waytothexdawnx 1,159 Posted January 12, 2015 Okay, so I finished watching re:Coded tonight and saw the new cutscene with Maleficent and some prophecy book. I also watched the secret ending. I know the book of prophecy and the fore tellers have something to do with Chi. I have a full time job and full time college schedule so I don't have much time to watch Chi videos. Can someone PLEASE explain to me what's going on and your theories on it? I'm super confused now. I'm also annoyed how Chi has this big of a story to KHIII and it didn't get localized. Anyway, can someone please explain this prophecy? Also who the Chi characters are. What/who is chirithy? Who is the foreteller? I just need a good explanation of Chi and how it ties to KHIII and the secret ending for re:Coded. My head actually hurts from all of this lol. I would also like to hear everyone's theories. I want to be up to date with this so I can make my own theories. Thank you in advanced!! 1 Robbie the Wise reacted to this
Robbie the Wise 5,050 Posted January 12, 2015 (edited) Chi is pretty much the story of the legendary Keyblade War. Basically you play as a Keyblade Wielder whom joins one of five Unions. These Unions are named after their respective leaders the Fortellers and enact missions from Daybreak Town(The game's hub). The Unions consist of Unicornis, Vulpeus, Anguis, Ursus, and Leopardos. The player joins whatever Union they picked and they aid their Union in collecting light in form of Lux. Each Player is bonded with a Chirithy who acts as a guide to the player and is directly tied to the player's life force. Anything that happens to the player directly effects their respective Chirithy. Throughout the course of the story we learn that the Chirithy were created by an unknown Master. This Master had six apprentices who he changed their names and gave FIVE of them The Tome of Prophecy. In the Tome of Prophecy the five apprentices were able to use the Tome to read the future however they shocked to learn that on the last page it foretold that a war in a specific place(presumably Daybreak Town) would lead to eventual prevalence of darkness and the extinction of light. In order to prevent this from happening the five apprentices(The Fortellers) began to use the tome to harness the power of the future. This power takes form as the cards that are used in primary gampelay. The player goes on various mission in different worlds collecting Lux and stopping the forces of darkness. We later learn from a rival Keyblade wielder named Ephemera the world's we see through out the events of Chi are merely an illusion and that in actuality the only real world is Daybreak Town. He explains that the worlds they live in (Pre Keyblade War Universe) is much too large for them to travel and collect the light. To compensate he explains the Foretellers are using the power of the Tome to bring forth Worlds from the future in order for them to collect light. Meanwhile the forces of light are met in opposition with the first incarnations of the Seekers of Darkness whom are presumably led by the sixth apprentice of Chirithy's Master. The Seekers of Darkness are the original creators of the Keyblade. The Seekers created Keyblades in the image of the X-blade in hopes of harnessing the light for themselves and as a means to control Kingdom Hearts. From the Destiny cutscene in ReCoded we learn that the Keyblade that Master Xehanort wields is in fact the very first Keylade ever created and presumably belongs to the sixth apprentice whom Master Xehanort has apparently molded his life after. HA! And People say that Kingdom Hearts is confusing! The fools! But I have a question... you said that the worlds were much too large for them to exsplore and collect light... what does that mean? Were there separate worlds even before the keyblade war? And how big is "Too big" because I think that all the worlds in Kingdom hearts, with an exception of a few are more or less Earth sized (Like Land of the dragons, Atlantica, Deep Jungle, and London in NeverLand) and we only visit a small part of that world... and I believe that the world...uh... planets we see though the gummi ships aren't even close to the real thing and are more like symbols. The implications in that fact is the that world housed thousands maybe even millions of mini world's(For lack of a better term lol)within it and with that many worlds you could only imagine the sheer size of the whole entity. It would probably be really hard to travel all that way to collect Lux and still remain in the organized factions that the Unions were.

Robbie the Wise 5,050 Posted January 12, 2015 ...and that is different from Kingdom Hearts in current time, How? There are still millions of worlds (The stars in the sky) to prove that...The difference is the Foretellers could summon those individual worlds from the future directly to the comfort of their town. As the opposed method would spread the Unions thin and take more time to actually accomplish their goals. It was simply a faster and more efficient method of accomplishing the same goal. The post Keyblade War universe was also structured so that it would be harder to fuse the hearts of the worlds.

I'm really liking the storyline, it's just so much to take in. So Maleficent is going to try to find this book of prophecy? KHIII should be pretty epic between this, the whole story with Terra, Aqua & Ventus, light vs darkness, Xehenort, time travel.. Nomura's head has to be spinning at all times. I know mine is. Well Maleficent is after the datascape in Jimminy's journal which behaves similar to the Tome of Prophecy. But from the looks of it Master Xehanort has found the Book of Prophecy. It would explain how Xehanort was able to plan 11 years worth of events ahead of time. 2 waytothexdawnx and HarLea Quinn reacted to this
