Hearts Creed 142 Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) So, to those of you who are attempting/have already beaten Mushroom XIII, which mushrooms did you personally find the hardest? I actually just beat Mushroom XIII yesterday, and I'd say the one that gave me the most trouble was Mushroom No. 8 (the one at Yen Sid's tower). I honestly kind of felt like you just had to get lucky in getting all the hits in, as sometimes, they'd seem to drop at around 50 hits (when you need 85 or more). EDIT: oops, it appears I missed an "i" in the "mushroom xiii" tag. Sakuraba Neku 660 Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) Im still not focused in beat them. But that one I already did yesterday and It was easy. I equipped Sora with Berserk ability which gives u Infinite combos during MP charge. So i just used all my magic and did it. Psychic_Ketchup 367 Posted December 21, 2014 Most of them are pretty okay to beat, though I did read the wiki before attempting them. The one I was stuck on the longest was no. 8 as well, which in the end I beat by going Master form with Fenrir and Ultima Weapon (for the long range), berserking until my MP recharged and then Thundaga until I had enough points. Maybe I got lucky that one time, because I haven't been able to reproduce my score since.
HumbleGamer 76 Posted December 21, 2014 What I did for Mushroom Number 8 was put on Beserk charge/equip Fatal Crest if you don't have the ability yet. Then I went into Wisdom Form and started off with spamming thunder and then keep shooting the mushroom in the direction of the train. Honestly I didn't find the Mushroom XIII to be as difficult as I thought they'd be, although my friend did give me advice ahead of time on a couple of them so that may have made it easier than it should have been. I did exactly that and beat No. VIII the first time I tried this method. He still was the hardest for me, I actually spent an hour or two just trying to beat him. I still don't know how I came up with that idea on the spot but ironically that mushroom turned out to be the easiest for me.
Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted December 21, 2014 The one I found hardest was No. 3. I literally needed to get like 5 Draw abilities just to get enough orbs to win.
Jim 2,990 Posted December 21, 2014 Number 8 for sure. I hate how I can try the exact same strategy that guys on Youtube try, but it won't work for me. -__-
Hamza Akram 26 Posted December 21, 2014 the first 1st one i hated the reversal game
Cucco 1,907 Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) Number 8 for sure. I hate how I can try the exact same strategy that guys on Youtube try, but it won't work for me. -__- What I did (and got me 99 hits) is to equip fenrir as your main weapon and lionheart on master form. Equip berserk in your abilities before fighting him, and also unequip all combo/aerial plus and equip combo minus and then go into master form and use curaga to waste your mp. Now face towards the tower, start the fight and mash x until your arm hurts. Sometimes you can only get 5 hits in, but it mostly is based on luck and which direction you face when starting the fight. KH4Real 749 Posted December 21, 2014 By now I only beated the 12th they all are very hard. 3, 8 and 9 are really hard yeh I guess I'll ask a friend to beat them.
NO_HEART_XIII 312 Posted December 21, 2014 8 was annoying, I also had trouble with 9 for some reason.
-Roxas-XIII- 13 Posted December 21, 2014 Yeah, 8 is the hardest in my opinion. Although 10 is a close second for me. I've always been bad at the 'cup shuffling game'.
Skhyatze 165 Posted December 21, 2014 8. Only one I ever have a issue with. I am getting better at it now though.
BlankShell 638 Posted December 22, 2014 Haven't beaten any of them yet, although I'm just starting =P. I also haven't unlocked final form, which is supposed to make some of them actually possible.

Luckily getting Final Form in KH2FM is a lot easier, as when you equip Two Become One (from the Roxas battle), every time you use a drive form, you either turn into Final or Anti Form. Maybe some kind of glitch, or maybe I was in a particular set of circumstances.Regardless, it was suggested that I try using that but in the Cerberus Cup where I could just hit "restart" and I eventually got it =P.Also, I beat Number 8! Don't see why people say it's the hardest, it's the only one I've gotten.
clatter411 75 Posted December 23, 2014 The one that really gets to me is the one on the isle de Meyers in port royal. I think it's number X. I can't figure that one out for the life of me! I barely get any of it's health down before the time limit even when I guess right every time plus I'm level 99. Any advice would be very much welcome! If you want to get its health down fast, I'd use either Rumbling Rose or Decisive Pumpkin and unequip any Air Combo Plus and Combo Plus that you have equipped. TwoBecameOne 33 Posted December 24, 2014 I don't know why, the hardest for me was the one in the Underworld. I lost count of how many elixirs I wasted just to complete the challenge in time. As for number 8, he's hard because he flies away around 63-68 hits if I remember.
Matthew McGuire 0 Posted December 28, 2014 Yen Sid's was easy for me number XI was hell for me. You have to knock his counter down in under 19 seconds and I would constantly get 19 seconds and 10 milliseconds or 13 milliseconds. Finally beat it by pure luck alone. Weedanort 8,786 Posted December 28, 2014 I tried the one in Timeless River, as soon as I had all Combo Pluses, but I didn't get it
BlankShell 638 Posted December 28, 2014 I tried the one in Timeless River, as soon as I had all Combo Pluses, but I didn't get it You want Finishing Pluses, not Combo Pluses. I did it with three and Wisdom Form, although it could theoretically be done with two. Anyway, I'm stuck on No. IX. Damn thing just stops spinning even though I hit it. TwoBecameOne 33 Posted December 28, 2014 I tried the one in Timeless River, as soon as I had all Combo Pluses, but I didn't get it Critical Plus + Divine Rose. 17.30 first attempt, many Mushrooms are a matter of setup, not ability.

Anyway, I'm stuck on No. IX. Damn thing just stops spinning even though I hit it. Are you using the Berserk Charge strategy for this one? The simplest way to do it is by having Berserk Charge, healing, making sure you don't have any MP Hastes/Hasteras equipped, or any Keyblades/items with MP Charge equipped. Also make sure you have Horizontal Slash equipped. So heal at the beginning of the battle, jump and attack twice, and then just keep spamming Square until your MP is restored. I got 99 hits by doing that.
