Sora96 17,256 Posted February 19, 2015 Square Enix has confirmed division 4 is working on the new Dissidia Final Fantasy game for Japanese arcades. Division 4 developed Dissidia 012. The team responsible for Dissidia 012 also worked on the original game, although it begun development under the PS2 era structure and thus was in division 1. Tetsuya Nomura will of course be serving as character designer. Ichiro Hazama is expected to produce while Mitsunori Takahashi is expected to be directing, reprising their respective roles from 012. Since the release of 012, division 4 has released Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call, however both were outsourced to indieszero. This new Dissidia might have been in development since 2012. 5 Mio, Mysterious Figure, Hero of Winds and 2 others reacted to this
The Cloaked Schemer 23 Posted February 19, 2015 Only for Japanese arcades? That's rather depressing.
Sora96 17,256 Posted February 19, 2015 Only for Japanese arcades? That's rather depressing. That's not clear yet. There is a very good chance it'll be ported to PS4.
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted February 19, 2015 Not that likely to happen, but still praying to the stars above that they can at least put one or two KH exclusive characters in there, whether for DLC or not. T.T"
catmaster0116 2,676 Posted February 19, 2015 That's not clear yet. There is a very good chance it'll be ported to PS4. I already had this pseudo-discussion with you before Sora96 I think my faith in Square Enix is just about ready to expire...
