Also, Shao Kahn, in the original timeline before the reboot with MK9 and MKX, brought about Armageddon, with the added bonus of gaining the power of Blaze, a big fiery God-like monster thingy that he killed. X3

From what I've been told in literature (or what I remember in it) is that an antagonist is just an adversary or opponent to a protagonist.  And either one of them can be a hero or villain.

If by that you mean in MKX there's a Variation with Sun Energy, then yes.

 

In fact, Kotal Kahn is based around Sun Energy, Blood Totems and Aztec-Inspired Stuff. X3

Thank God he's not Kortal Khan.  But just imagine Sun Energy combined with unique uses, Clouds to ride on, and Super Saiyan.

However:

 

I prefer Kotal's use of Sun Energy, seems more practical since it uses the Sun like raw, unfocused energy instead of Orbs.

 

That and varying levels of Sun Rays can either heal the user and slightly burn the opponent (Low energy - KK's God Ray Move) or incinerate the enemy. (High Energy - KK's Sun God Choke Move, seen above.)

 

He also has a Sunstone Disc thingy as a Projectile which is a Disc wreathed in Burning Sun Energy. Either that or just a Mithanchulisijfkdjfj--What ever that Aztec Sword is.

That and his attitude towards her is stern but nice, soo....

 

Also, you can't use what we discuss here as influence for how Shade acts around Khan anyway, it has to happen in story to influence their views like any story.
