I can understand why this game is taking a long time to make.

I can understand why is game is taking so long to make, because of it being one of the biggest kingdom hearts games ever!

And Kingdom Hearts 3 will have a lot more characters and worlds than previous titles like birth by sleep and dream drop distance. So that could be taking a while to make all the areas to the worlds, and all the characters and their movements and the voicing is usually done last after the animation is made. There's so much as well as music for each world too and I think they are making new attraction flow rides that sora can use against enemies?

The reveal was made too early. They were scared it's hype was dying (which is ridiculous considering the consistency of title releases). They really should have waited till this past E3 or even this years.

No. Development started in 2010.

If it started 3 years before the reveal, why did they say it was made revealed early? Three years doesn't seem "early" to me, as 3-5 years is a normal development cycle for a completed game.I think it started much later than that and the fans just want to believe it started back then, as i cant remember reading anything about them stating when it started.

You're not seeing the point. If a developer states that a project was started at whatever time, it was started at that time. Developers know they cannot lie about this kind of thing, because if someone found out, in which they easily could have, Tetsuya Nomura could have been landed in hot water, which someone of his stature wouldn't risk. So this is false. Sorry.

That's the thing, we've never had concrete confirmation of when development started. I see "development started in 2010" but only from fans, not from anyone on the team.

Nomura confirmed it. If a developer confirms it, it is more than likely true. Especially with the fact I stated that they would be landed in hot water if they lied about it.

development begins long before 'official' development.

Nomura mentions working on early elements of KH3 in some very old interviews. However, actually making the 3D models, gameplay, and that sort of thing only just started recently

 Proof?

Besides the fact that they haven't even thought about any of that, they just switched the game's engine.

For once we agree on something. Concept, writing, storyboards, all that happen before modeling, environments etc and until they have 3D models, they have nothing to show, So maybe that part of development just stared in 2013, and if that's the case, it isn't taking "long" at all
