Fusion reactors aren't batteries, they are nuclear power plants. I know. But A beam of pure energy that is about 3 KM in diameter being spammed would put the system under extreme stress, especially when charging the energy and then releasing it in a very concentrated burst. Relying on the reactor, which when keeping the Gundam to a decent size, would be unwise without making it an external part, but a history of external parts and damage to them causing explosions happens often, as the reactor would need to be smaller in size, and as such cannot handle a lot of stress. Plus, if it's hit, a neucular power system will cause major damage to the city and possibly kill anyone caught in the radius(Which would be very big) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

We do not know what we'll be fighting here, nor what puzzle or oddity might await us. Then we hear it. It starts out as a melodious windchime, but it suddenly turns dark, and louder, as a nearly-visible rip in space and time opens and a massive blue dual-prism floats into view. It moves in a graceful, almost harmless way; its very movements let off a calm, beautiful noise. But then it notices us. It suddenly shifts shape, transforming into an unfathomable mess of geometric shapes as the red core begins to glow. It lets out a high-pitch woman's scream and fires a massive beam of pure energy that lays waste to the buildings around us. The buildings are razed, turned to molten material before dissipating into pure nothingness. We must now fight Ramiel, the Sixth Angel, and the Angel of hope. Good luck.
