Zion moved closer to Roen.

"Somethings coming."

 

The sky was filled. Winged Knights sith swords gleaming covered rhe sky. At the vanguard was Soren, his golden trim putting him at a standout among the silver warriors. He himself carried among gilded blade, gifted by the King.

"Alicia. You may handicap our foes among your liesure. We will engage at will once you have done so."

As the Sudon army approached the Fenikkusu they stood still for a few minutes, about 100meters away from the walls, as both the fenikkusu nor the sudon were attacking, it was a stand-off where one side was ready to attack and one was ready to defend.

 

Dex was still on top of the tower overlooking everything "Damn" he grunted as he started descending the tower as fast as he could in order to help the defense of the walls.

 

Alicia smiled at Soren's statement as she held her hand forwards pointing at the Fenikkusu as he opened her palm as a bright green light appeared on her hand,, and soon enough four big spheres of pure anti magic power appeare above her and whoever was near her, "tch" she grunted a bit from the strain an anti magic this big would cause, but she had trained or else it would be much worse, as the four spherers gained enough power she swinged her arm forwards as they launched overhead and into the Fenikkusu walls.

once thei hit a massive explosion was heard, however it didn't damage anyone nor did it damage the structure but it was quick to notice that any magic and any magic powered item was disabled as the spheres deactivated the surrounding magic on impact and they shouldn't be coming back for at least a few good minutes, "Now Soren" she told him as this was the perfect time to strike.

 

"What the" Dex said as he reached the walls, when he noticed that the walls magical barriers were disabled and any magic in the vicinity too, "Crap" he cursed as he entered a trance stage as he readied himself to assist in defending the wall from the aster knights.

The Aster Knights descended like falcons on their prey. The magic less forces found themselves a bit scattered, but Soren and his elite bypassed them and headed for the Tribe palace.

"Capture the heir to the Fennikusu alive. Everyone else must die." He ordered. "Remember your training! And above all, honor above glory"

"Yes, my lord!"

 

Tucking wings in, Soren's elite shock troopers took the forefront. Dropping from the sky, his Aster Knights split - Soren's Paladins of Light adjusted their trajectoy, heading for the sleeping quarters of Roen and his ilk. The shock troopers, or the Palladium Knights, the biggest tanks of the entire Asters, crashed into the Fennikusu guards like a roaring tsunami of steel and blood.

 

The vanguard engaged, and Soren and lived four others slipped through the throng into the main palace.

"Stay together. Find Roen, capture him. We end this battle before it truly begins, and we can minimize the blood that steelhall soak this land for generations."

"Yes, my lord!"

 

Zion grabbed Roen, tugging him back. "My magic! It's shorted." She steelhallummoned a ball of light. It fizzled. "We have to eun. This is too coordinated roen, and I have to protect you."

Dex notice the aster knights forces descending at lightning speeds "Oh no you don't" before they could head for their target, two aster knights who were following who seemed to be their commander got hit by  two supersonic slashes which knocked them off balance and sent them flying to the walls and the ground, crashing down. Dex kept on attacking as many aster knights as he could, he wasn't about to let these bastards through and destroy everything.

 

 

Alicia looked from where she was which was still a fair distance away from the tribe's walls "hm..." she said picking up a binocular from one of the soldiers, she saw a swordsman taking out a few aster knights by himself with what seemed to be magic, but it wasn't "Seems like someone isn't being affected by the anti magic, either that or he has a technique which doesn't need magic..." she said with an annoyied tone.

Roen, in bursts of sparks, dashed to each soldier tried to fend them off. He tried to use magic, but it fizzed out as well. When Zion suggested running, he thought for a second...

"Fine! Let's..."

A sharp cry came from the left. Then, a yell from the right. Roen screamed "Narinne! Tiz!" All around him, his family began to fall, right before his eyes. His eyes turned to a fiery red, enraged at the very sight of his comrades falling.

"I can't leave now, Zion. I've gotta save 'em."

And with that, he rushed forth. Slashed, tackled, and pounded by the enemy, he tore through the soldiers. Slashing and throwing them all over the place, it seemed like his pain was temporarily nulled. Finally, after rushing, he came to the bloody body that cried for help.

In a gasp of his last breath, a boy desperately clung to Roen's face. He croaked "For us.... You're gonna... Live..."

The body slumped to the ground. Clutching his head in hands, Roen stared at the cold body. His eyes lost all color for a moment... And he stayed in a trance.

Soren faced resistance. The family refused to surrender, and fought to the last breath. How...noble. but a waste.

Such a waste.

As a girl charged, he struck her down. She struggled for her blade, but Soren kicked it away.

"Aldridge! Restrai-" he was pulled away by a Knight, who brought his blade down. The girl's head rolled, her hands empty.

Soren turned, enraged. "She was unarmed!"

"She was -"

"Hurt you monster. Aldridge, place this man under court marshal upon return."

 

He turned...and crossed blades with a winged girl.

"The infamous Angel of Light...she is mine!" He bellowed, his mighty broadsword pushing her away with ease. "Time to face the Winged Paladin, my lady."

 

Zion had tried to pull Roen, but he refused to budge. Trance.

So she threw herself at Soren, crossing blades.

"The Demon of Stendeval. You are no Paladin. No, your other lovely title of Dreadknight of Sudon fits you."

"Cute. You will make a fine gift to the Prince, Guardian."

They crossed blades again, as Zion bought Roen was in trance.

Trying to hold off the force by himself was foolish, Dex had no chance in protecting the walls,specially now that the Sudon army had already made it inside, Dex soon left and went to see if he could find Roen and Zion as well, everything seemed hopeless as of now.

 

He descended  into the chaos below the walls as he ran down the streets, slashing at any Sudon soldier that got in his way, as he had to watch out for arrows fire and the flying kights above.

 

He soon found Roen and Zion, Zion who looked was clashing against who seemed to be the commander of the Aster knights, "Roen!,Zion!" He shouted as he sent a sonic slash towards Soren.

 

 

 

Alicia who was now on the inside, slashing at any Fenikkusu and making sure their magic was disabled, she was quite bored, she thought the fenikkusu were tougher even without magic, "The prince was right, this proved too easy". she said with a bored tone.

Roen's blank stare, devoid of all response, was plastered to his face…

His eyes shifted. The color dropped in... Like blood. A rain of ruby red.

Roen weakly rose. And for a second watched the confrontation between Dex and Soren. He didn't know why - his mind screamed for him to move but his body resisted.

 

Kill him… Kill him…

Kill him… Kill him…

 

Clenching his teeth, the boy's mind veered off of sanity.

He just walked toward Dex and Soren's battle speechless. As if he were blind... Again.

As Dex advanced, Knights threw them selves in the way...but a few slashes got through. Smashing into Soren, he was off balance. An opening made, Zion slid under him and swung...but her sword skidded off his armor as he spun around. A low sweep made her jump, but he punched her full in the face.

Zion went down.

 

Aster Knights began swarming Dex, covering rheir leader...and two charged for Roen, swords sheathed.

"Surrender, Roen, and you will be unharmed!" One shouted.

"Tch" Dex grunted in annoyiance as the knights came to Soren's rescue, soon beginning to swarm him as he saw Soren punch Zion out cold "No!" Dex shouted with anger.

 

As the knights swarmed him he deflected, blocked and dodged as many slashes as he could, and counterattacked when he could, but he was surrounded so he had little chance of attacking, quickly dodging an Aster knight's slash he jumped back as he delivered a swift flurry of slashes at the same spot on the knight's armor cracking it and allowing another slash to go through and cut him deeply in his chest.

 

He tried to take the opportunity to see if he could rush in, but more Paladins just came in, these guys were like bees, much to his annoyiance and anger, he took a quick look on his surroundings, he was surrounded yes, but it didn't mean he had no means of escape, he dodged one last slash from a knight as he retaliated with another combo of slashes, killing the knight.

 

he couldn't do anything surrounded like this, this was a bad situation indeed.

Roen slowly looked upwards. He disrupted the very particles around him. As if a wisp, he pounded and slashed the troops around one by one, nearly obliterating the forces, then reappeared, right in the face of Soren.

Soren punches the boy in the face, not even perturbed. Her was a bit pissy - Alicia didn't null all the magic there was here. How troublesome. It also meant the death of twenty of his best Knights - a toll the Asters had not felt since their founding. Twenty Paladins of Light...his vest troops.

He just punched that brat with every ounce of power he had.

 

He then took a step back and threw his arm out art full force, clotheslining Dex with such practiced ease.

"Katara?" Zylon cried franctically looking about the room. She reappeared approximately five seconds later with a fresh apple in her hand. "Apparently I can teleport  now," she said nonchalantly. Looking at Zylon she commanded, "Grab my hand." He snatched her hand in a split second and with a pop! they disappeared from the small cabin in the swamp. They appeared on the front lines of what seemed to be a war. All of a sudden a barrage of arrows rained down on the two.

"Interesting" Alicia said in amusement at what she saw Roen do as she arrive in time to see it, "It seem like his power somehow was unnafected by my anti-magic...I didn't see this coming..."  she said annoyied as she noticed Dex surrounded by knights. "huh" 

 

Dex was out of options other than to try to escape somehow, as the battle was still raging on between the Sudon soldiers and Fenikkusu tribe, it was obviously in Sudon's advantage, Dex backed up against a wall sighed as he kneeled down and threw his sword on the ground, as if giving up and allowing the knights to capture him, the situation was hopeless as it was and fighting on would only make things worse. without magic, without space, without manpower, there was nothing they could do.

Roen tumbled a large amount of meters, blood splattered all over his face. He couldn't feel the pain - he just rushed forward again. His sword emitted an airy aura around it - one that despite its appearance was harder than steel, and resembled what was a heavy broadsword. Swinging it above his head shakily, Roen began to slam the sword down on Soren... But then suddenly the aura broke and Roen lost his grip of the sword which flung out of his hand and after hitting the ground, dematerialized. Roen fell flat on his face a couple meters away from Soren and Dex, and drifted into the void of unconsciousness.

A shield suddenly appears around Katara, protecting her from any stray arrows, but she was so weak from teleporting that the shield just appeared for a split second then disappeared. Arrows rained down on the two, striking Katara on the arm and in the leg. She simply pulled them out, healed herself, then turned to her companion Zylon. Zylon had been struck in a far worse place: his heart. Katara immediately pulled out the arrow and went to healing the hole but the poison from the arrow that had not affected her had already entered his bloodstream. As he began crumbling away in front of her eyes his last words were "I....love....you" and then he blew away as dust in the wind. Katara looked in horror as her best friend of 2 years, whom she had spent all of her time with and knew everything about, simply turned to dust before her eyes. She looked on the castle in anger and looked at all the Sudon soldiers around her. Wings formed on her back and her whole body caught on fire. "Don't just stand there staring" she said to the dumbfounded soldiers. "We must avenge Zylon!" she shouted, flying at top speed towards the castle.

Suddenly, the sound of a multitude of hooves could be heard. And soon accompanying that, was a sight of a Sudonic flag flying over the hill. A cavalry charge, led by the first prince of Sudon himself, Theseus. Astride a glorious white horse, he stood atop the hill. "Charge the Sudons! Only I can win this battle!" he yelled, his horse rearing. Charging down the hill, he and his entire elite guard, hand picked by himself, went down the hill. They attacked the Sudonic forces, completely ignoring the Fennikusu Tribe for now. "Brother?! Where are you?!" yelled out Theseus, as he cut down soldier after soldier in anger. "Would my own flesh and blood dare to run away from a fight?!" he yelled, louder. 

 

As if in answer, Perseus appeared on his own horse. He held a fiery scepter in his hand, and glared at his brother. "Dearest brother! Have you gone mad? Are you killing your own comrades for fun?!" he yelled at Theseus.

 

"I apologize, my brother! I can't allow you the glory that'll come with a victory! Only I can be allowed this glory. I don't like having to do this... but I must!" replied Theseus, charging at Perseus. While this was happening, his forces were attacking the Sudons.

 

(Best possible way to save people.)

Soren landed between the steads, over his shoulder Zion. His men, those that remained, formed a wall between them.

He held his sword up to Theseus, blade soaked with the blood of the tribe.

"First Prince of Sudon. Cease this madness before I execute you for treason."

 

His soldiers locked shields, as Soren took flight, landing before Perseus. The charge would end, either willingly or by Soren punching Perseus and his soldiers beating the shit out of Theseus.

Dex was almost ready to let himself be captured, although something seemed to happen, as he heard some shouting and screams of fighting in the distance and considering most of the knights surrounding him left along with their general, leaving only Alicia and some to look after Roen and Dex.

 

He tried to reach for his sword, but was stopped by a knight who then tried to punch him, however Dex was still in the trance state as he simply moved his head to the side, dodging the punch as he delivered a punch to the knight's neck, which wasn't as protected by armor, he had to admit, even with the armor he wears on his hands, it hurt quite a bit, but it also stunned knight long enough for him to roll to his sword.

 

Grabbing his sword he then delivered a quick and deadly barrage of slashes towards said knight and doing the same to all knights around him, there were four knights at best, he could slash four knights...kinda, breaking the knights's armors with precise strikes and killing them soon after took the attention of Alicia, who was standing over Roen.

 

"So this is the heir of the fenikkusu...impressive display of magic, although it faile-" she was cut short by a sonic slash that missed her by inches, which was a warning slash from Dex as he looked at her...she looked at him with an annoyied expression, "That technique, you're a carther?! Carthers wouldn- no...you're not with them are you?" she asked him, as she noticed the anti magic didn't do anything to his ability to slice the knights.

Perseus' vile smile crept onto his lips. His face turned into a dark, engaging and almost intimidating look. He called out  "My brother, you make a fool of yourself. Thy weapon drawn and charging at me?! How dare your insolence cloud your judgement?" He said this, deflecting the blade of Theseus.

 

"I will be the one and only king... and that will be possible only by taking your life!"

Dex and Alicia kept on fighting at equal footing, Dex dodged Alicia's thrust as he counterattack with a slash of his own but Alicia quickly deflected it with gravity magic, much to Dex's dismay, she had Gravity under he control as well, "You're not getting away, 'Carther'" she said with a smile as she cast a heavy gravity field around them, which didn't affect her but affected Dex as he felt heavier

 

"Grr" He grunted as Alicia began to attack again, this time with a four slash combo which Dex was able to barely block due to the weight from the gravity field on him, as she kicked him in the chest at the end, knocking him down, no wind magic to boost his speed nor any mobility due to the graviational field, he had only one option as he barely got back to his knees, however it seemed that Alicia's anti magic field was weaker now, since she was keeping a graviational one around them.

 

She quickly slashed at him again, but he rolled back dodging it, charging what little wind magic he could into his arm and preparing a slash, since the speed would be boosted the gravity field wouldn't have as much of an effect at his sonic slash, as he delivered a charged sonic slash at Alicia, which she wasn't expecting as she tried to block, but the impact was powerful enough to flung her back, "gah" she grunted as she noticed her anti magic field and gravity field were dispelled by her loss of concentration "damn" she said as Dex charged at her, sword drawn.

Soren turned and slapped Perseus.

"I will gut you both for this!" He roared. "Prince or not, this, Theseus, is treason against your father - he decreed this battle would be Perseus'. And you, Perseus, commit treason for the wishful death of Theseus. So I will give both of you a single chance to lay down your weapons before I arrest and execute you both, on the spot, for treason, as decreed by Sudon." He drew his blade, and all of his Aster Knights drew theirs. The remaining Paladins of Light all surrounded the Princes as the Palladium Knights made a ring.

"Do I make myself clear?"

Perseus snickered slightly. "For if you weren't a knight as strong I'd slash my brother's throat at this very moment. Fine! I know my boundaries, Soren! But now, my brother, to raise his sword to a kin, is an outcast! If he appears again, I will show no…

 

At that moment, Theseus struck Perseus by heart... No, Perseus akin to the slippery tricks of his brother, had merely dodged the blade by centimeters. Dismounting his horse, Perseus did not strike back: for he merely gazed at his brother with eyes that seemed to pierce his armor. Theseus shouted "Have you gone mad?! This talk of killing brothers to claim the throne is beyond you, Perseus! For what come of you to raise your sword to your blood to claim land and sea?!"

With an almost...no, it was lazy. Soren lazy began to beat the living crap out of Theseus.

"One kick, two kick, three kick, and dropkick."

Leaving Theseus in a bloody pulp on the ground to be dragged off by the Aster Knights in am anticlimactic ending to this insanity, Soren bowed to Perseus. "My Lord. I brought with me the elite guard of the Tribal Heir. She is my gift to you, ro celebrate this victory...and a pardon, for thrashing your brother without your blessing."

 

 

((Sorry for like. Just doing that to avoid a long drawn out battle we all know Soren will prevail in because he's awesome.)
