The Black Pearl was fogbound, and Jack could go nowhere in these conditions. He was charting out a course, when he reached for some rum and found the dirty bottle empty."Why is the rum always gone?" He slinked down to the cargo to get a drink, when he heard a commotion above decks. 

 

"Ship spotted through the fog cap'n!"  

Jack looked startled, "Is it the Dutchman!?" "Not sure!" Gibbs said.Jack grabbed the jar of dirt and held it close, wandering past Gibbs onto the deck.

[Soul Eater Evans 4,045]

The Going Merry rocked forcefully on the rushing tides as a slim teenager with medium-length black curly hair and a long nose stared with a monocular. "Eh.... I can't see a darn thing out there." A tall man with blonde hair stood calmly in place, lighting his cigar. "Don't worry about it, we'll be fine." He reassured. "We can take on anything." As the teen, named Usopp, adjusted his monocular, he gasped. "Ship spotted! Get ready for possible action!" A boy with short, blue trousers with cuffs, sandals, and a sleeveless red vest simply smirked. "I'll take anyone on, no matter what!"

(Excuse me if my Zoro isn't very good. Not used to writing him. Same for Nami, honestly.)

Waking up with his swords clutched tight to him, Zoro rose from his bed. Walking over to the captain, after spending a few minutes lost under the ship, he asked, "Who do you think it is?" as he tied a red bandanna around his head. He wanted a fight, and he wanted one soon. Back in her bunk, Nami was dreaming of money. Of being surrounded by it, of touching it, of swimming at, and most of all, having lots and lots of it. Unfortunately, for her, she woke up right in the middle of the best bit, as the ship was rocked by waves. She stormed up on deck, and confronted Luffy. "Does your taking on of other people require you to interrupt my sleep? I'll charge you, if you wake me up like that again," she said, sounding angry.

As the Pearl neared the Going Merry, many of the crew commented on how...odd the ship's ram looked...like it was LITERALLY a ram.Jack got on deck, and wandered over to the rail peering at the ship and crew peculiarly. "Well...at least its not the Dutchman!" Jack said.Gibbs wandered over, "Aye looks like we're home free...." The sea between the two ships started to bubble and foam, and a monstrous ancient looking ship broke the surface.The crew of the ship appeared to be deformed to look like ocean fish, especially their captain...who was covered in barnacles and had a tentacle beard that moved like a glob of worms. "I'll handle this," Jack wandered across the deck, "Ahoy! Fishface!" "Lose something!?" He held up the jar of dirt above his head, "I think you-" That was when Jack didn't watch out where he was going and fell down the stairs from the upper deck.

All of the crew of the Pearl, Will and Elizabeth included, groaned "oohh!" with each sound of Jack rolling down the stairs.They thought he'd gotten injured but the jar appeared held in his hands up high, "Got it!" 

 

Standing back up Jack started prancing around, much to his crew's disbelief, chanting. "I got a jar of dirt! I got a jar of dirt! And guess what's inside it!" Davy Jones had heard enough and as soon as Jack finished his chant, he pulled out a pistol in his squidlike tentacle hand and pulled the trigger, hitting the jar and shattering its contents down upon Jack's head.

 

"You and I had an agreement, Jack Sparrow! Your soul, or ninety nine others! Since Mr. Turner has returned to you, and your time is up, I'm afraid I'll have to claim it now either way!" 

 

Jack noticed that there was a group of men pushing a wheel and then a resounding THUMP! reverberated throughout the water.

As Usopp aimed a small lead ball at the enemy, Sanji and Luffy leaped to the enemy ship, prepared for combat.Luffy rushed towards the fish crew, unfazed. "You guys look a bit weird, but if I can't beat you, how else am I going to become the pirate king!?" he yelled, launching a punch at one of them. Sanji casually walked to two crew members, sweeping both of them with a roundhouse kick. "You guys aren't even worthy of being table scraps." As Usopp provided more covering fire, Luffy grabbed a sharklike pirate, and threw him into a crowd. "You gonna help out?" Luffy asked Jack.

"Don't fight without us!" Luffy yelled as the Going Merry rammed into Davy Jones's ship. As Usopp aimed a small lead ball at the enemy, Sanji and Luffy leaped to the enemy ship, prepared for combat.Luffy rushed towards the fish crew, unfazed. "You guys look a bit weird, but if I can't beat you, how else am I going to become the pirate king!?" he yelled, launching a punch at one of them. Sanji casually walked to two crew members, sweeping both of them with a roundhouse kick. "You guys aren't even worthy of being table scraps." As Usopp provided more covering fire, Luffy grabbed a sharklike pirate, and threw him into a crowd. "You gonna help out?" Luffy asked Jack.

(Sorry for taking awhile longer than I wanted to. But I'm here now!)

Zoro, who had first been rushing in the wrong direction, rushed a group of fish pirates, a grin on his face. He pulled out his sword, stopped, and asked, "Who will take me on?" as he moved the sword from one fish-pirate to another. He felt something fishy was going on, but he was glad to get the chance to fight. Stopping his sword at a random fish-pirate, he rushed at it with his sword. 

 

Nami, for her part, once she realized a fight was going on, ran back to her bunk and hid under it. She really didn't want to fight. Besides, Zoro could easily take them, she was sure of it.

Davy Jones and his crew were astonished at these newcomer's powers.However, he was not about to have them toss around his crew like that, so he shoved the wheeldriver aside and began to submerge the ship into the ocean, the Kraken hammer still going as it sunk.Davy bore his eyes into the crew of the Black Pearl, as the rear of the ship vanished beneath the waves.The Straw Hats were left floating and (for some like Luffy) struggling to stay afloat. Wondering what the hell just happened."Bloody hell!" Jack said lowering himself and Mr. Gibbs and Cotton into the lifeboat. Mr. Gibbs quickly rowed them up to the four boys. "Help the one flapping his arms first, quickly before he drowns." Jack ordered Cotton and Gibbs.When the four boys were in the lifeboat, "What about that red haired lass who's hiding in their ship?" Gibbs asked.

 

"Pintel and Raghetti are right over there in their own lifeboat...she'll be in no danger....of drowning or otherwise." Jack stated.

 

"Its not her drowning she should be afraid of with those two...." Gibbs said."We heard that!" a lanky man with a fake eye and a stringy haired heavy set man were seen rowing nearby with Nami pouting in their boat.

 

Once they had reached the deck of the Pearl, a very large creaking and splintering of wood was heard, as the Going Merry seemingly split in two from a massive green tentacle wrapped around it."Its the Kraken!! We're doomed!" the entire crew, except Will, Gibbs, Elizabeth and Jack himself were panicking.Grabbing a flintlock from a nearby crewmate, Jack fired it into the air.....everyone stopped in their tracks, and a large gull flopped to the deck with a fatal gunshot wound."Alright everybody listen up! The Kraken is after me and me alone, but I'll be damned if she's gonna take the Pearl and meself all neatly wrapped up with a little bow. Now who's ready to give this squid hell!?" Jack shouted enthusiastically.There was a moment of silence, before the entire crew turned around and started heading to the lifeboats."Pleasure knowing ya Cap'n!" Pintel said shaking Jack's hand, before wiping it off on his vest like he would get some disease.

"Wait a minute, why should we run? When its him the beast wants!?" Raghetti asked.

There was another moment of silence, and next thing Jack knew he was swarmed and lifted up high by the entire crew, save Will, Elizabeth and Gibbs. "Uh...can't we discuss this?"

Luffy rolled around in the lifeboat, unaware of what just happened. "Ugh.... did we.. beat them....?" Barely managing to stand, he noticed Usopp wailing while searching his pockets for a weapon while Sanji himself lit a cigar with his head held down, staring in another direction. "Guys, what's ...." Taking a look at the sea, he was in time to see the Going Merry sink into the ocean. As Luffy's eyes widened in complete shock, Usopp couldn't hold back his tears. "Uwaaaaggghghg! How c-could this happen to us! Now of all times!" A flood of tears rushed out of Luffy's eyes despite not believing the situation. "But... Sanji and Zoro broke a lot of things....hehe.. and even when Usopp couldn't repair them, it was okay..... SO HOW COULD THIS POSSIBLY HAPPEN!? MERRY!! OUR MISSION ISN'T OVER YET! HOW!? HOW!?" As Luffy fell to his knees in despair, Usopp and Sanji, who have already realized their current situation of being surrounded by unknown pirates, prepared for battle. "MERRRRRR-" Luffy roared before being interrupted by Sanji who placed a hand on his shoulder. "Luffy, we're surrounded by completely different pirates. Now is not the time." As Luffy raised his head, he took in the current condition they were in. As Usopp continued to search his pockets for weapons, Luffy stood up, staring at the Black Pearl's crew. ".... w-who the heck are you guys? And why are you wearing such weird clothes?" Raising his hands, he prepared to engage the new enemies. Meanwhile, Sanji continued to watch Mr. Gibbs, prepared for a potential attack. "Where are we, anyway? Which ocean is this?" Sanji asked the man, hoping to get an answer. Zoro himself unsheathed his katanas, holding them out to the enemy with a stern face. "One move, and I'll slice all of you in half." He threatened.

Gibbs held up his hands to show he wasn't going to cause any trouble. "My name is Joshamee Gibbs, the captain over there's name is Jack Sparrow, and the two who took the red haired girl in their boat are Pintel and Raghetti." "As for what ocean you're in.....the Caribbean, as for where you are...you're on the deck of the Black Pearl...regarded as one of the fastest ships around." They heard Jack shout from within the mob on the other side of the deck, "That's CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow!" 

 

Gibbs finally noticed what was happening and rushed over to the large crowd who were just starting to tie Jack up with hunks of raw meat on him. "Hey hey hey! Don't be doing that!" Gibbs untied Jack, not noticing one of the pirates reaching for his own pistol to shoot Gibbs in the back of the head, but upon seeing everyone shaking their heads at him, he put it back in his holster."Thank you Mr. Gibbs." Jack said shoving the raw meat off of himself and smelling himself afterwards. Wandering over to the newcomers, he looked them over. "You had Davy Jones and his smelly fishy crew running scared. Never seen him retreat like that. But...in regards to the situation....you're ship is fine....its been sunk to the depths of the ocean...but they say whatever ship is sunk by the Kraken, resides in the locker. And that's where we'll all be if we're not quick to find land." Taking note of the looks on their faces, he sighed."I can tell you're not from around here....so I'll be quick to explain since we could be set upon by the ferocious beast at any moment. Davy Jones is a sort of devil of the seas so to speak, he offers those who are captured by his ship, the Flying Dutchman, to serve for a hundred years as part of that nasty little crew of his....in exchange for postponing their deaths. What I was trying to do, and why I had that bloody jar of dirt...was to make a deal with ol' squiddy in exchange for his heart that he's quite infamous for keeping in a locked chest.""His heart is the only way to kill him, however if you stab the heart....you replace Davy Jones....at least that's what the legends say. Long story short: I'm in his debt and he's after me soul. Which is why any minute now the Kraken is going to-" Jack never go to finish, as the Pearl began to sway back and forth."Everyone man the cannons!" Will cried out. Jack's face went pale as Pintel and Raghetti and Cotton and others, rushed past him to the cannons.

Zoro sheathed his sword with a scornful "Hmph." That did a surprisingly good job of summing up his current feelings. He wasn't exactly a man of many words; even when faced with a giant fish-like monster, that is to say, the Kraken. He looked at Luffy, and asked him, "What do you think the chances of me taking the Kraken, solo?" With his skill, he was giving it a 50-50 chance. 

 

Nami... was not in a very good mood. She had had a stressful day. Starting with the Going Merry capsizing, caused by a giant sea monster, then diving onto a lifeboat. Which then ended up capsizing. So she ended up in a lifeboat with two strange men. Pintel and Raghetti were their names. Eventually landing on a ship called the Black Pearl, she walked right up to Luffy. Her fist clenched, but she didn't do anything else. Sighing, as she realized that she almost certainly wasn't going to be getting any money any time soon, she rushed over to a cannon, and started firing at the Kraken.

Luffy scoffed, manning a canon. "If this thing was on land, it would be out cold in 5 seconds flat!" Extending his arms, he gathered a few cannon balls and proceeded to throw them straight at the kraken. "This is what you get for taking my ship!"  Loading the cannon with his other arm, the alternating blows were endless as Sanji passed ammunition to Usopp. "Why can't you man your own canon? We could take it down faster!" The sniper complained, aiming for vital spots. Sanji continued to pass cannon balls, taking advantage of his body strength. "Just focus on taking him down. You and Luffy can do it." Eventually, Luffy stopped using the weapon, and proceeded to simply throw the ammunition with all his might. "No over-sized squid is gonna stop me!"
