Secrets Kept - An Original RP by Sun Wukong (Signups and Discussion)

The Fenikkusu Tribe, a tribe of political power, remained to be the balance of the two nations Riderrek and Sudon, and the only object preventing the two to go to a large scale war. Leaders in the year of XX54 had taken over both nations, with interest in securing their counterpart. Subsequently, they have cleverly hatched plans to eliminate the Fenikkusu tribe, sparking their war.

As the days continue, the tribe is closer to their inevitable downfall, and the world at conflict.

Your character is part of either three powers - a survivor of the resourceful Fenikkusu (or a close ally of it who happens to be in the mix), a disciple of Riderrek, or a knight of Sudon. You can also be a neutral being, such as a traveler or merchant, or even part of one of your own small factions.


Alrighty guys, this here is my first RP. It's actually part of an even bigger story that I plan to create long-term (not necessarily with you guys), so I'm basically testing it out to see what makes the gaming community tick. To kick it off, lets start with rules.

Rules:

• [*]Cursing is allowed... but keep it to less intense words, please. [*]No god-modding. Controlling other people's character is only allowed with their permission. If you did get permission, make sure I know (via chat or PM) [*]Romance is allowed - encouraged even, Just keep it PG-13. [*]This is a fantasy-style RP. Yes, materializing weapons or supernatural powers are permitted and encouraged [*]You are allowed up to two characters. [*]To further induce plot, betrayal and alliance with another power is allowed. [*]There will be calm periods and there will be conflict. Just letting you know beforehand. [*]This kinda goes with god-modding, but I want to stress THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO KILLING OF CHARACTERS WITHOUT CONSENT. Characters can get into conflict (and injury), but if you want to kill off a character, discuss with each other then please tell me (This is preferred when you feel that you no longer would like to participate in the RP.) [*]Betrayal of the powers is allowed (Say you originally started in alliance with Fenikkusu and decide to change over to Sudon) [*]No OP characters [*]If you feel that music will enhance the current post, by all means include it! [*]RP Posts have no minimum limit, but the maximum, seen below, is to give everyone a fair share in the development of the story. I encourage dialogue, which is why there is no minimum limit. What that means is that, if possible, when two people are online together, and their characters have a conversation we can allow more seamless speech instead of trying to fill in our thoughts. This is something interesting that I'm implementing, and I believe it will be much better in situations where there are groups of characters in one place chatting. After posting, you must wait for at least one other person to contribute to post again. If you feel the need to edit, by all means do so.
  

 

"Dust"? "Aura"? "Semblance"?

Aaron was left with a more-than-questionable explanation of how to get through the Emerald Forest. It seems though that there were some "pieces" that he had to collect, that much he knew. Headmaster Ozpin, as he was known as, discerned Aaron with a piercing look. Had he known the secret that the boy had hidden for years? Come to think of it, Aaron left on his application many things blank. He never took lessons from Combat School, unless his training with Crew counted… no, he would've learned of Dust and such. So, then why would they accept his application and invite him anyway? *Sigh*. Being born and raised outside of Vale seemed to make the kingdom more confusing by the second.

The woman next to Ozpin—Glenda Goodwitch?—had began to speak. "I'm sure you've heard rumors of how the teams were to be set up. Allow me to dispel them."
Teams?
"Each of you will be assigned team members, starting today, and this team, comprising of four people, will be with you for the next four years."

"So, we've created a system," Ozpin began. "The first person you make eye-contact with… will be your teammate for the rest of your time here at Beacon"

Crap. Aaron glanced at the others. He'd seen it before, probably, but he noticed people had… strange body parts. Someone, for example, had black cat ears, another had wings (small but noticeable), and yet another had a tail. He would almost consider them costumes but… they moved according to their emotions. But that was the least important part. Aaron had yet to make a bond or be noticed by anyone there. Also, a girl, black-haired and grasping a katana caught his eye... But in the worst way possible. She seemed to have a demeanor where she thought she was high-and-mighty, and better than everyone else standing there. The worst part is, she looked like she was, and something about her just ticked Aaron off. His goal today was to try to avoid everyone, especially her, in Emerald Forest. The others glanced back with equally queasy looks.

"Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path," Ozpin directed. Good, that was something Aaron could deal with. As long as he didn't need his powers. "You will be launched into the Emerald Forest shortly. Are there any questions?"

Clutching the hilt of his Chokuto, Aaron crouched, battle-ready, as Crew taught him. He had been prepared for all the challenges he was given…but he wasn't sure about what was to come…

Special Powers: Has eyes that change color and reflect his emotions, has the power over atoms (albeit they wear him out quite quickly). These atom powers allow him to materialize objects, like weapon extentions (second sword, etc.) along with his sword. The sword was  granted to him in a ritual for his 18^th birthday, as it symbolizes the growth in skill from a boy to a young man.

 

Background: The Fennikusu Tribe is an advanced tribe both technologically and in power. However, they continue to maintain their old culture and value brotherhood and sisterhood. Roen was born a blind baby. However, during that time the Fennikusu tribe was researching the creation of artificial eyes with the ability of foresight. With their research almost finished, they decided to test it out on the son of a well-respected tribe member, who was soon-to-be the leader. 

Roen grew up as nearly any child in the tribe, and was trained in a special class of, interestingly enough, ninja-like swordsmen, since his tribe specialized in swift, stealth arts. He often uses one-handed and two-handed techniques with his sword, and can materialize objects at will, although he runs the cost of extreme fatigue or even fainting. 

 

Other Information: Roen has grown to be the kind, resourceful type of leader, despite the mentality that he doesn't give a damn about leading anything or anyone. Since his emotions are shown through his eyes, he is easily readable to others, and is often times a very bad liar. Because the Fennukusu value brotherhood, he intends to keep the bonds he makes strong, yet is very susceptible to lies himself, and sometimes leads trust in the wrong places.

Made of the finest steel and tempered enhance its durability and cutting power as well as magically enhanced to reduce its weight, allowing for quicker strikes

 

Special powers: Sonic Ripper

Dex has mastered his family''s fighting style the "Sonic ripper" style which is all about swordfighting both at range and up close, its name is self explanatory, it focuses on slashes to fast they are able to break the barrier of sound,  this technique also hinges heavily on wind magic to boost its speed even further, allowing for the slashes to send afterwaves that are able to do heavy damage, each strike due to the velocity packs a powerful enough punch as well as its cutting capabilities hinging on the sword's own, able to cut through people or even structures with enough concentration and mastery, the sword fighting style is pretty much a copy of Kendo, but much more balanced in terms of defense and offensive, the user can fight at ranged with lightning fast slashes sending afterwaves of air in order to slice from a distance of fight even better up close.

While the attacks are supersonic at best, there is a variation of the technique called "Dimension cutter" which boosts the attacks from supersonci to hypersonic and even further, but have only been mastered by only one person in all 600 years of practice throughout its history, as the style is extremely dangerous to both the wielder and anyone around.

In order for the Sonic Ripper technique to be utilized the user must be at a state of trance, which they can freely go into any time they wish to, this trance increases their reaction time and overall awareness in order for them to be in tune with the technique's power.

 

However the Sonic Ripper technique has many variations which differentiates user from user, in Dex's case his variation hs the name of "Breaker" since it is the most capable of breaking armors and magical barries by extreme precision slashes at the exact same spot multiple times.

 

 

Background: Son of the Renowed "Maximus Carther" the "Soul slicer" who was known for his sonic ripper's variation called "Soul Reaver" which ignored any forms of defense be it armor or shields and went straight through the opponent cutting anything in its path, Dex's family have been allies to the Fenikkusu for generations and have strong ties and loyalty to them, the Carther family is spread out accross all of the region, outposts in most places, and they are always neutral to any and all factions, except Maximus's branch, which is allied to the Fenikkusu, but a long time has passed since Maximus's branch was destroyed and maximus assassinated, leaving Dex as one of the few survivors of the attack which happened 4 years ago, by unknown attackers, Dex has been trying to work with the Fenikkusu ever since.

 

Other information: Dex personality is calm and respectful, but he also jokes and laughs, and is a genuinely nice guy, however mess with his friends and family and he will not hesitate on cutting your limbs off and giving you a swift end the moment you attempt said act.

He is loyal to all who help him and will almost never betray them, unless he has been betrayed by them beforehand.

Alliance: A Prince of Sudon
Weapon: A scepter. Looks ornamental, until you see the fire engulfing the end. But it is still sharp, with a pointy end bit, where the fire is.
Special Powers (if any): He can materialize his scepter at will. And the fire will never go out, but he can dim and brighten it.
Brief Background: Perseus was born a prince, but he was looked down upon by his brothers. Ever since he was young, his brothers didn't like him, taunting him for being a weakling. But now that he older, with his scepter of fire, he swears revenge against his other brothers, and he's dead set on becoming the one true king. 
Other Information: He is a genius, certainly smarter than most of his brothers. He is also a master of strategical planning, but isn't very good at fighting. His long term goal is to kill all of his other relatives, and will do anything to this end.

 

You know... I could just go the full Lelouch route, have him raise a rebellion... but we'll see. We'll see.

She is also a genius.Brief Background: When she was born the castle soothsayer said something was very special about her and that she was destined to do great things. The king became worried as the kingdom was being threatened by many others at the time and he did not want her to be used as bait. He kepts her inside the castle most of the time to her mothers disdain. Her mother thought that she should go into training but her father did not want her to get hurt. She began to do strange things like disappearing from the dining room just to appear in her bedroom suddenly around age 6. There was an incident when she was a toddler and laughing while a maid stared in horror because all her ABC blocks were all floating in alphabetical order around her head. Then once when she was 8 she ran to her parents' bedchamber crying. Her father asked her what was wrong and then she said that they were doomed because the head maid was going to cook them and eat them. Thats when they discovered her ability to read minds. So her mother, who was secretly also a wizard, started giving her magic lessons and power controlling lessons whenever they could get away from the overprotective king. When she was 14 the kingdom was completely destroyed, her parents killed before her eyes, and since then she has been living in a small cabin in a swamp.

I think there'd be a pretty close relationship between the two. Kind of a buddy-buddy humorous way.
