Ultimosora 159 Posted December 26, 2014 I was happy with pretty much all of the presents that I got for Christmas, but there was a little mishap on which game I wanted. During the holiday season I told my mom that if I were to get a video games for my 3ds, it would be pokemon. I then told her that I wanted either Pokemon X, (specifically) or either game for ORAS. Christmas day came and one of the presents I got was the exact shape and size of a 3ds game, I was so excited to finally get another pokemon game. I tore off the wrapping paper only to be in shock at the sight of... Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity(I don't like that series) When my family saw the disappointed expression on my face they asked if that was the game I wanted and I told them that it was very different. Since it was Christmas Eve and my local Wal-Mart was closed I had to wait until today to return the game. (It took me forever to get Smash 3d and I only have Pokemon Soulsilver) I was looking forward to playing pokemon on Christmas day. Now the day has come, but I am conflicted to choose between Pokemon X, or Either ORAS game. On one hand I have gen 1 starters, Mewtwo, electric guitars, and a new experience I have know idea about. On the other hand I have the option to battle my friends while they still wouldn't be OP, gen 2,4, and 5 starters, (I have know idea how to get them though) improved gameplay, lots of legendaries, and trumpets. I am so confused if I should get X to have a blind experience with my dream pokemon team (Greninja,Charizard,Mewtwo,Cubone,Kalos legendary, and some generic kalos pokemon) or relive an improved experience and be able to battle my friends. Tell me what you guys think I should get, and please respond, I really need an answer.

I say get Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire just because there is so much more to do in it. and Most likely they'll make a updated version of X and Y so just wait for the updated versions of those okay? Moni_22 335 Posted December 26, 2014 Mmm... I don't know, ORAS is not that good for me, it's an improvement from XY, but not that much, and you have to count that it's a remake. If it was for me I'd chose XY, just because it's something you've never seen before. Not the best Pokémon game, but it was pretty good. Plus, if it is for friends, you can battle anyone in XY with the PSS, I just played a bit the other day after some months and I still enjoyed it quite a bit, and I've been playing almost 350 hours! OmegaForte 1,674 Posted December 26, 2014 ORAS. Besides chances are the next updated version of XY will be late 2015. Besides XY was a disappointment that part of it's story could have been told in ORAS's story. The plot isn't even all that great anyways, so it would feel just like previous games. (I also say that because there's barley any new Pokemon to begin with) 1 Blaze27 reacted to this
Jilly Shears 2,144 Posted December 26, 2014 ORAS is far better than XY by far. Don't even bother with that trash. lol
Shulk 8,623 Posted December 26, 2014 I'd say OR/AS. I love X/Y, but OR/AS is a major improvement from what I've played so far. X/Y had a decent transition to 3D, but OR/AS polished that engine a lot and made it much more enjoyable. Not to mention we might get a Z Version next year. AuraAce 1,126 Posted December 26, 2014 ORAS Anyday of the week. X/Y has nothing on ORAS.
VisitJoan 2,713 Posted December 26, 2014 I'm sorry that happened. No offense to your family, but I'm a little confused at how one can confuse X, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire with mystery dungeon. I mean the title of the game is right there on the box.
KH4Real 749 Posted December 27, 2014 You better get it before the shiny beldum event ends.
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted December 27, 2014 Well, since I haven't played Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire yet, I can't talk about that game, but since it's basically a remake of the Hoenn Region games, I'd definitely recommend that, but since I don't own the game yet, I can't talk about any of the features, but what I can tell you is about X/Y. You see, when I got Pokemon White, I played through the game, and there was just something about the game that made me lose faith in the Pokemon series. But, as I started seeing news on Pokemon X/Y, I started to get intrigued about the game, and after learning more about it, I got excited, and well, when I finally got the game, it blew me away! The game reaffirmed my faith in Pokemon, because of all the amazing improvements! The story was great, the new Pokemon were far better than Unova's Pokemon, and you could finally customize your trainer! Literally, you could customize your trainer's hair, clothes, eyes, glasses, bags and shoes! This is how you could finally see everyone online differently! No longer did you have to see an exact carbon copy of your Pokemon trainer, because everyone else had customized trainers that looked so different! And let me say that Mega Evolutions were the bomb as well! In short, X/Y is pretty badass. I'll probably tell you a different story once I get Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, since the Hoenn Region is my favorite out of all the regions in the series, but for now, I'll tell you to get X/Y. Tails 6,690 Posted December 27, 2014 Pokemon OR/AS, no doubt. it has an improved engine from X&Y.
