Shulk 8,623 Posted December 23, 2014 Yeah, same here. It also made the Nibelheim Incident far less dumb that it was in the original VII. I honestly don't remember the difference too well, since it's been ages since I last played either game. I remember enjoying it a lot more in Crisis Core, though. hatok 6,413 Posted December 23, 2014 Crisis Core's story is great it made me retroactiveyl sad for Aeris dying by making Aerith an actual fun character 1 Sendou Aichi reacted to this

As for the diffrence: -Genesis appearence there, telling him he has Jenova S class, and that he was born a monster- it pretty much inspired Sephiroth to read up on the Jenova Project. -The fact the 2 of his best friends who were both 1st like Sephiroth were kind of turned into a monster It makes much sense why Sephiroth changed to be evil only because something that may be true, however because Angeal and Genesis there is much more reason why sephiroth thought to be true. While in FFVII, it looked like Sephiroth became evil only because a possibility. Edited December 23, 2014 by Darth Hydra

Clouded Sun 1,232 Posted December 25, 2014 I'm also concerned about the gameplay. In my opinion, FF games haven't had good gameplay since IX, and I'm worried this will be the same. I mean, I don't mind action-oriented games, but... Holding the button to do combos? Dodging takes MP? That just sounds ridiculous. The only way I'll get this game is if it goes down to like $20 used, but still, this is really disappointing.I've never seen anyone say that about the gameplay in KHII, only that it relied too much on button-mashing. It's still fun, and I've never seen anyone say otherwise. That's too bad.
Clouded Sun 1,232 Posted December 25, 2014 (edited) Oh, yeah. That made a lot more sense.I also find it interesting that you guys believe Crisis Core will already be better than FFXV but that too has button mashing. Ever tried to do a combo with the attack button? Not only that, but you guys seem to talk more about Crisis Core's story more than the gameplay. Where's the combat was the main concern of FFXV. We need a little more information to pass judgement for the story. I love Crisis Core and think it's the best Final Fantasy ever. I'm just saying that you should at least give a couple more games a chance, or at least watch walkthroughs. It's not so extremely bad that you gotta wait till it's cheap. At least, in my opinion. But, like Tails said, it's just my opinion. You don't have to change. Edited December 25, 2014 by Sun Wukong

Also, you're forgetting that FFXV won't even be a button masher: It's a button holder. Which is far worse in my opinion. I can still enjoy button mashing in cases like Crisis Core or KH. I don't want to have to hold down a button to do absolutely every combo possible. We weren't even comparing Crisis Core's story to this. We were comparing CC to the original VII. And I prefer CC's gameplay over the story. Need to give a couple more games a chance? The only main series, non-MMO FF games I haven't played at least a demo for are XIII and Lightning Returns, and that's because I know for sure I wouldn't enjoy them (Didn't like XIII-2's demo, and LR is too fanservicey for me, not to mention I don't like Lightning from the videos I've seen and Dissidia). I don't need to give more games a chance. I've played more than Crisis Core. And honestly, I'm not that interested in XV. I fail to see why everyone thinks that's some horrible crime that makes me a lesser person. Every time I mention that, someone gets on my case for it like I personally insulted them. It's just a game, it won't be the end of the world if one person doesn't care that much about it. 1 Sendou Aichi reacted to this

Didn't say you were a horrible person at all, Shulk. It's your life and your money, and you can choose where to place them both.
Sorarocks93 678 Posted December 25, 2014 Agree about the button holder thing. This is literally the same concept as XIII's auto battle. Only difference is one is turn-based and the other action-based. I just hope it has an awesome story to go with it.
