I haven't seen any threads made to discuss Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, the most recent Yu-Gi-Oh! series, so I thought I'd go on ahead and do it myself.

 

To be completely honest with you people, I am thoroughly enjoying this series so far, and I only see better things to come in the future. Yuya Sakaki is probably one of the better protagonists of the franchise (better than how Yuma started out, that's for sure. ). And I also love how they have just about every type of Summoning Method possible (Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Pendulum) which provides a little continuity and allusion to previous series. All in all, the series has heaps of potential.

 

And before you go and say "Oh, Arc-V is crap. They're milking out the series way too much," just stop right there and give it a chance. If you have seen a little and you still don't like it? Okay then. Fair enough. Although I think this might be the last Yu-Gi-Oh! series we'll see, just because it gives that feeling of bringing everything together from the previous installments. And yes I'll admit, it does look a little "kiddish" but believe me, it's actually impressive. Even the plot is a little confusing.

So I just watched the latest episode (39) and I have been blown away. That ending was such an epic twist!

 

 

Yuya used Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon (obtained from Yuuto) to defeat Kachidoki, in a one-turn-kill might I add! Are these other dimension versions of Yuya affecting him somehow? Is he incomplete or something? This really has me hooked now OMG!

(Thanks, Sora. ) I really think you should! Just remember, though, to watch the Subbed version because we all know 4Shi--Kids, 4KIDS, will butcher it no doubt.

 

So episode 40 was pretty damn interesting. It makes me want them to release episodes faster.

 

 

So Akaba Reiji duels this guy named Barrett (FFVII, anyone? ) and the way Reiji wins is INSANE! Barrett used Panther Warrior too, which was cool since we haven't seen it used since the original series. He used a Fusion of Panther Warrior too. So that girl from the preview is named Serena, and it appears she knows Reiji and vice-versa. O.o That's it pretty much, but there definitely IS more to come later.

 

 

So yeah, I can't wait for episode 41 which SHOULD be out in the next couple of days, I hope.

I really like Arc V so far. The characters are likable and mostly getting good development, and the plot is great so far. Yuya is one of the best protagonists we've got so far IMO, he isn't too obnoxious nor too serious. Yuzu is a huge improvement for female lead over Kotori from the last series, she actually does stuff and has plot relevance. The plot itself is taking turns I really haven't been expecting. The soundtrack is great stuff too. Also, we've got a D-Wheeler, Arc V gets bonus points just for that.

So I just watched episode 45... I'm going insane right now. Yuya's performing insane and epic moves with each episode that passes. The preview of episode 46 makes me really hyped.

 

Please guys, leave your thoughts about the series. I want the thread to at least become a little more active, because Yu-Gi-Oh! still deserves love even today.

So, episode 45. Yuya's giving me Supreme King flashbacks from GX, his "dark mode" or whatever is badass. Dennis is a very interesting character, he's obviously more than he lets on and I can't wait to see how he fits into this story. Sora and Shun are finally doing stuff again, so that's cool. The Obelisk Force soldiers are pretty cool, although them just spamming one monster was kinda boring I guess. The Youth Division Lancers (I completely forgot about them for a while lol) showing up to fight the Obelisk Force at the end makes me super hype, as does the preview for 46. Arc V is super good right now and unless they really drop the ball somewhere may become one of my favorite YGO series.

Also, I love that both Yugo AND Yuri showed up! Finally! Can't wait for the next ep. Oh yeah, I guess Shun vs Sora is still going. That is turning out to be one long duel.

About Gongenzaka... that came as a shock to me too. I think whenever Yuya goes into " Avatar berserk state" Yuto's spirit is responsible, but it remains in his body for as long as he's in the state, because Meiru detected two spirits inside Yuya i.e. his and Yuto's, and apparently there's something "deeper" too. And YES, Yuri and Yugo have shown up, but the former apparently knows Dennis and vice-versa. What could this mean?!

 

Oh, and how does an Xyz Pendulum monster such as Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon (which looks epic!) work? If it was to get destroyed and go to the top of the Extra Deck, technically it can't be Pendulum Summoned because it has a Rank, not a Level. And I guess Yuya DID pull a Yusei by beating all three Obelisk Force soldiers in a single turn. (even though one of them wasn't at full Life Points)

 

I think that Sora vs Shun duel will get better. I love how Shun swarmed the field with those Xyz Monsters. I'm really looking forward to episode 47.

Kaito Tenjo (from Zexal) and Tenjoin Asuka (aka Alexis from GX) are set to appear in the Xyz Dimension when Yuya and co. visit.

What do you people think of this news? Personally, it's pretty exciting. But why is Asuka in the Xyz Dimension? Does this mean her archetype is getting Xyz support? Because that might be pretty cool. And does this mean new Galaxy/Photon support too?!

Also yeah, could be interesting. Was wondering what they will do with the GX characters(I thought they would make them Academia Bastards, or Academia prisoners).

Also, maybe. Granted, her archtype is pretty old, so some support sounds sweet. Now for 92:

 

This is probably the most disappointing episode in Arc-V, and one of my least favorite. I can see why it took this long to sub the episode.I don't need to explain why the berserk ending that quickly was disappointing. How Yuzu is somehow being faster than Tsukikage(who is a ninja, and should be much faster than her) is also beyond me.Also, I hate how useless Yuzu is in this episode. She could have joined the duel, and try to defend herself or Serena(and help Yuya, considering the situation he is in) from Barret(Before Sergey arrived).Instead, she decides to just stand there and does nothing

.Tsukikage could also join the duel after Yuya's last turn.

Oh, and almost forgot- Yuya could have pend. summon odd-eyes in def mode in his last turn on MP2(I am going to assume OERD anime version doesn't contain the effect of destroying a pend. monster in a pend. zone, and replacing that monster, because if does have that effect on the anime, the writers were on drugs...)

Episode 92:

 

 

This episode was so anti-climactic. Right at the start the fun was just getting started then Yuzu runs in (yeah, SOMEhow before Tsukikage ) and stops the fun. I think she ruined the episode big-time. After OERD was destroyed, even if it didn't have its TCG/OCG effect in the anime, Yuya still could have Pendulum Summoned it during Main Phase 2 to defend himself. Honestly, I think "Berserk" Yuya plays way better than when he isn't in that state. And the way Sergey just goes all Iron Man at the end and steals Yuzu was just so random. Like wut? But overall, the episode wasn't too bad.

 

 

Those were my main points, really.

So, after the terrible 92, 93 is much more better:

 

Firstly, I love how Jack is in this duel.He is like: "Pfftft, whatever." at every move that sergey does.Secondly, I love how they are trying to recreate the Signer vs DS atmosphere here. Although the MC is really annoying(Unlike 5D's...).

Thirdly, Sawatari is hilarious, yet again. His scene with Reira and Enjoy Chojiro was pretty funny.

Fourthly, that Accel Synchro at 94 got me pretty exited.Lastly, the only bad thing about this episode is that it confirms for me that Serena(and my sister, of course)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Yuzu. She is more like Anzu and Zexal's(and both of these, I despise) Rather than Aki and Anzu. Which could be reverted.

Okay, so my thoughts on episode 105:

 

Okay so what I thought of this episode was that it was pretty average but the plot is definitely thickening in some way. Although it WAS more on the better side because we got some backstory which is always nice, plus Shun's character development on how he's loyal to the Lancers. Cool to see more of Kaito's cards. I'm assuming it's probably pure "Cipher" but I can hope he has some of his old Photons and Galaxies in there hiding too. And we saw Shun use a new card which apparently could be treated as another Raidraptor monster, so that's always nice for an archetype. And Yuya finally reveals Yuto's soul is inside him! And seeing Ruri is pretty nice, especially for me since she's the most attractive bracelet girl to me.

 

Also preview has me hyped to see Yuri again. We don't see enough of him lol

Okay, on to 106:

 

 

THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING. But it kinda sucked that I, er, I mean Yuya had no appearance at all but it's not really a big deal. We got a whole lot of epicness in this one episode alone. Backstory about Yusho and Reiji, a little more about the establishment of You Show School in the Fusion dimension including Asuka's "Change of Heart." (puns ) But more importantly... MASTER OF OZ. AND SUPER VEHICROID JUMBO DRILL. AND VWXYZ DRAGON CATAPULT CANNON. AND OJAMA KING. I loved Yuri's disgust towards the Ojama Yuri is savage, I loved him in this episode as well as his Starve Venom Fusion Dragon. Overall really good episode. May just be one of my favourites in this arc so far. 

 

 

And thoughts on preview for 107:

 

 

It's definitely the debut of those twins we see in the opening who use the Amazoness archetype which is interesting inb4 Amazoness become tier 1 with new support 

I just hope Alan and Sayaka don't get carded. But I'll admit that I'm curious of the consequence if they did.

So firstly, all these GX cards cameo was really nice. I feel they should have done something similar with Synchro Dimension saga. Not only that, but Ryo's(zane) and Daichi's(bastion) cameo was nice as well (the two slifers that laughed together, I think it was around 7:00)

Secondly, Yuri's face when attacking Ojama King was hilarious, made the episode better.

Thirdly, my Rise Falcon reached an higher attack points and attacked every monster of the enemy as well so I still hold the duel with the highest attack points in Arc-V. (until the duel vs the true villain comes and he will have a deck that is more broken than Numeron and Timelords combined)

Fourthly, and the most important thing is that Reiji talks as if the worlds were one once. It is probably because subs make it look this way, and not that it is actually that way, but it is pretty much my theory everysince the Yus said that they are one, in the duel vs Barret and Yugo vs Yuri.

Lastly, Yugo is as stupid as always, lol.
