Tails 6,692 Posted January 25, 2015 So I;m fighting Data Vexen and his boss fight is extrememly easy if you know what you're doing. Except there's only one problem I have with him...HIS FREAKING DESPERATION MOVE! I mean Once you deplete about 5 and a half of his health bar that's when he'll IMEDIATELY use his DM. Is there a really good way to avoid this attack? Because that's about the only thing that's keeping me from beating his data battle. Anti-Sora isn't that much of a problem for me. Yuya Sakaki 5,212 Posted January 25, 2015 Use Donald's Comet Limit. Peace! 1 Kello reacted to this

advfox 698 Posted January 25, 2015 Is there a way to make them last a bit longer througout the whole DM attack? You can fully restore your MP with items during most Limits. You can start another Limit right after the previous one is finished that way.
Fenrissychros 167 Posted January 25, 2015 I'll tell you how I do it: First you must know that his DM is inevitable. This means, when he reachs the needed life bars, he Will do it. You can't avoid him from doing it, so you must know how to deal with it What I do is start Gliding clockwise in the outside of the arena. He will summon 4 huge blocks, throw them one after another 3 times each block. Then he will bring them back again, and throw 2, and 2. Just keep gliding and you should evade them. If they hit you, let them finish so you can survive through once more, then heal when you are safe, and continue gliding. When he summons them back at him, he will start rolling them around him, and then throw himself against you. You should be ready to do an aerial dodge above his head to the other side of the arena. he will ambush you 3 times. At the end of the 3rd one, I go against him, and start spaming Reflect when he prepares to freeze you. You can avoid the Freeze, and the giant Ice mountain he brings up, and at the same time destroy his shield with the reflect Another strategy is using Donald's limits to survive while he attacks, throwing ethers at you to keep doing it. Once you get the hang of it, you will easily avoid it 1 Tails reacted to this

OK I guess I'll try and see if it works. but Prower. Is there anything else you can use to avoid his DM too besides Donald's Limit attack?

Well, there's the strategy Fenrissychros mentioned. Besides that, I wouldn't know. I've personally always used the Limit method.

Fenrissychros 167 Posted January 25, 2015 I'd like to point out that Vexen's DM is skippable. Here: Oh, ok. I think I heard in bizkit data guide that it was unavoidable. At least it is for the casual player, as it is difficult to manipulate him like in that video
dabestgamer 62 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) Oh, ok. I think I heard in bizkit data guide that it was unavoidable. At least it is for the casual player, as it is difficult to manipulate him like in that video He didn't say that (at least not the last time it was brought up); he and all of the other LV1 Data Org RTA speedrunners just choose not to skip it as it doesn't save enough time in the RTA to be worth doing. The only truly unskippable ones are Demyx and Final Xemnas (if you consider the Water Form mini-games and laser rooms to be DMs). Luckily he didn't use his DM a second time and let me whale on him.
decisivesora123 39 Posted January 25, 2015 Vexen to me was easy go into final form and mash x and occasionally heal yourself. If you don't want to do that mash x In standard form
