Firaga 5,947 Posted December 22, 2014 We don't really do things like this in the forum too often, so I figured I'd throw this out there. Also because of the fact that I'm replaying 1FM right now. lol So, basically yeah: I'm gonna list my top 10 favorite Keyblades from Kingdom Hearts or Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. The rules are: there are no rules. I'm not gonna pick based on stats or effects or any of that nonsense because a) if that were the case, Ultima Weapon would obviously get the top spot, and that's boring and b) I'm picking the ones I like because of how they look, how they play for me, and just based off my experience using them while playing the game. Anyways, here they are: 10. Kingdom Key (I had to go with this solely on the fact that its the most iconic of not only his game, but in every other Kingdom Hearts game as well. Still, it's obviously super bland compared to the others on this list, so it gets the last spot.) 9. Lady Luck (I never used this quite often, but whenever I was going through certain battles where I needed a ton of magic, I looked to Lady Luck to guide me, which is probably why it takes you so long to get it even though you can find it in the second world you visit.) 8. Fairy Harp (Despite its super short reach, I can still pull off a lot of damage with this one. Though, its not too often that I do; its usually just when I feel like pulling off a bunch of criticals.) 7. Three Wishes (I like this one mostly because of the coloring and design. It's vibrant, and it really shows that its a weapon inspired by Agrabah.) 6. Crabclaw (I have fond memories of using this sleek, bright blue weapon with the crab as the teeth in the dark, gloomy Halloween Town right after I got it. Good times. I always just found it slightly hilarious to be using a weapon like that in a world like that.) 5. Lionheart (The teeth and keychain look like lion heads. 'Nuff said.) 4. Jungle King (The first Keyblade you get in the game sans the Kingdom Key. I always find it satisfying to receive this after I clear Deep Jungle. With its thrown together yet well crafted design, I feel like the king of the apes when I whip this bad boy out.) 3. Pumpkinhead (The most metal looking weapon in the entire game, complete with gothic black designs and a nice little jack-o-latern at the end for a keychain. Just using it makes you feel like you're gonna rain down Hell on earth.) 2. Divine Rose (While somewhat girly in design, it's still effective, and I can always rely on it for most of the harder stuff I have to do later on in the game. Plus I find it funny that I get to smack people around with a rosebud.) 1. Olympia (Easily my favorite due to its raw power and awesome design. It's also one of the more bulky blades in the entire game, so I feel like a beast when I swing it around and kick the crap out of enemies.) Feel free to leave your own top 10 lists below. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
BlankShell 638 Posted December 22, 2014 Are we talking design or usability? With 1 being the best: 1. Ultima: Straight up fun, fun to collect (I didn't mind the material grinding as much as everybody else apparently?) and stupidly useful. 2. Kingdom Key: Having had to do an unchanging armor trophy run, I quite enjoyed using it. 3. Jungle King: For a first Keyblade, it doesn't disappoint. 4. Metal Chocobo: Because Chocobo. 5. One Winged Angel: Very cool and simplistic in design, although it's a bummer that it'll likely be one of the last ones you collect =P 6. Divine Rose: It's dopey to look at (which makes it a bummer when it's the Keyblade you invariably beat the game with) but it's got power. 7. Oathkeeper: Sadly outclassed, but handy all the same, and with a fun design. 8. Oblivion: Same reason 9. Spellbinder: A fun token for your work in collecting spells and such, although not super useful. 10. Lady Luck: Handy to have around, and with an appropriate design. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
RoxSox 3,593 Posted December 22, 2014 I'm only go to list the keyblades that only ever appeared in KH1/coded/COM. Doesn't seem fair to list ones like the Kingdom Key and Oathkeeper when those would obviously get the top billing. Least to most... 10. Ultima Weapon. Getting this one out of the way first. 9. Spellbinder. By the time you get this keyblade, it is is absolutely worthless. But I've always had a love for the design. 8. Three Wishes. Not a bad key, and a fair sight better looking than some of the other choices. 7. Fairy Harp. No one gives Fairy Harp enough credit. I mean, it's terrible, and I hate the design, but I feel bad for it because I feel everybody hates it as well. 6. Diamond Dust. I hate the functionality of this keyblade but I do enjoy the design. 5. One Winged Angel. I hate the functionality of this keyblade too, actually, it's pretty worthless since you probably have Ultima by the time you've beaten Sephy, but damn the design is badasss. 4. Jungle King. I have a soft spot for this key, mostly because we've never seen and will never see it again... 3. Lionheart. This keyblade is firetrucking badass. Amazingly, it's beaten by it's successor, Sleeping Lion in KH2. 2. Metal Chocobo. It's a keyblade with a chocobo for a chain and it resembles the buster sword... how was it ever not going to be in the top 3? 1. Pumpkinhead. I love Halloween Town. I love how this Keyblade looks. It is badass. 3 PillowHead, Zola and The Transcendent Key reacted to this

Weedanort 8,786 Posted December 22, 2014 10: Kingdom Key Just... WHY IS IT TO USELESS 9: Metal Chocobo I agree, its length is useful in a certain Winnie The Pooh mini game, but otherwise, the loss of 1 MP, and the fact that it doesn't counter s*** just makes it worse for me. 8: Jungle King Useful until you get Three Wishes, after that never use it again 7: Fairy Harp I honestly only use it on Hercules Cup, until I get Olympia 6: Spellbinder A very useful Keyblade, until you get Lady Luck, if you're going for a Magic run 5: Olympia If it wasn't for Divine Rose, this would be higher up. EAT YOUR HEART OUT RIKU/ANSEM 4: Lady Luck This Keyblade is damn useful if you don't have Diamond Dust yet. it's just that awesome 3: Divine Rose Best physical Keyblade, until you get Ultima Weapon. Despite its short reach, it's really cool 2: ULTIMA WEAPON YES, I'm putting Ultima Weapon in second. It may be the best Keyblade in the game, but it doesn't make up for the fact that it's super hard to create it 1: Diamond Dust I call it, Diamond Dust, for me, is the best damn Keyblade in the entire game. Sure, it has the same strenght as Kingdom Key, but in therms of Magic, it'ss just as destructive as Ultima Weapon, and it looks wicked cool to wield, and attack with 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this

The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted December 23, 2014 (edited) Okay, here are my top ten Keyblades! 10-Three Wishes: This is a great Keyblade, and I always dealt a lot of damage to the Heartless with this particular key. Plus, it's a simple design. 9-Olympia: This one's a powerhouse and very useful! 8-Lionheart: I love the beautiful design this Keyblade has, not to mention its power! 7-Divine Rose: I'd always equip this Keyblade because of its potential to deal a string of critical blows. Even though it has short reach, it's pretty good! 6-Pumpkinhead: Obtaining this Keyblade is exciting, and its design perfectly matches its name, and it's black, my favorite color! 5-Metal Chocobo: I think this is the longest reaching Keyblade in the game, if I'm not mistaken. It is so good, and very powerful! 4-Oblivion: It symbolizes the darkness, and it has one hell of a design, and it has tremendous strength! 3-Oathkeeper: This Keyblade means a lot to me, and I also like its beautiful design, and it symbolizes the light! This is a reminder of promises made. 2-Kingdom Key: It's the classic Keyblade, so what's not to love about it? 1-Ultima Weapon: This is the hardest Keyblade to obtain, but grinding the materials to make it is so worth it, because it's the most powerful Keyblade in the entire game! But boy, all the Pink Agaricuses I had to go through to make this Keyblade.... So yeah, those are my top ten! Aru Akise 2,540 Posted December 23, 2014 Ok, the list according to my preferences. 10 - Ultima Weapon: Yeah, I don't like one of the most powerful Keyblades that much. It's a matter of compability. Mine and hers are not good. 9 - Spellbinder: I like the criteria to obtain it. Also, tons of magic. 8 - Three Wishes: Long Reach, good strength. 7 - Crabclaw: Long reach, good strength and magic power. I dislike the design tho. 6 - Fairy Harp: A quite powerful and nice Keyblade. 5 - One Winged Angel: Masamune in Keyblade form. 4 - Pumpikinhead: Long Reach, great strength and critical strike. I also love its design out of the other Keyblades. 3 - Kingdom Key: Why is it so high up in the ranking? Because I sometimes forget to change its Keychain once I start the game and have fun with it for a pretty long time until I feel like the enemies are getting too strong. 2 - Oblivion: I love having to sacrifice magic power in excahnge for raw strength. Also, the Design. 1 - Oathkeeper: Kairi and Sora's love memento.
Dave 5,715 Posted December 25, 2014 10. Metal Chocobo. This one always feels almost like a letdown for me, because no sooner do you get it then you also get Olympia, which is much better, and it also loses you one MP, which is a big no no in my book. 9. Spellbinder. I like the magic boost on this one, which goes along with how I play the game, but if I can be petty, the design really, really just doesn't do anything for me. 8. Three Wishes. I like the look of this one, but its lack of real stat boosts make it kind of meh in the long run. 7. Jungle King. This one gets a nod if only because it's the first one you get after the Kingdom Key, and the feeling of switching up your keyblade and getting that minor stat boost always makes me happy. 6. Divine Rose. This one is similar to how I feel to Olympia (see below), but for some reason, the short range on this kind of throws me off my game. 5. Olympia. There is something satisfying about smacking people around with Olympia. Probably because it's more like a club than a blade, which I think is kind of cool. The only problem I have with it is that it takes so long to get, and by then, I usually have some of my other favorites at my disposal. 4. Crabclaw. While the look of this one is just okay, I like it because of the MP buffs, which helps me out a bit. 3. Pumpkinhead. I like this one because it carries you a long way, especially on your first playthrough of the game when you're probably doing a strength build, and you just need something to smash things with. 2. Lionheart. To be blunt, I just feel like a champ walking down the streets wielding this thing. No wonder Leon is so aloof: if I were carrying around a keyblade this sick, I'd be holier-than-thou too. 1. Lady Luck. All the MP. Not to mention it's general strength is still pretty decent. Also, I just love how it looks. There's something satisfying about delving into the End of the World and fighting off the Darkness using a bright pink key. 2 Weedanort and Zola reacted to this
Skhyatze 165 Posted December 27, 2014 10. Lionheart. Like the Design. 9. Jungle King. Replaces the Kingdom Key early game. Design is cool too. 8. Diamond Dust. Like the design 7. Kingdom Key. Always like using it late game. 6. Three Wishes. Like the design and it's little battle ability. 5. Oblivion. Good in the OG KH1. Bad in KHFM. 4. Olympia. Love the noise. Good to use until the next one 3. Divine Rose. So much fun 2. Metal Chocobo. Just love the design. 1. Ultima Weapon. This weapon is life. Best Ultima in the series. Getting it and using it is satisfying. Design is also sick.
Raphael Millon 87 Posted January 2, 2015 10 - Kingdom Key - Same here, it's iconic and it's beautiful in a simple way. 9 - Olympia - Really strong keyblade and the design it's Hercules' movie in a Keyblade, simply beautiful. 8 - Spellbinder - Awesome design for me. Also helped me A LOT when I get Staff playthrough. Extremely useful 7 - Diamond Dust - Design only. Useless for anything else. 6 - Lady Luck - Helped me a lot during the Staff gameplay (and to pick itens from the Pink Agaricus) 5 - Oathkeeper - Beautiful design and good magic 4 - Divine Rose - Ugly as hell, but extremely powerful. Got a place in my heart for the great help in Hollow Bastion 2/End of the World 3 - Pumpkin Head - Love the design. Metal, gothic, pure Halloween style. Also way more useful than Crabclaw. 2 - Oblivion - My favorite keyblade ever, but, isn't as strong as the motherfiretrucking Ultima. Unfortunately, I don't use it in my Staff playthrough 'cuz it takes out my MP. 1 - Ultima Weapon - ULTIMA WEAPON, THAT'S ALL. Amazing design and it's the most powerful Keyblade in the first game.
