Anti-form shows up everytime I DON'T need it!

When fighting hard bosses or the Organization members, this stupid and worthless from decides to show up, screwing up the game for me. This wasn't a thing that would usually happen' a lot in previous Kingdom Hearts games liek the original and the Final Mix one for the PS2.

 

How can I avoid it?

Use Final Form several times. Final form reduces the chances of Anti-Form happening. So if you do that, it will reduce Antiform.

 

Also do not use Two Becomes One, it makes every form (except Final) become Anti-Form.

Anti Form is all controlled by Anti Points. The more Anti Points, the bigger the chance of going into Anti. Anti Points are increased by using drives. The only thing you can do is to not use Drives as much. Final Form reduces Anti Points.

Suggestion: Level forms to max at current possible (About level 6) and meanwhile, just wait till Anti-form shows up naturally then. It subtracts from the antipoint score, lowering your overall chance of having it actually happen again. It's only temporary, as the more forms you use, the faster it rebuilds, but in general until you have Final, this is sort of the only way I know how.

I am trying to level up each form as best as I can. I can already do things that I couldn''t before in my previous playtroughs on Kingdom Hearts.

 

I still can't find a perfect spot for Master... I try Land of the Dragons, but having to get in and out of that world takes forever...

Anti-Form appears randomly, so it's not your fault. X3. I did remember reading somewhere that Nomura implemented the Anti-Form as a punishment for relying heavily on Drive Forms, so don't use Drive Forms that much, lol.

Well I think your talking about the data organization 13, not the ones in the cave of remembrance. IN that case you just have to fight without going into your forms. Because for larxene every time I tried a form it would always be anti so I just stopped using them.

I don't know if PS2 KH2FM was any different, but I think you may have just gotten lucky; Anti Form is a way to nerf Drive Forms to keep them from being op, it's make sense that it would occur more often in boss battles that are intended to be super challenging.

Not quite true. Anti Form and WRECK certain bosses, for example, I got Anti Form during the Saix boss, and managed to combo lock him for the duration of the drive gauge, DESPITE Saix having a full berserk gauge. He's a glass cannon, but anti form can be useful

I believe it's specifically the story mode bosses that increase your chances. Kinda like how certain bosses can trigger a save from Mickey

When I didn't use anti-form when I was so close for beating Xaldin I had the auto drive abilitys on.

It was like the third time for I finally noticed it then I beated him.

Anti-Form is based on hidden anti-points. Every time you use Valor, Wisdom or Master form, the point goes up. I believe it gets much higher when you're fighting the organization. It's around 10 points or something for it to activate. Final form entirely resets the points, though.

Well, for some people it's their first experience, or their first RE-experience in ten years. Understandable that not everybody is up to speed on the mechanics.That said, the information on how it works is definitely out there. KHWiki's page has a good page detailing the point values and what your likelihood of encountering it is. It can be a pain sometimes, but once you get Final Form, it's smooth sailing from then on out.

Wanna know why Anti Form appears when you Drive?

 

Here's the breakdown:

 

> Using Valor, Wisdom, Limit, or Master Form: +1 Anti Point

> Using Anti Form: -4 Anti Points

> Using Final Form: -10 Anti Points

> Get a new Form: reset Anti Points to 0

 

Likelihood of Anti Form:

> 0-5 Anti Points: 0%

> 6-10 Anti Points: 10%

> 11+: 25%

 

Multipliers:

> Scripted Battles: x2

> Battles with non-party allies (Leon, Hercules, etc.): x0

> Organization XIII: x4

> Armored Xemnas: x10

 

Note: You cannot trigger Anti Form if:

- you're not in a battle (Command Menu is blue and not yellow or red)

- it's a solo battle

- you only have one party ally in battle (example: Sora & Riku vs Final Xemnas)

- you have two party allies, but one or both of them are KO'd

 

So to answer your question: You keep getting Anti Form because you've used Drives a LOT.

Just go to the place when you need Wisdom form's abilitiy at level 2 to continue, enter master form, damage the orbs that give you drive orbs, go to the previous room, die. Every time you do this, you get somthing like 60 points for master.

Just go to the place when you need Wisdom form's abilitiy at level 2 to continue, enter master form, damage the orbs that give you drive orbs, go to the previous room, die. Every time you do this, you get somthing like 60 points for master.

I can think of another place that is possibly more optimal for Leveling Up Master Form.

First, have Sweet Memories and Damage Converter equipped, and also have Follow the Wind equipped on Master. Also, have all of your Jackpot abilities equipped.

 

Go to Yen Sid's Tower and go to the room with the Gamblers.

 

Spam mini-games. Normally, they drop lots of Munny, but with Drive Converter, most of the Munny becomes Drive Orbs. (You can also do this without any Drive Converters equipped to farm Munny easily.)

Yeah, this is the best. You can just do my suggetion more faster in the game, and both are really fast anyways. Really, 2FM made the hardest form to level up into the easiest.
