Young Justice: Outsiders (Sign ups & Discussion)

"The Team" is the only known designation for the group of young heroes who worked as the secret arm of the Justice League for nearly 6 years. After innumerable successes, the last of which was their pivotal role in repelling the Reach invasion of Earth, the team was offered a place along side the Justice League as the Titans. But a few on the Team and the Justice League believed that it was still important to maintain a force for secret missions that the publicly scrutinized Justice League and Titans could not do. With old veterans and new members, the revitalized Team sets up shop in a secretly rebuilt Mount Justice, ready to face any foe, whether it is the Light or an encroaching apokolips.

 

~*Basics*~

Players will take control of canon DC characters and/or personal OCs in this rp. Those who are a part of the Team will receive missions from team leaders, like Aqualad and Nightwing. Solo and villain parts are welcome as well.

 

~*Rules*~

1: Yuffie Kisaragi, Soul Eater Evens, TimTrainsDragons, and I are the council. Each member of this council has authority in this rp.

2: Keep the rp at a PG-13 range.

3: No godmodding, for obvious reasons.

4: No killing other players's characters without permission from said player.

Bio: Batman's first apprentice, they met after Dick's parents died after their acrobatic act was sabotaged. After helping Batman defeat those involved, Batman took him in under his wing and trained him. He became Robin. Robin eventually joined a team of other young superheroes. The team had several successful operations, including freeing the Justice League from mind control. The Team continued, though it's line-up changed over time. Robin left Batman, becoming more individual under the new moniker of Nightwing. After Aqualad went undercover, Nightwing became team leader. He led the team through the Reach invasion, once again defeating a threat to the earth. Afterwards though, Nightwing felt the need to leave the Team for a time after Kid Flash died. He has taken up duty as a solo hero.
Powers/Abilities/Weapons: Nightwing is an extraordinary detective, excellent athlete, martial artist, and acrobat. He is also armed with two electric escrima sticks that can combine into a bowstaff. He holds on him several gadgets useful for any occasion. His bracer has a holocomputer installed too.

Personality: Amiable, caring, kind, generally happy, timid at times, careful
Bio: A martian, Martian Manhunter's niece to be specific, who came to Earth five years ago to join The Team. She was a founding member of the team, who gained a lot of experience and understanding of the world as she worked with The Team. After revealing her deepest secret, a big burden was lifted off of her shoulders. Over the next few years, she broke up with her boyfriend Superboy, cut her hair, donated blood to Gar, and became much more proficient with her mental powers. When the Reach invaded, she was forced to face the changes she'd made, and come to terms with the things she'd done, especially after she mindblasted Aqualad. She is currently on The Team, broken up with La'gaan and reconciled with Superboy.
Powers/Abilities/Weapons: Her martian physiology allows her to shapeshift, use telekinesis, use telepathy and other mental based powers. She can also change her density, has super strength, and can fly.

Bio: A young kid who was never going to be anything extraordinary until he passed by Star Labs at an unfortunate time. The building exploded, and the Scarab landed near him. He picked it up, and it promptly attached to his spine, providing him the ability to use the Scarab Armor. He soon started his career of crime-fighting, though he was not sanctioned by the League until he was recruited. Once on the team, Blue Beetle participated in several missions. Soon enough, he learned of his Scarab's origin. It was Reach technology, sent to earth in order to help the Reach conquer the planet. Green Beetle tricked him into turning his beetle on mode, turning Blue Beetle into a Reach slave until he was freed by the Team's hard work. He then worked with them to take down the Reach once and for all, and in the process, became a lot more connected with the Scarab.
Powers/Abilities/Weapons: The Scarab Armor grants him a lot of abilities, including beyond human capabilities and alien weaponry, along with access to all of the Scarab's databases.

Personality: fierce, doesn't do orders very well, independent, angry, bitter, frustrated
Bio: A girl who has lost her memories. She awoke in Gotham only knowing her name. After a few days of confusion, she discovered her powers. Feeling betrayed and frustrated with the hand she'd been built, she refused to get help from any other heroes. She generally doesn't seek out and stop criminals, but has been known to kill criminals she happens upon, and knock out anybody who messes with her. Currently lives on the streets of Gotham.
Powers/Abilities/Weapons: Firia can generate force shields and discs that can protect against anything for a time. Time of effectiveness shortens depending on the attack. She can also shoot off these shields as a projectile weapon, or wield them short range as a blade like weapon.

Personality: Bright, cheerful, naive at times, temperamental, with a hidden dark side.

Bio: Greta Hayes's life was mostly normal until the day her brother Billy killed her in order to make his heart pure darkness. returning as a ghost, a disoriented and disconected Greta wandered till she found a trail of destruction left by her villainous brother. Follwoing it, she ran into Artemis and Zatanna, and aided them in their fight against Billy. This eventually led the two heroines to Greta's grave, where the ghost managed to summon enough power to overwhelm her brother. With the promise that her body would be probably buried, Greta disappeared. Or so it seemed. Over the next few years, during times of stress, Artemis would think she could see someone out of the corner of her eye, but chalked it up to her imagination or fatguie. Zatanna also had moments like this, but due to her connection to magic, she managed to see more and realize that it was Greta watching her. Concerned of what this could mean, Zatanna contacted the ghost hero Deadman and asked him to speak to Greta and help her. After that, Zatanna didn't see Greta again, but was the ghost really gone?

Bio: Barbara Gordon began her hero career as Batgirl, a protegee of Batman. A veteran of the Team, Barbara was made a team leader for the Team after Nightwing took a leave of absence. Things were looking good for Batgirl, untill she returned home to Gotham. While having dinner with her father, Barbara answered the door to find the Joker on the other side, who promptly shot her through the stomach. Barbara was left bleeding on the floor as the Joker's men took her father and after the Clown Prince of Crime took a few pictures. Rushed to a hospital, Barbara was saved, but she was left paralized from the waist down. With her father returned to her by Batman, the former Batgirl began the long healing process. For a month, she lived shut away from the world, refusing to see most people. It wasn't until an attempt by a rogue AI named OMAC tried to take control of the world that Barbara came out of her shell. Finding a hole in its digital defenses, she had Miss Martain pick her up and take her to Wayne Manor. where she managed to lock up the AI's sytems with the Batcomputer long enough for the Justice League and Titans to destroy it. With some encouragement from friends, Barbara began improving her computer skills to become an information broker for the League. in less then a month, her new codename, Oracle, has become a legend in the digital realm. After some convincing, Barbara agreed tp rejoin the team as tech support and investigator.

Powers/Abilities/Weapons: Superb computer skills, photograhic memory, skilled investigator, martial artist, and acrobat. Has a holograpic computer build into her wheel chair, electrified escrima sticks (gift from Nightwing), and one of her old utility belts hidden on her wheel chair.

Bio: What if everything you thought you knew about yourself was a lie? Kendra Saunders faced that realization during the Reach invasion. As one of the teens kidnapped by the Reach, Kendra was tested for the meta gene, but her tests came up with anomalous readings. The Reach Scientists were double checking their findings when the Team mounted a rescue operation for the abducted teens, saving Kendra along with the rest. Brought to STAR Labs, it was deduced that Kendra possessed Thanagarian DNA, which had been suppressed by what she thought was her insulin pump. Bewildered and frightened, Kendra broke out of STAR Labs and hitchhiker back to her home, her whole time feeling cramps and pain, to find her parents gone. The house was cleaned out except for her room, which was left exactly like she had it except for a crate containing an incredibly old Nth Metal Mace. Members of the Justice League found her unconscious, clutching the mace and with newly sprouted wings coming out of her back. Considering her background and the mystery around her, Hawkman and Hawkwoman took Kendra in and taught her how to deal with her new found powers. She joined the Team under the name Hawkgirl as she tries to piece her life back together.

Powers/Abilities/Weapons: Flight via wings, enhanced strength and durability. Training in armed and unarmed combat, knowledge of archeology. Nth metal mace, helmet with different vision filters, hand crossbow.
