Forever 3,550 Posted January 19, 2015 (edited), thanks, but would the game be better or worse if these 2 characters and their homeworlds were in it in your opinion? Hmmmmm...... Well to answer that question well, you would have to take into consideration the tone of the two characters, and the worlds from which they are derived. Roger Rabbit's World (Toon Town, I think it was? ) Is a very, very, very, veeeeeeery, non-sensical, and out-of-proportion world. Which is totally fine, considering the type of cartoon he's supposed to be. A whimsical, exaggerated, caricature of an animal designed for the sole purpose of making people laugh. I would say like a Looney Toon character, but with his outrageous getup, and over-sized eyeballs, I'd say that he's even a step beyond that. Again, this doesn't make him a bad character, just a character with a very limited range when it comes to serious franchise clashes. And although Kingdom Hearts has it's humorous moments, I think adding such a character and his World would just be taking the series a little to far into the silly zone. Now Oswald on the other hand, would stand a better chance for two reasons: 1. His personality rocks 2. His World really rocks. Allow me to elaborate: When we meet Oswald in Epic Mickey, he is a hard worker with a good heart- but he is C.Y.N.I.C.A.L. And although we eventually see what happens between him and Mickey (won't spoil the game for anyone) we see a rabbit who quite literally has to be challenged, due to his own deep-seeded jealousy of Mickey. Which seems to work very well in the KH franchise. He'd make the perfect rival to Mickey- kind of like how Shadow is to Sonic, ya know? And the World he comes from is just....great. Such a Dark and twisted Disney World.....the Tommorowland space would be kinda fun, I think. SRKTVAMDGRLXN 232 Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) I agree. Plus, even if they did put Roger Rabbit into KH3, who the hell is going to even know who he is? Sure, the older audiences over 18 maybe since the movie is a classic to the older audience, but a ten year old boy? Nope. Same thing could go for Oswald too, just in general since most aren't really familiar with him, but Atleast Oswald had a comeback with Epic Mickey and Disneyland attractions and whatnot, plus his relationship with Mickey is really important too so it makes so much more sense. In a random note, if Oswald does appear in KH3 I hope his 420 Bunny Children appear too and Sora ends up having to babysit them or round them up or something.(On a side note I love how Oswald is a rabbit and has a cat girl friend and together they have an offspring of 420 children all named Oswald Junior plus a number. Oswald's sure been busywatch that cause KH3 to get a T rating ...so you think he, his wife and their children might, make a cameo appearance, at least? ...you killed me at that "crossed sentence" at the end... khoathkeeper13 429 Posted January 19, 2015 I could see the Wasteland being a world with the Blot as a heartless. Or maybe they end up in Timeless River again and Oswald shows up. Idk there's a lot of stuff they could do with him. I like the idea of actually finding Wasteland in Yen Sid's tower. What if Yen Sid sends them there to train near the beginning of the game or something? 2 Forever and Aqua7KH reacted to this
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted January 19, 2015 ...so you think he, his wife and their children might, make a cameo appearance, at least?...you killed me at that "crossed sentence" at the end...Probably not Ortensia or the bunny children, but Oswald might have a change. It's hard to say. I would generally say he has an extremely low chance, but we've seen Julius and Chicken Little in KH, even an entire Stitch world so having Oswald appear even as a cameo won't be a stretch of an idea.Still, I really hope Oswald does appear. He totally deserves it especially since Epic Mickey 3 isn't happening anytime soon... 1 Deadpool reacted to this

hatok 6,413 Posted January 19, 2015 So if Oswald is Mickey's Nobody, how did his heart end up inside Mickey in the first place? Deadpool 1,200 Posted January 21, 2015 Oswald already has the Epic Mickey series: don't expect it. And Roger's world is more adult: it wouldn't fit the KH series. Plus, it'd look odd, unless you ONLY did ToonTown, and not the real world. Epic Mickey flopped and crashed, it's not being continued. Oswald being in KH could be very beneficial to Oswald. 1 Aqua7KH reacted to this
Philip Ellwell 5,487 Posted January 21, 2015 ...aren't the series becoming a bit more mature? ...they used him in a TV show where he appeared together on-screen with Mickey, didn't he? I meant sexual: Who Framed Roger Rabbit has a lot of sexual and adult humor in it. Epic Mickey flopped and crashed, it's not being continued. Oswald being in KH could be very beneficial to Oswald. Only the 3rd one flopped, and there's supposedly a manga version in the works. Plus Oswald's story was pretty much over in Epic Mickey 2, anyway. 1 Aqua7KH reacted to this

Are you counting Epic Mickey 2 as the third one due to the 3DS spin-off that was based on Castle of Illusion (really didn't like that game, saying this as a big fan of the original Castle of Illusion). Anyway, yeah, Oswald looks like he doesn't have much story left in Epic Mickey. He could easily be brought back with his own, new KH story in a future KH game though. Yes, I am: Sequels are sequels, even if they're remakes of better games. EM 3 was a disaster. Well, in EM he's reunited with Hortensia, and in EM 2 his story comes to a end pretty much, so yeah, Ostown or some form of it could easily be in KH, or possibly a world like Timeless River with older characters in it. I wouldn't bet on a direct Epic Mickey crossover, but one can hope.

Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted January 21, 2015 Epic Mickey flopped and crashed, it's not being continued. Oswald being in KH could be very beneficial to Oswald.I agree. Oswald is easily one of my favorite Disney characters, if not my favorite, and he totally deserves a chance to shine in KH. Because of his important connection to Mickey, it seems only natural that he should be in KH. Not as a character in a Wasteland world, but as a character of his own like Mickey is in KH. Maybe he could be like a sort of traveler, adventuring throughout the worlds or like I said before; chasing throughout the worlds for the Phantom Blot. That on it's own could be an important sub plot for KH3. Not only that, Oswald could be introduced to the audiences that don't even know he exists, which probably makes up a good portion of KH fans and future KH fans. I love Oswald so much, and after Epic Mickey flopping it's such a shame that not many know of him. He's basically Mickey's brother for Pete's sakes. I won't be shocked if he's not in KH3, but I'll spazz out of I see him in KH3 even if it's just a cameo. 1 Deadpool reacted to this

Second, I thought Oswald was the previous version of Mickey, just forgotten? I haven't played EM in awhile, so I may be remembering it wrong.

I haven't played EM in awhile, so I may be remembering it wrong. Oswald was Walt Disney's first successful character to make but because of a contract and a jerky businessman he lost the rights to his own character when he stopped working with the jerk. On the way back home from meeting with the guy he started designing Mickey, basically Oswald's replacement. Not another version of Mickey.

Like there's the toon world that includes Wasteland and then real world. Mickey was famous while, Oswald was not due to what I said. They didn't exactly explain it in the game. They did mention Walt Disney at least once or twice.
