[KH2FM] Roxas Boss Battle

Someone can help me?
In Roxas Boss Battle, his damage is ridiculous, sometimes when the battle starts Roxas kills me instantly with his combos and abilities. Some people said to use Guard, Reflect or Dodge Roll, but I'm level 49 and I don't have any skills called like that.

I'm using the Xmas Keyblade and some equips and skills that I can't remember right now, but I just want some tips like core skills, the best keyblade, to get this battle easier

Another thing is: How can I "fly" in KH? Sometimes when I watch some videos people are flying with Sora and dodging skills, reaching the highest place in the maps or something like that and I don't know how to do this, or unlock this ability

Ok so guard you should already have check your abilities closely because his first move is deadly as hell and you need to block it. Next train your form gauge, limit form by finishing a limit, that's means when you use a limit make sure you get the last move out. Right now you can't fly because you don't haver final form, and you can't get it until you beat roxas. So level up your other forms as far as you can and then fight him. There is one way to beat him where you are use reflect which is magic and just cause him damage every time he attacks, or use sonic rave which is a limit, in limit form and this point you could kill him by using that attack the whole time, or you can't go into limit form block his attacks and then press x that wil for you to do a zantuanga I think is what it's called, that move takes the most damage out of all your moves.

to beat him i use reflect and limit form, because if he hits you in limit form, you will recover a little bit of MP, and if you use sonic blade, it will heal you each time you hit him

I'll check my skills but I almost sure that I don't have any skills called like that...
And if I don't have, what can I do to unlock this abilities?

in fact, i faced roxas some days ago and i really had a hard time beating him. Right at the beginning just guard his first attack. Before the battle, enter in the main menu, go to costumize and equip reflega(i'm pretty sure you must have it by now) on the shortcut( i prefer L1+x i find it faster to use) and abuse of it. equip some elixers too in the shortcut to restore your HP and MP. and its important to have Once more and leaf bracer abilities too. The keyblade i used was Circle of life because of its MP haste ability so my MP could restore faster and i could use reflega more times. It took me sometime but i defeated him after five tries. OH! When he goes to the center of the stage and starts shooting those balls at you, just use the quick run ability you get from Winsdom form! Hope it helps!

In fact, reading some topics here and getting help from all of you, I understood that level up my Drive Forms will give me some new abilities in normal form, right? I have 39 AP points to equip skills and I saw some people in the same level as me with 140+ AP, what can I do to have more AP like this?

I really have to wonder if these "I can't beat Roxas" topics are just some sort of unfunny joke by now.

I'm sorry if I am new in the game and I haven't played in PS2 like all of you I think... It's not an unfunny joke, I don't know how the game works perfectly because I have started in Kingdom Hearts a month ago

Get all the treasures in each world, some of them you'll find a bunch of AP Ups. Use them exclusively on Sora, it will rise his AP pretty much. And yes, as you level up each dirve form, they give you Growth abilities(high jump(valor),quick run(winsdom), air dodge(master), dodge roll(limit) and glide(final)). I leveled all of them in Timeless river in Mickey's house.

 

BTW...critical mode gives you +50 AP right at the beginning. That's why you see some people with a lot of AP, at level 50 the AP is around 110-120 if you use all the AP ups you find

All of the above, but just to summarize and give some very basic strats:

 

- You can level up your drive forms to get new abilities that allow you to move around more freely (i.e. high jump, dodge roll, etc. This is also how you "fly", but this form is inaccessible at your point in the game.)

- Try to guard and reflect as many of his abilities. If you run out of mp from reflecting, use ethers or elixirs. 

- Abuse limit form. Sonic Blade is easy to activate, because you can just mash triangle and the combo will continue. This will also restore HP. If you can, level up limit form once, this will give you Auto Limit. Equip this and when you go HP critical you have another way out.

Oh, the AP thing is party due to the fact that you might have missed some AP Boosts in chests, and party because other players you have seen played on Critical Mode, which gives you more AP when you start out.

Use Decisive Pumpkin, and learn Roxas' pattern and moves in order to be ready. Guard or use Reflex if you feel trapped. Level 54 should be enough to beat him. If you're in trouble, spam Limit Form and deactivate it when Roxas starts throwing Light Bolts at you. To fly, you need to level up Final Form, which you'll be able to obtain after the fight with Roxas. Use Two become One to unlock the form and level it up fighting Nobodies in the second part TWTNW.

You're welcome! Rumbling Rose may be useful since it increase the number of Finishers by 1, but Decisive Pumpkin is better (in my opinion) because thanks to Combo boost you can deal more damage. BTW I had the same problem as I was level 47 and couldn't get past him. I needed 7 attempts to kill him, and when I killed them I had all the Fusions at their max level (6 is the max level they can reach before facing Roxas). I trained them in the section right before the fight with Roxas, where there are only Shadow waves. Hope you'll beat him soon! Glad I could help
