Scran/ To Scran - Term meaning 'food', 'to eat' or 'eating' E.G "Let's get some scran." (Let's get some food), "I'm scranning." (I'm eating).

Chuddy - Chewing Gum.

Dead - Something being bad or hard. Example 1, "That party was dead.", "That exam was dead hard!"

Live - Something being good. EG "That party was live."

Ginnel - Stone walled passage way connecting streets, often adjacent to housing. Also known as Alley in normal places.

Mint - Something is good. EG "That car looks mint!"

Snide - Being nasty. EG "Don't hit him, that's snide!"

Safe - Somebody who is respected. EG "Yeah I like that guy, he's pretty safe."

Well, I'll translate litteraly some stuff.

Slang? Tbh can't tell if this is just NYC or not.

I'll name a few, too many to list though.

 

 

1. THOT = That hoe over there.

2. On point = Basically something that is something that is perfect. It turned into on fleek but tbh fleek sounds weird. It sounds like some type of scalp disease to me.

3. Ratchet = Ugly and/or nasty.

4. Fresh = Looking nice

5. Front = Trying not to be some fake ass person.

6. firetruck boy = A guy who is a pussy or weak. Sometimes my friends use it to people trying to get it in with them so maybe it works that way too?

 

Also you are bound to run into curse words left and right from strangers so have fun in NYC. We also like to sometimes leave out words in sentences.

Lmao I have no idea if this is even slang tbh, seeing as its different from the rest on this thread.
