Setrex 1,031 Posted December 25, 2014 It did suck not being able to log into PSN, but that didn't stop me from enjoying my PS4. Hopefully the servers are up and running soon though. 1 Blaze27 reacted to this
advfox 698 Posted December 25, 2014 I couldn't care less whether I were to have online access or not. I'd just be happy to have the console. Either way, a couple of days (or however long it takes) without PSN/Xbox Live isn't that big of a deal.
Jim 2,990 Posted December 25, 2014 Didn't affect me that much, since I was able to play Far Cry 4. But still, it makes me so mad that people would do that. They probably ruined a lot of people's days today.

Aang 649 Posted December 26, 2014 PSN was working for me last night. Yes, but most of the outages came around 10 hours ago. 1 Aqua7KH reacted to this
Caity 3,946 Posted December 26, 2014 What the firetruck does the lizard squad hope to accomplish with this???!!! they really make me sick... Lizard Squad doesn't try to accomplish or promote any agenda with their activities, they're literally a group who just hack stuff to annoy people, they're essentially trolls with hacking skills. Blaze27 40 Posted December 26, 2014 I know I just got my PS4 today and I got the free game to pick; I was going to pick Destiny and I can't even go on the PSN WHY do people have to ruin everything for everyone!?
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted December 26, 2014 PSN is STILL down. I don't know about XBox Live, I head they have connection today. Also apparently PS3 users have connection. It's mainly the PS4 that's getting hit badly. I'm extremely upset by this, because all I want to do is enjoy my Christmas present and play freaking Destiny over my vacation. I don't have vacation forever, and I would like to relieve my school stress by hanging out playing games with friends while it's freezing outside. It's ridiculos that these group of idiots are doing something like this, even if they only play a small part of it. It's not even the fact that it's a video game. It's the fact that they turned XBox One and PS4 into literal bricks for those who only have multiplayer games like Destiny. I got Destiny yesterday with my PS4 and I'm lucky I had a PS4 copy of Assassin's Creed 4 or else I wouldn't be able to do ANYTHING on the PS4. They have nothing else better to do with their lives other than to waste their talent by ruining everyone else's fun and excitement. 2 Blaze27 and AaySquare reacted to this
Setrex 1,031 Posted December 26, 2014 (edited) I managed to log into PSN on both my PS3 and Vita, but it still didn't work on the PS4. Haven't tried in a few hours but I hear it's still down. Edited December 26, 2014 by KHSoraKeyBlade

Blaze27 40 Posted December 26, 2014 (edited) it's not the end of the world guys. Sure this is upsetting but I can wait I have other things I can be doing instead of waiting for news. It seems that Sony might be giving us a free game or two or free Plus membership again like the 2011 attack. I'm not sure what evidence there is to support that aside from the fact that it happened before. There aren't any signs it will happen again this time. Well I logged in on my PS4 and watch a guy streaming from Battlefield 4 and he said he called Sony and if it takes to long Sony might be giving us a reward for the trouble. BlankShell 638 Posted December 27, 2014 They gave out games in 2011 because that was an actual hack, where people lost things like personal data and credit card info. This is not a "hack" in any sense, it's just a DDOS (as far as we've been told/can tell). Chalk one up for offline gaming, I suppose. I do like things digital, so it's a bummer. At least I downloaded things beforehand.
Drones 58 Posted December 27, 2014 If you're like me and got a awesome new PS4 for Christmas, you'll probably be freaking out right now because you can't connect online. Just to let you all know, a hacker group known as Lizard Squad hacked into PSN and Xbox Live. So now both servers are down and it's impossible to connect online. Figures a bunch of jerks would ruin Christmas.Read Here: http://www.businessinsider.com/playstation-network-and-xbox-live-are-down-and-the-notorious-hacker-gang-lizard-squad-is-taking-credit-2014-12 *sigh* It's not a hack and they are not related to hackers in any shape of form. They are script kiddies using the sub-domain host http://www.voxility.com which is known for allowing DDoS attacks. Hackers are the people that tapped into credit cards and stole shitloads of money in 2011 and got prosecuted. DDoS is legal unless it harms the well being of people, like at a medical facility, according to my friend. They've been doing this for months, they just wished today would be their five seconds of fame (which came true on the news). Yeah, that sucks. Anyone know how long it takes Sony and Microsoft to fix this usually? They can't do much to fix it honestly. Sure they can mitigate incoming junk packets better, they can also make the servers larger, but I'm sure they can still be overloaded with junk packets. They hope to simply achieve fame. They have nothing else to do in their crappy lives Lizard Squad consists of 18-30 year old pedophiles, rapist, child molesters, and basement dwellers. Proof of this is their knowledge of Tor which is a dark net protocol where they jack off to child pornography... they know that is where they belong. So yes, they do in fact have shitty lives. Not saying this is the reason for sure... But it could also just be that the amount of people accessing PSN/Xbox Live with their new systems was too much for the servers to handle and they went down, and this group is taking credit for it. The Nintendo Network was down for two days last Christmas because of server overloads. They were DDoSing or at least trying to the day before Christmas... Some pieces of shit really wanted to take down the server to mess up people's holiday and jeopardize security. They could use their talents for something better. I wanted to play XBONE today, but that is not the case. Using someone's script is not a talent. Anyone with down syndrome can do that..

The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted December 27, 2014 Apparently this also affects PS3's, because I haven't been able to connect to my PSN account all day. No wonder I wasn't able to get into my account! And here I thought that my internet router was going nuts! Damn, this is irritating! Those hackers apparently have nothing else to do. I feel bad for all those PS4/XBox One owners who can't access PSN/XBox Live. I hope this situation is resolved soon.
