Not that Imperialdramon. Dragon Mode, and it looks corrupted. 

I doubt we'll see Paladin Mode again because they want to original kids in the spotlight.

I forgot this thread existed.

 

I wonder if they'll use the same voice actor as the previous Rosemon. (Yoshino's Rosemon.) Still hyped nonetheless, especially on how Mimi and Palmon will achieve ultimate.

They won't. In the Japanese, they use the same VA for each evolution, for example, Chika Sakamoto voices Agumon, Greymon, MetalGreymon and WarGreymon, just digitally altered. All the original V.A.s returned as far as the Digimon go and there's no word on an official dub yet. So I would expect to hear a digitally altered Shiomi Mizowaki as Rosemon in tri.

What did you think of Ketsui? I just watched it today and wow, it totally exceeded my expectations. It's so much better than Saikai, at least in my opinion. I feel like they handled Mimi and Jou so much better than Taichi and Yamato, especially Mimi, she was just so herself here... Really liked what they did with Jou, too, and it's great to see he's finally joining the others. Plus, gomamon is precious as always. And other characters as well, although they really weren't the main focus here. I was afraid they'd ruin Sora completely, since the way she acted in Saikai was kinda dumb (constantly complaining about stuff etc), but now she acted more like herself again. Which was nice.

And I'm SO GLAD the onsen part wasn't as fanservice-y as it could've been... I've nothing against fanservice, but if it's put into something I've loved since kid, it really just feels out of place. But luckily it wasn't bad at all. I mostly had fun with the onsen part.

Though, I still don't like Meiko... Too mary sue. But I liked her interaction with Mimi.

 

Now we'll just have to wait for the next part... which will come out in september. Urgh, that cliffhanger is killing me. I want to know why everybody reacted so strangely at Ken (not shocked at all to see him as Kaiser, more like shocked to see him there), or why nobody brought up daisuke when they saw imperialdramon (despite clearly recognizing him). And I wanna know more about Himekawa, since it looks like she could in one way or another be be behind what's going on. Idk, I just want answers. x(

I'm sure we'll get more exposition on Meiko at some point, I mean, we don't even know what event led her to becoming DigiDestined yet. I wish they had made a bigger deal about them  their Crest powers back, since they had to give them up before 02. I'm really starting to feel like there was a timeline disruption with all the inconsistencies in their memories. Also, they said this infection was supposed to be new and original for tri but it really is starting to look like the X-Program.

Heyo Digi-Fans!

 

I gotta say....Tri is exceeding my expectations. The characters are becoming more in depth, the story is still mysterious as it is for me at least which is good, and the animation is so good! Ketsui was just beautiful to me. I loved that they focused more on Mimi and Joe which allowed us to learn more about them and put more depth in their personalities and feelings. Seeing Gomamon and Palmon evolve all the way to their Ultimate/Mega forms was awesome! And that twist at the end...

 

So. Many. Questions have risen.

So basically, I love Digimon Adventure Tri. Love what they're doing with it.

I'm really starting to feel like there was a timeline disruption with all the inconsistencies in their memories.

Yeah... Either the timeline got messed up somehow, or people's memories got wiped. I really hope they'll shed more light to this issue in Kokuhaku, maybe while they discuss what happened to Meicoomon.Btw, is anyone else hoping for a conclusion to the Dark Ocean storyarc from Digimon 02? Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but seeing Meiko's digivice turn black like Ken's, I started thinking that maybe they'll include it here. Or maybe it was just meant to indicate Meicoomon's infection... But it's okay to hope, right?

No wonder, since it was foreshadowed a lot in 02 but nothing really ever happened... It just sort of was there. Dark ocean was where Ken's digivice turned into D3, and where Hikari went in one of the earlier episodes. It's purpose was pretty much left in dark.

Overall a bit better than part 1 of Digimon Tri. I did feel as though they dragged too long/took up too much time on the slice of life aspect. Don't get me wrong I loved it (Mimi and Meiko cute >_<), but I wanted Vikemon+Rosemon vs. Imperialdramon DM/FM fight to last longer, as well as not just having Mimi have her moment so fast. It felt like they rushed the moment, but it was still nice. I got chills throughout the digivolutions, especially when Lilly and Mimi shout "We're not done yet!" I was like "Hell yeah!" The ending though... like wtf Meiccomon? I knew you'd play a big role, but not go all savage and brutality kill Leomon. (I though he was spared till the next part.) Meiccomon is going to feel sad af when she comes to her senses and finds out she killed Leomon. The ending left many questions and theories for fans, including me. 

 

Interesting note, the symbol on Meicco's arms are connected to Digimon Next Order. Same symbols appear on other Digimon. I also read on reddit it something about "10 chosen Digimon by god?" Yggdrasil?! I mean Alphamon is still out there... Oh...

Ah, but how much of it is canon? That is the question. T.K. and Kari certainly didn't act like Ken was ever a member of the team and they seemed more surprised that he was there than that he was back to being the Digimon Emperor. Interesting that Meicoomon has elements of both X-Antibody Digimon and Illegal Digimon...By the way, has anyone seen the leak of the poster for Confession? You have no idea how mad I am that it's Patamon on the poster instead of Seraphimon. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, he's always last, last to reach Champion, last to reach Ultimate, last to D.N.A. Digivolve, Hell, I'll bet Salamon even Digivolved naturally to Gatomon before Angemon fought Devimon. I guarantee you that movie 4 is going to focus on Sora and Kari but only Biyomon will reach Mega, Gatomon will get her chance in movie 5, and Patamon will have to wait until movie 6, the very last one. Reviving this thread yet again
Two trailers now, one for the 3rd movie, Confession, and one for the dub of Reunion
Let's get reunion out of the way first. I want to say right now I am not a fan of the theme for this one, but I might still watch the dub just becasue pver half the original cast is returning.

Now the good stuff, Confession.

the thing I want to focus on here is the battle scenes.
Looks liek it won't just be Patamon and Tentomon fighting Meicrackmon, but Agumon and Gatomon will be joining in too. But Meicrackmon has backup in the form of what appear to be either copies of Birdramon and Togemon, or maybe the real ones got infected.

Looks like Tentomon will be reachign Mega, as we all knew, but what's surprising here is that Agumon will fight as an Ultimate and even more surprising, so will Gatomon, this means we will finally get to see if a D-3 changeds color in response to a Crest! Unfortunately it looks liek Patamon will be limited to Champion. At least, MagnaAngemon isn't in the trailer

Time to bring this thread back yet again, let's talk about loss.

First off, we new Hououmon would be fighting Machinedramon, but we got a pleasant surprise with the additional reveals of Seraphimon and MetalSeadramon! Looks like it could be all the Dark Masters returing. It also looks like Gennai is not merely testing the DigiDestined in order to force Mega Digivolution, but has truly turned evil as he seems to be tormenting T.K. I wonder if non-Digimon digital entities can get infected? MetalGarurumon and WarGreymon will also make appearances.

Finally, while not in the trailer, it seems Gatomon may also Mega Digivolve, as Bandai released as collection of stickers to celebrate the first 4 tri movies and Magnadramon is among them.
