EternalReckoning 1,135 Posted December 28, 2014 (edited) The frame rate in bbs 2.5? I turned kh bbs on for the first time today, and while i was amazed by the graphics and increased sound quality something seemed off, for the first minute or so when a cutscene starts or when i enter a new area the game seems to become choppy and skip frames, not to an unplayable level but it does effect the games fluidity. Was just wondering if it was normal, or if i need to get my ps3 checked out possibly. It has crossed my mind that its the same thing as d-link, because 2fm seems fine : P Edited December 28, 2014 by EternalReckoning
Sora96 17,256 Posted December 28, 2014 I did notice the fps drop a couple of times early, and long loading times for drive forms and D-Links are common.
Drones 58 Posted December 28, 2014 (edited) I'm pretty sure Square Enix did a half-ass port, the frame rate drops whenever you open chests, switch party members, use drive forms and d-links, and at many times for no apparent reason. The reason behind this is: they don't care. They had over a year to fix this. Edited December 28, 2014 by Drones
hatok 6,413 Posted December 28, 2014 There is some lag, yeah, but it's nothing compared to the PSP version. Slideshow framerates in the Mirage Arena made that world way harder than it needed to be On 12/28/2014 at 3:16 AM, Drones said: I'm pretty sure Square Enix did a half-ass port, the frame rate drops whenever you open chests, switch party members, use drive forms and d-links, and at many times for no apparent reason. The only benefit of it is transforming is now an invincibility frame and I can use it to dodge hard attacks and regen full health.

Plenty of us don't actually notice (or weren't affected) and still find the game playable and enjoyable. I only saw a few frame rate drops here and there, and never enough to affect the way the game is played. The biggest offender for me was Starry Hill, which was incredibly choppy for some reason (odd, since it's one of the simplest areas of the game =P). Aside from that, just some long loads for drive forms and things. 1 keyofdestiny reacted to this

And mine always drops framerates when I open chests and 20% of the time I enter a room. Edited December 29, 2014 by Drones
BlankShell 638 Posted December 29, 2014 Not I, but I hear those things are sometimes better on an old phat PS3, so maybe it's a good thing I didn't replace it~
Ventus_ 396 Posted December 30, 2014 The only glitch I have experienced so far is that sometimes when I open a chest the screen freezes for a split second before revealing the prize.
King_Graham 135 Posted December 31, 2014 I'm used to worse ports than this, so it doesn't bother me.
