Never, if I can avoid it. It completely firetrucks up the immersion for me (unless it's some alien language or whatever, like in KotOR). It's the same reason I can't watch subbed anime.

(That's something I really appreciated in DDD, by the way- the ability to actually enjoy cutscenes!)

Truth is they only included that option because they are hard to read in 3D or something. Lol.

Huh, I never considered that. So one of the things I liked most about DDD was only due to technical limitations. Great.

Eh, sometimes. Although, it really depends. I prefer KH cut scenes without subtitles because I feel they're too big. But only one game had the option without cheats.

I also tend to stare at the subtitles instead of the actual scene, which I hate.

My problem exactly. I want to watch what's going on, but my eyes are constantly drawn to the bottom 10% of the screen.

Always. English is not my first language, so sometimes I have a hard time to hear what they are saying, but I always want to play videogames/watch movies in English because my language sucks. So I'm used to reading subtitles and I can focus on both the subtitles and on what is going on.

Yes, mostly just because I like to make sure that I'm getting all the information I need. Sometimes you mishear things, or for one reason or another, you don't have the volume up.
