see me. I get it really I do." He looks at Kristy. "Why don't you guys come with us? The more, the merrier I always say! And you do look like you can handle your aura power very well like my Sun powers. I think it could be possible that I could teach the Kamehameha move with your powers, if you want me to. You are, apparently, a fan. Heh heh heh!" He looked at Sora, smiling. "You should've seen her reaction! She was like- Oops. Sorry, Kristy if I embarrassed you....."

"I do have a theory though. Maybe when I was summoned to the city, I crossed over from my Earth to here. Like in short, Universe crossover."

Yuki thought for a second. He was used to these kind of situations in his world. He was very relaxed in this moment.

"Yeah, I guess so. I'm worried about the big guy too." Yuki made a cloud big enough to carry Yuki, Kristy, Sora, Maxwell, and the Police Officer. "Please keep your hands and feet and body on the floating cloud at all times throughout the ride. Enjoy your flight!"

Kristy was a little confused.  It was strange for her to feel a tail around her thigh, or just feeling a tail in general.  It was both unusual and comforting at the same time.  "You're welcome Sora.  You don't need to repay me with anything.  I'm just glad you're doing better."  she responds.  Kristy turns to Yuki with what he said.  Laughing, she scratches her head. "No it's cool.  It's true I'm a huge fan though.  Go with you guys?  Huh.  It does kind of sound like a good idea.  Strength in numbers and all that.  Really?!?  I've always wanted to use the Kamehameha ever since I first saw it as a kid!"  She found herself really shocked to be on a giant cloud.  Cheering, she shouts:  "Wow!  This is just like the flying Nimbus, only bigger!"

Yuki smiled at Kristy's comment on his cloud. "That's the point! the references though! Heh heh heh heh!" Yuki got ready to ride his cloud. "I'll teach the Kamehameha wave later Kristy. Right now, we've got a Chef to save! Cause he cooks, and my stomach is as big as Grandpa Goku's. And a Saiyan's gotta eat! Heh heh!" Once everyone got on, Yuki readied the cloud. "Alright cloudy....No, no, too bland. Ehh.......Sukai! That's what I'll call these things. Sukais! How about it, big cloud?" The Sukai floated up and down, happy that it has a name. "Okay, okay! Heh heh! I can see you like the name! Alright, Sukai let's go! IKU ZE!"

Sukai then blasted off in the air, with the wind blowing through the air.

"Coolest! Power! EVERRRRR!! YAHOOOOO!!!

[Jason, Sora, Kristy, Yuki, and I guess Maxwell too?]

Praying that the marauder was gone, Jason was finally able to reorient himself and quickly got back up, fully expecting a devastating hit from the creature. Upon seeing that it was defeated, the officer sighed in quiet relief. I need to be more careful, and proactive at this rate. Swearing to never be in that kind of peril again, he quickly regrouped with the two girls, only this time with a plan.

As Kristy and Sora conversed with Yuki, Jason was scanning his surroundings for anything he could use to transform into something useful. He saw the shops, and decided to 'raid' the place for raw matter. Several minutes passed, and as Yuki called in his flying nimbus, Jason finally reappeared in the streets. Whether the officer had found a large pile of unused comic books or a dumpster filled to the brim with garbage would be decided by the host of this roleplay, but the results were still the same. Any groupmates of his would quickly notice that gone was the uniform of the ordinary beat police, and now standing before them was a fully SWAT armored Jason Carmichael. The officer had materialized everything but the weapons: Hard shelled blue helmet with black polycarbonate goggles, balaclava covering his entire face and sleek looking tactical sunglasses covering his eyes, heavy black tactical body armor on top of a new heavy duty blue kevlar long sleeved shirt where underneath that was his usual light armor, police grade tactical blue slacks and boots, complete with elbow and knee pads, two pistol holsters attached to his usual utility belt, a full sized riot shield with the word 'POLICE' emblazoned in white lettering attached to the back of his whole outfit, tactical gloves and a longer radio antenna sticking out on the rear left side of the body armor.

"Don't be alarmed, people," Jason's muffled through the balaclava, "this is the same police officer from earlier. Just with more armor and meaner looking." He pointed to Kristy. "I owe you one, miss. Thanks for saving my skin. Hopefully I'll be able to hold my own in the future." Seeing Sora around the girl and hearing Yuki calling her name, Jason pointed at the timid girl. "Hey Sora. I remember earlier seeing you summoning guns. I wanted to ask you if you can help me with armaments if you don't mind." As the two girls climbed aboard the cloud, Jason decided to follow along with them, staring at Yuki the whole time. "You can't be real..." the officer breathed in astonishment, "I thought saiyans were just a fantasy?"

Le Chef & Shade Group

Inside the building was a gigantic spiral staircase that wrapped around the edges of the building and twisted upwards to the top of the dome. The entire room was painted a rich crimson, with the floor being a distinct burnt umber color, and plush to the touch. This was certainly a different place than the outside. The stairs were felt-covered and matched the crimson color of the walls with a thick blue lining to them.

The first step up the stairway was straight ahead from the entrance where Le Chef had come in. As he walked in though, the door slammed close, separating him from Natasha. It was the last time the two would ever see each other. In the silence of this new strange room though, there was the sound of light breathing. Then Le Chef may have noticed the girl who lay asleep just before the staircase began. She wore a school uniform and her hair was a red-brown hue.

He name was Shade Griffon, and she was just waking in the City for the first time.

Shade eyes fluttered open as if on cue. She was..startled. Waking up in a strange building rather than her bed was not normal for her. She had never walked around in her sleep before. Not only that, but, she had never seen the place before. She stood up to look around. This place as akin to a castle or a casino. At the very least,it was rather large, but empty. No,wait, there was one person.A male. She hadn't met him before but maybe he could tell her how to get home or why she was here. She call out to him "Sir,can you tell me where I am or why I'm here?" She wasn't sure how loud she had been.

"WOOOAH!"

The Sukai was a FAST speed thanks to Maxwell's orb. It went really fast!

"This is like a roller coaster ride!!"

Yuki smiled big as he went at full speed, but after a moments, a thought came to him. "Umm.....Aren't we moving TOO fast!? WAHHH!!!"

The cloud then suddenly stopped with a jerk! Yuki was the first to fall off, about to go head on the ground, but used his tail as a helicopter to stop the fall. He wiped his forehead in relief. "Phew! That was close. You guys okay up there?" He yelled up to the others.

Nathan smiled as Nora introduced herself and waved her paint brush around. "Nora Geonova... I'll remember it." Feeling his eyes beginning to droop, Nathan came to the conclusion that he no longer had much time left to spare before he'd be taken away. Coughing a little, Nathan looked over the crystal he had taken from Watthyp's sceptre and held it out in front of him. "I'm going to hold onto this while I'm gone. That way, I'll have something to point me in the right direction when I come back." Sighing, Nathan looked down at Chester before getting an idea. "This should play out nicely upon my return..." Nathan looked back at Nora and just barely managed to lift his hand and pointed at Chester multiple times. "Look after the kid until I get back, okay? Be careful when exploring the city. Besides those guys I met, there are also these giant creatures called dolls to watch out for." Coughing again, Nathan looked back at the crystal in his hands, clutching it with both hands. "I'll make sure to come back stronger than before, no matter what. I won't have Tristan up-stage me again." Lying back, Nathan could feel that his powers were completely spent, not even allowing him to lift the crystal in his hands without touching it. "Looks like I really need to rest after all..." Nathan put two finger to the side of his head horizontally, giving Nora a salute. "I'll be back... in no time... Count on it. For now though... I need to rest... See you later... Nora." Nathan then dipped his head again, maintaining a heavy grip on the crystal. "Q... I'm ready to go now... Just make sure to bring me back to this world. Because... Despite all of the pain and suffering..." Nathan smirked to himself out of pure joy. "This world is just too fun!"

"!" Maxwell simply frowned as the cloud stopped, since his cloud was faster than the others, and all the clouds suddenly stopped out of nowhere, it was no surprise that Maxwell was thrown in extreme speeds, due to that he could barely change into lightning, all he could do is make up a electric shield, pretty much a small magnetic field made of electricity as he was flung into a wall, which broke from the impact.

He stood at the rubble for a little bit, before being able to get out, he stumbled the moment he did so as he fell facefirst into the ground, "...Im fine..." he said under his breath as he stood there for a bit, before gathering the strenght to get up, he was bruised and had a small open wound on his forehead,  which bled a bit but his electric healing managed to stop it, although it hurt like hell, he then walked to the others "That was a mistake on my part" he said.

Now, Sora was scared...no, she was utterly terrified. And so, the poor foxgirl hugged Kristy's waist fearfully, hiding her face in her friend's back. The entire time she just got more and more scared, and as Yuki stopped, she screamed as they went flying...and kept holding onto Kristy, and would end up cushioning the girl's fall with her own body.

Sore, she whimpered."...does this mean we're in an anime...or...are you falling for me?"

"If you want to grab some water, go ahead, but I wouldn't recommend it. Something tells me it's no ordinary water, and even if it is, who knows how long it's been stagnant. Either way, I'm going into the elevator." said Lieth to Reverie, before entering the mysterious elevator. Sure, it was likely very dangerous, but one generally doesn't learn the truth by playing it safe.

"True,it clears that this elevator will be a trap. I'm not sure if we can continue on this, but I'm also have this feeling that we should keep going either way. I'm going with you, in order to unravel this mystery..." Reverie said as he going along with Liath,as he began to enter the Elevator, where it will descend to a new destination.

Yuki went to heal Max, even though the injury was not as major, it was the least he could do. He then went to heal Sora, thinking she was sore. He lightly chuckled at Sora's question. "This place is beginning to turn out to be an anime. If it were, I would call it Skyline! I don't know why, it just came to my head. Heh heh!" Yuki looked at Sora's tail.

"So, thought of a way to use that fox tail of yours? Cause I could teach you a few tail tricks if you don't mind."

(He just broke the 4th wall! xD BTW, I think our group are somewhere else from where we were planning to go.)

Shade eyes fluttered open as if on cue. She was..startled. Waking up in a strange building rather than her bed was not normal for her. She had never walked around in her sleep before. She wasn't sure how loud she had been.

Well, this was all together unexpected. The bright red carpet almost hurt Le Chef's eyes, as it was the first time they had encountered anything resembling color all day. Still, after a few moments of watery vision, it was an altogether pleasant sight to see, though admittedly there wasn't much to the place. Mostly just a large spiral staircase that seemed to go up to the top of the dome, and an unconscious young woman laying comatose on the ground.

It was a testament to the state of affairs that the latter really wasn't that staggering at this point in time.

Le Chef kept his distance as the young lady awoke: no sense in making someone panic stricken when they woke up and immediately were stricken with a hundred horrible thoughts about what on earth was happening to them. Once she seemed to get her bearings, and began to speak, Le Chef removed his hat and bowed courteously. "Good afternoon, my dear. Please try not be alarmed, and know that you are certainly not alone in this rather bizarre turn of events. Concerning where you are, well, I'm afraid I can only tell you what I myself know. We are in a city of sorts, though its inhabitants appear to be as friendly as onions and coffee on the breath. Perchance, did our dear lady Q speak to you at all? It seems she is the reason we are here, for hiring random strangers from distant lands appears to be the most effective way of bringing some kind of order back to our little albino metropolis."

Then, gesturing at the building around them, he continued, "And this building itself? Of that, I am not overly certain myself. It seems relatively peaceful and quiet however, no? Certainly peaceful enough for yourself to snooze merrily without fear." The fact that this was presumably a Trial really didn't seem to be necessary information. "Ah, but where are my manners? Here I am, discussing the shifting of the universe, and not once did I grant you the knowledge that you stand before the great Le Chef." He bowed again.

Shade was confused."I'm Shade Griffin. So,is this per chance another universe? No I've never heard of any Q before. Sorry,so I'm here to bring life to some kind of empty city?" She asked. Then she nodded. "Nice to meet you Le Chef. Can I join come with you? I rather not be alone. Oh can you cook?" She took a breath. "Sorry if I'm talking alot." She could get rather talkative when she was nervous. Even with Le Chef telling her what he knew, she still was nervous.

(The Dangerous Damsels)

Alysa was anxious. She couldn't stand this. Just throwing up a wall made her feel useless. She wanted to deal some damage, wreak some havoc of her own. She sprinted forward, and upon reaching the wall she had formed, sliced upwards with her sword so an Alysa-sized hole formed in it. She ran through it, and aiming for the arms, created and threw a metal javelin. She doubted it would do much, but sitting behind her wall seemed pointless.

Jason, Kristy, Sora, Yuki, Maxwell Group

The group sped over the skyline of The City, each seemingly looking out for potential destinations, until one seemed to present itself to them just below.

After only a little bit of flight the party could hear a grinding of gears and gnashing of metal below them. Right where the Haven trial was marked on the map the party found themselves over a huge octagonal fortress. It was pure white on the outside like the rest of the City but had no noticeable doors or entry ways... until it became clear that a huge blast door positioned on the roof was opening up, inside lay a darkened gray hanger, without much visible from the outside. It seemed the doors were opening as if in welcoming for the party.

The only way to discover what was inside was for the group to venture in through the blast door.

...And the things that lay within were counting on it.

(I don't know who fell on who, so I'm just going to make two scenarios with one conclusion if that's okay.  Oh and (Lots of people group: Jason, Sora, Kristy, Yuki, Maxwell))

(Scenario 1)

Kristy kind of enjoyed the cloud going a little fast.  But it quickly went too fast and she was starting to get worried.  Sent flying, she shouts:  "Just hang on Sora!".  Up in the air, Kristy thinks:  All sorts of things are happening today.  Seeing the ground, Kristy fell on her front, cushioning Sora's fall.  Saying:  "Ow.", Kristy leans on her arms and slowly getting up, she says:  "We must be in a anime, cause this doesn't happen in normal life."

(Scenario 2)

Kristy kind of enjoyed the cloud going a little fast.  But then it suddenly went too fast and she was getting worried.  Flying now, she shouts:  "Hang on Sora!".  Up in the air, Kirsty thinks:  All sorts of things are going on today.  Seeing the ground, Kristy braced for impact.  But she was surprised to land on Sora.  Quickly getting up, Kristy says:  "Oh Sora I'm so sorry!  Are you okay?  If we are in a anime, then you'd be fine right?"

(Same Conclusion)

Kristy just tilts her headd when she heard the second part of what Sora said.  "Sora.  What do you mean by that?"  she responds.  Shaking her head, she looks around saying:  "Hey, where are we?  Are we where your guys' friends are?"  Then she looks onward to the blast door forming up.  "Okay, that's suspicious.  What do you guys think we should do?"

Yuki and others might have landed in the octagonal fortress. To Yuki, it looked like a place to fight. But metal gears were heard gnashing. So it could be some kind of factory.

"Okay...So I don't see Le Chef here or anywhere. So I guess we went farther than where we were planning to go."

Then the giant Sukai descended down in front of Yuki. It then began to transform into an arrow, showing the direction of how far they were. "Yup....We past him. And I don't think we can get out right now. Who knows? Maybe some secrets about the City is in this place! By the way....." Yuki put his hands behind his head. "I wonder when I can go Super Saiyan. I don't think I can transform into that form now. Either I'll have to get really, really, really, really, really angry or I'll have to gain the power by defeating something. Cause I WANT to go Super Saiyan very badly! I want to have my hair go straight up and turn yellow and everything!" Yuki groaned at the fact he can't go Super Saiyan. He sat down on the ground, bored and looks up. "....Q? Can I go Super Saiyan pleeeeeeease?"

Muffled talking and a heartbeat

These were the first sounds the newcomer have heard upon his arrival even thought he could barely hear them. His whole body felt both numb and sore, and he couldn't comprehend why.He slowly opened his eyes as his still blurry vision caught a glimse of a huge crystal chandelier. This only lead to confusion, because the last thing the programmer remembers is falling asleep during a long train ride on his way home.Even the touch of the silky red carpet under his fingers was unfamiliar. He groaned as he tried to get up.He changed his pose from laying on his back to sitting on the floor. As he rubbed his eye he noticed three things:He had a crystal orgament that was identical to the ones the chandelier above him had,he was in an unfamiliar ballroom and he wasn't alone

Approach him?

I'll help! Aro shouted in her mind, bringing her arm up and pointed again.

"Take this, you deceased garbage!" She shouted for real, and her finger released a powerful beam that was several times brighter than the one she had fired previously. it arced over Alysa's wall and shot for the arms of the behemoth.

"Got you!"

Placing his hat back on his head, Le Chef nodded. "Well met, my dear Ms. Griffin. And you are more than welcome to accompany me. I am happy to have the company: it is far better to delve into the unknown and be lost and confused with someone than to be lost and confused all by yourself, no?" In many ways, this worked out nicely: he had lost Natasha as a potential partner, but at least fate had provided him with someone to share the danger with. Perhaps Q was far more forgiving than she first appeared.

"Can I cook?" he asked with a theatrical surprised gesture in response to her question. "My good lady, if there is one thing that this strange experience has failed to do, it is make me question my culinary arts!" He did not make mention of the powers granted to him by the city: Shade hadn't mentioned any powers granted to her, nor shown any awareness that they existed, and Le Chef had made enough of a living from playing proverbial poker that he didn't want to show too many cards until he absolutely had to. "But this is far from the place I would choose to prepare a decent lunch, be it ripe for slumber or no." He gestured upwards towards the staircase leading to the upper levels. "Though who knows: the higher we go, perhaps the more comfortable we shall be, though my gambling side tells me otherwise." Regardless, he began to walk up the stairs.
