I've held back from doing another update post because we're moving pretty fast as is and I don't want to update so often that we have a ridiculous pace some people may not be able ot keep up with, but I also want to make sure the pace is flowing fairly well. Does everyone feel like 5 posts per person between updates is pretty fair? MDS! I SUDDENLY REMEMBERED: MY GUY IS IN ANOTHER CITY THAT WASN'T HIS OWN! Can I call in his police car? Or is this gonna be a fun case of 'fish out of water' scenario? lol, I'll go with no police car for the moment for the purpose of balancing concerns, but who knows, maybe you'll get a surprise a little ways into the RP. Welll, ok. Name: Ability of Creation: To steal souls and use their abilitys. Age: 15 Gender: Male Appearance: A black suited teen, with slick hair. Personality: Quiet and serious. Background: Unknown. This is a good start, but it'll need some more detail and some refinement before I can accept it. Firstly, you'll need a name as that way other players can refer to your character if they have actions involving him. Secondly, as Silver pointed out earlier, the ability to steal souls and use their abilities is quite a bit overpowered for an RP where player-vs-player fights are quite possible. You'd need to explain how the process would work, what limits it has, and how it can be countered, but honestly I think that as a core concept it may simply be too powerful to use. Remember that you want a character who has enough limits and imperfections in their powers as to make fights and encounters interesting and fun. You're getting there though! Oh man, I am super late to the party. I hope it's not too late for me to join! ------------------------------ Name: Nathan Cross Ability of Creation: Gravity Manipulation - At first, Nathan will be able to use his powers in very slight ways such as drawing things towards him and pushing things away, as well as creating weapons out of nearby objects and keeping them held together using the power of gravity. Soon after, he will be able to use gravity orbs that can be thrown from a distance. These orbs are capable of either attracting or repelling objects. Later on, Nathan will be able to alter the gravity around him such as increasing or decreasing the gravity that effects others. This can be used to enhance his own as well as his allies speed and power while also doing the opposite to his enemies. Endgame powers will include increasing the gravitational strength of his own body, holding broken bones together in place and being able to withstand great gravitational pressure. He can also conjure miniature black holes that are capable of completely engulfing attacks or people if they come too close. (I'm experimenting here, so let me know if I need to turn it down a little. Still not as a OP as Riki though.) Age: 19 Gender: Male Appearance: Personality: A very quiet and reserved individual who likes to keep to himself. Usually wanders around with a bored expression, but can become ecstatic when something new and exciting begins to unfold. Is regarded as a genius among his peers who are several years older than him. Wishes to find some kind of rival who can challenge him mentally. Hiding his emotions and lying to most people he comes across is his forte as he continues to seek "strong" opponents. His morale's are almost non-existent as his only intention is to satisfy his eternal boredom, using any means in order to achieve his goal. He has a great disdain for the weak as he feels that they have no place in the world, thinking that only the strongest should survive. Despite all of this, he himself is physically weak in comparison to most people his age. Background: Nathan was raised to be the prodigal son of a wealthy corporation that his father created. Ever since he was young, he was challenged with IQ tests to determine his intellectual limits, but he managed to surpass almost all expectations. Over the years, Nathan realised that everyone he had once considered his equal or his superior were now bowing their heads to him in shame. As he grew, he became a stereotypical loner, spending almost all of his time alone while reading highly advanced books that would help towards managing his father's company in the future. As he neared adulthood, his father began to feel threatened by his own son's genius and took it upon himself to send him away for "trial experience" at another company while secretly plotting how to avoid losing his own company. However, Nathan knew what his father was planning, but simply did not care enough to do anything about it. Instead, he decided to gain experience with this new company, begin a takeover of said company and challenge his father head on in a battle that he knew he couldn't lose. Unfortunately, on the day he was to gain ownership over both companies, he awoke in The City. (I think this counts as my first major villain character ) Ooh, interesting power and character choice, I like it! You're accepted. You're officially now part of the Crest team! Allows the person to create/manipulate/change genes in species he knows a lot about to make them into whatever he wants them to be? Unlike evolution-based, this is more like selective breeding and cannot be preformed on humans at all but can be used to encite feelings of love for one-another? Just as a neat side-effect. I'm currently in the middle of quite a bit of work, but in a little bit I should have some time to check through all the posts and make sure I'm caught up and then post an update. It depends on the creations of other characters instead of deriving from himself. Age: 19 Gender: Male Appearance: Personality: Jay was never the "goody two-shoes", and never pretended to be. If he was gonna do something, it's 'cause he wanted to. Usually a hard head, he'd only spend his listening time towards others when there was a problem he could fix. Don't be fooled by his cold exterior - he's a bit of a softie on the inside, and holds a secret that he won't forget. Background: Jay grew up alone, ate alone, and did almost everything he wanted to do from afar. He made his life savings by selling off pieces of art he drew around his city, and painted, sculpted, played music, and created poems. His artistic mindset, even when asked to join groups or even professional teams, thrived when he was left to himself, which was what he did. He'd only help those who he thought were in dire need of it, such as school fights that got too brutal or stick-up robberies, with wit and awareness of his surroundings.
