Neku Sakuraba 88 Posted February 14, 2015 As much as I love Marluxia I can't beat him on the Remix. And it's just on his absent being. For almost 5 hours I've been getting beaten down with his pointy stick. Can I have some bloody tips for beating this man? The Graceful Assassin is not giving me such grace. Thanks and Happy Valentine's Day! While I wait for responses I guess I'll flip more tables. 1 TimothyPese reacted to this
SirBuckford 43 Posted February 14, 2015 Have you been using Block and RCs, especially at the beginning part? He likes to swing his scythe until you get him down to a certain amount of health, in which then he'll start using his swirly roll attack. Also use Reflect (if you have it at that point in the game, I'm not sure if you would) at the end of his DM. (special move where he flies around) Also use Fire in the center just as he teleports to the center. He can be hit at the very moment he reappears, interrupting his pools of death attack. Oh, and throughout the whole fight, after you do a string of combos on him, he'll vanish then reappear to hit you with his scythe. Dodge roll is the best option for that, but if you don't have it, try blocking it. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't for me.
BlankShell 638 Posted February 14, 2015 Block. Block like the wind. Also note that none of his attacks actually damage you, except for the black portals; everything else is hit-counter based. For his air rush thing, don't use retaliate, just use Aerial Recovery; if you time it right, it cancels the moves.
Rinax 473 Posted February 14, 2015 At which point are you in the game? If you've finished the story, level up glide. It's a lame/cheap way of avoiding several of his attacks. I'm terrible at giving good advice, but, personally, for this battle, I think timing is very important.
Guest Posted February 15, 2015 In two final mix, the best way to defeat him is dealing as much damage as possible in as little time as possible, much like he will try to do to you with the counter. First and foremost, start the fight by blocking his attacks, first make sure to restore your counters(This is done by moving closer to the end of his scythe after his combo completes and pressing triangle) then block and use the standard commands against him. Once he begins using his DM(the dark pits) Switch to Final Form and use your best combo of keyblades available (I used Rumbling Rose and the Decisive Pumpkin, Pumpkin being my main) and don't give him even an edge to stand on. If you do happen to give him an edge, he will likely go for one or two combos, then try for his death pits. This is your chance to shine, let him try to do the death pit, but using Combo Master's ability to continue a combo and pull out to the finishing technique where Sora dashes around quickly, for whatever reason, in my experience, it knocks him out of the DM and allows you to begin to pound him. From there, just tear him up, if he gets back up, repeat process and murder him.
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) You know, Marluxia was actually a pretty easy opponent once you figured out his move set. Back when I was fighting his Absent Silhouette, I think I was at level 88 or 89, and I remember dying a few times, but then, I leveled up Final Form so that I could get the Glide ability for Sora, and basically, as Rinax suggested, use Glide, and your set. The only thing you really have to watch out for is for his three deadly dark void petal circle thingies. As long as you glide above them, you're good to go. The rest for you to do here is just slash, slash and slash away until his HP hits zero! Edit: This basically also applies for the Data Replica battle, the only exception is that in said Data battle he has more HP, if I'm not mistaken.
