Weedanort 8,786 Posted December 26, 2014 I wouldn''t say ruin the franchise, they just give a bad image to the name, and those games just suck big time *AHEM Spyro The Dragon: Every game starting from Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly Seriously people, Spyro went downhill from there. The Legend Of Spyro games have their good stuff, but Spyro got pretty bad after its jump to the PS2. Sonic The Hedgehog: Starting from Shadow The Hedgehog, to Rise Of Lyric, with the exception of Unleashed, Generations, and Colors Oh Jesus, Sonic got really butchered in this century .-. Sonic Heroes ain't that bad, the controls are... Meh. Unleashed, Colors, and Generations are the only titles you should really play from nowadays's Sonic games. Don't torture yourself with everything else. I am talking about mainstream Sonic games here, so I ain't talking about spin offs. There are some good spin offs though. Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days Why did this game had to be on the Nintendo DS? I'd rather stick with the manga, and not have the gameplay Midnight Club: Midnight Club: Los Angeles Did they seriously had to follow Midnight Club 3's formula? The second game had the best formula, and they should have kept with that 1 Exiblade7 reacted to this
Clouded Sun 1,232 Posted December 28, 2014 Here comes the Final Fantasy XIII hate. I agree with Blue. No game truly demolishes a series. XIII in my opinion was a nice game, but that game truly alienated Final Fantasy fans for the first time.

Sorarocks93 678 Posted December 29, 2014 Don't forget about VIII. So basically everything after VI is an utter failure?
Shulk 8,623 Posted December 29, 2014 I wouldn't necessarily say "ruined," but I can name games that noted when the franchise went downhill/really low points for that franchise: Kingdom Hearts- 358/2 Days: I know a lot of fans love this one, but honestly, it wasn't very enjoyable at all to me. Between the repetitive missions and the boring storyline that constantly repeated the same conflicts and issues, this game just bores me. Final Fantasy- VIII and XII: Went with two games here, because honestly, I couldn't find either one remotely enjoyable. VIII's draw system was a major downgrade from the typical magic system in FF games, and the junction system was just frustrating. Squall is one of the most unlikable protagonists I've seen in a game, and the rest of the cast didn't help either. As for XII, I didn't like that the gambit system practically made the game play itself. Vaan was also really annoying, and completely pointless after Balthier joined in (I played this for 15-20 hours before quitting, so it's possible that he became important later on, but the experience was so bad that I just didn't want to continue). Crash Bandicoot- Crash of the Titans: I only played a little bit of this one, but it was pretty clear that Crash was dead when I played this game. The gameplay was completely different at this point, the new character designs were painful to look at, and it was just clear that there was a massive drop in quality at this point. I still have hopes that the series will be taken back up by Naughty Dog or some other talented developer once again, but that hope's starting to diminish. Those are just a few I could think of off the top of my head. 3 Sendou Aichi, Firaga and bit reacted to this
bit 944 Posted December 29, 2014 Welcome to KH13, where one or two bad apples are unescusable and ruin entire franchises while I don't really think that games can ruin franchises no matter how bad they are, some games that I believe should have never been released come to mind Spyro the Dragon: Everything after Spyro 3 Crash Bandicoot: everything after CTR with the exception of Twinsanity and maybe Tag Team Racing Sonic: Pretty much after Sonic 3 & Knuckles Earthworm Jim: The bad one Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts which I dont even think is a bad game tbh, but the fact that it was released as a BK game just hurts my little ol heart. Star Fox: Everything after Star Fox
Exiblade7 1,917 Posted December 29, 2014 Don't blame me for saying that some games kill franchises. It was the youtube video that made me thought it was true.I should have that not ALL youtube videos are credible.
Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted February 6, 2015 While I personally enjoyed it, objectively based on evidence I have to sayJak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier. The evidence:The end set itself up for a sequel that never cameNo new Jak games have been made since (the HD collections don't count as "new" anymore than 1.5 or 2.5 do for KH, a remaster is not a new game)There was a concept for either a Jak and Daxter reboot or a Jak 4, or possibly even a TLA sequel but the project was scrapped.
