Who's got a PS4 or Xbox One?

PC isn't a video game console. Sony use it in their marketing.

It plays video games so it's technicallly one also there are some PCs that are built specifically for gaming

 

and even if it's not a video game console it's still more powerful

Smartphones and tablets are still evolving, so who knows, maybe one day smartphones and tablets can be oriented for advanced gaming only.

 

I'm aware that it has some ports, and most of the games are like Candy Crush and all of that (Which is more like casual gaming), but like I said who knows, maybe one day there'll be digital releases for advanced games for the PS4, XBox One, and for Smartphones and tablets all at the same time

I've only got a Wii U right now. I may get either an Xbox or a PS4 (Same price, same games - doesn't make a difference to me) late this year.

But they're about to be! Better to get the PS4 set up in advance and ready for these amazing experiences only possible on the most powerful console in the world.

So why not wait until they're out and THEN buy the 500 dollar hunk of plastic? With any luck it might even go down in price

I got a PS4. Sits next to the Wii U.

 

I got the PS4 as a Christmas gift, more games will eventually come out (I'm waiting for FF Type-0 which is only 2 months away). Personally, I got Dragon Age Inquisition for it and I'm glad because I heard the PS3 version was terrible. Much to some peoples surprise there are actually games on the PS4/X1, ok they can also be bought on PC in some cases, but not everyone wants to do that. The way I look at it, I now don't have to worry about not having money later down the line for a system and I can just pick up the games.

In the same way that if you use a PS2 primarily as a DVD player it ceases to be a gaming console, if you use yoir phone or computer for gaming, they have become a console for your gaming

Honestly, a PC for the same price as a PS4 would probably be a fair bit more powerful

 

and honestly I consider phones the new form of arcades, simple games, generally designed with kids in mind. High skill ceiling, designed to steal your money. It's practically identical

I plan on getting a PS4 when the games I'm actually interested in are released. I don't want an expensive paperweight. Luckily, DQH is being released in Japan soon, so there's one game I was looking forward to. Still probably going to wait until either late this year or next year at the absolute earliest, though. I consider the Wii U to have been a much better console to suit my interests, so I've had one for over a year. I just got my PS3 last summer, so I'd like to catch up with its library without a new system breathing down my neck.

I'm on the same boat on waiting to purchase a PS4 till there are games I want. I also want to wait on a price reduction, which is bound to happen. (Next year at least.)

Yeah, I know that. I'm just considering putting it off until I get a PS4, since I plan on getting one at some point in the future anyway. Especially since I was considering importing a Metal Slime PS4 if I can find a cheap offer (I've found some prices that, unless I'm mistaken, aren't far off from buying a new one at a store), I think I'll probably just wait on it.

Ummm, check. There's an option right there for if you prefer PC and/or Wii U. This question was only for PS4 & Xbox One because they're so similar. I'm not discussing a certain generation simply two similar devices.

Got an XB1 last November. My main reasons being:

 

A. Preferred the exclusives over PS4's

B. The holiday price drop

C. KH3 will be on it

& most important of all, D. If there's to ever be a new Banjo Kazooie, it can only be on XBox platforms. Even if this is just a maybe & not a sure thing, B-K is just too near & dear to my heart to give up on.

I have a PS4, although there honestly aren't a very good variety of games out for it. Even the exclusives aren't anything amazing. Same can be said for Xbox while it's exclusives are far too worse.

 

All I have is Metal Gear Ground Zeroes, Last of Us Remastered, Little Big Planet 3, and Destiny. Can't wait for Metal Gear Solid V to come out, and of course, Kingdom Hearts 3. Those two games will make me use the console 100x more. I only use it to play LBP3 and Destiny every now and then. Already beat the other two games. I still play my PS3 more due to the Kingdom Hearts Collections, and the other more better games I have on it like Red Dead (I still haven't beaten the Undead Nightmare part yet), and classics like MGS4. Keeping the PS3 really takes the point out of the stupid PS Now thing.
