Ahem, anyways, in case this has to stand on its own... Long story short: There's a new DragonBall Z movie coming out called "Resurrection 'F', also known as "Fukkatsu no 'F'" and "Revival of 'F'", Frieza is being resurrected, likely getting a power up, Goku and Vegeta have new outfits, Lord Beerus and Whis are back, blah blah blah blah blah, you get the gist. A couple of (translated) scans from Saikyou Jump have come out, revealing a few new bits of info on the movie, including the origin of Frieza's newly introduced henchmen, Sorbet and Tagoma, as well as information on Goku, Gohan, Piccolo and more! http://www.shonengamez.com/2014/12/06/dragon-ball-z-revival-f-scans-reveal-two-mystery-characters-survivors-friezas-army/ Edited April 21, 2015 by Firaga Sensei sorry, but page stretch is annoying as heck and we don't normally allow it 3 Charleskt, TimothyPese and Robertofum reacted to this

mistydolphin 25 Posted December 10, 2014 All i know is if theyre bringingfrieza back, theyd better give him a MASSIVE power up. Sure he was terrifying when he first appeared, but lets face it, his later appearances were pathetic. If his power levels arent raised past super saiyan god levels i say leave him dead where he belongs. 2 Sendou Aichi and Firaga reacted to this

Agreed. He sadly became a joke character later in the series. I hope this movie brings back the evil Tyrant Frieza that he is! 1 Firaga reacted to this

Zachy1993 65 Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) Okay after FINALLY getting the chance to watch my dvd I bought a couple of weeks ago of Battle of Gods UNCUT edition...I must say, it was amazing. But I'm still confused as to one thing.... I know that GT is non canon, I know the movies other than BoG and this are non-canon. I even know that the filler episodes that were removed from Kai are non canon.... Sooo.......what about Episode of Bardock? Where does that fit in? Also, about Gohan appearing as a super saiyan....I'm also confused about that.....what happened to his Mystic? Gohan still has the Elder Kai Unlock obviously. Why he transformed into SSJ in the trailer is unknown, but he needed to transform into SSJ in BoG to help Goku become a Super Saiyan God, so there's still that. Also, he was shown as a SSJ in a poster for BoG, but ended up using his Elder Kai Unlock in combat only, so it might be the same case for RoF. BesidesElderKaiUnlockiskindabullshitanyway. Firaga 5,947 Posted December 22, 2014 Just to re-establish that this is the official thread, here are all the trailers we've received for this movie so far.
Firaga 5,947 Posted December 27, 2014 It seems that certain characters are getting new designs for the movie. Today, a scan was released revolving around Krillin, showing that he is once again bald and has gotten a job as a police officer, complete with a uniform and airbike. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-12-26/2015-dragon-ball-film-krillin-character-sketch-revealed/.82637 Also, several weeks ago (apologies for being late), a similar scan was revealed for Gohan, spotlighting his new more casual looking, including the jumpsuit from some of the trailers that he has been featured in. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-12-16/2015-dragon-ball-film-gohan-character-sketch-revealed/.82223

Firaga 5,947 Posted February 3, 2015 (edited) Japanese idol band, Momoiro Clover Z, who will be singing the theme to the movie, have now been cast as voice actresses for the movie. They will be playing a group of "angels from hell", who look similar to Gatchans from Dr. Slump, another one of Akira Toriyama's manga series. They will appear near the beginning of the movie, watching over Frieza still confined in the afterlife. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-02-03/2015-dragon-ball-z-film-casts-momoiro-clover-z-idols/.84028 Here is an image of the angel characters plus some misc. images of fairies and bears: Edited February 3, 2015 by Firaga Sensei

Firaga 5,947 Posted February 10, 2015 No news to report, but I want to comment on the last thing I posted, the scan of the Roshi/Bulma concept art: The art's description reads as follows: These two will also be participating in the battle?! Never mind Master Roshi; will Bulma be all right?! This quote implies that not only will Roshi be having a hand in fighting in the movie, against Frieza's revived army no doubt, but Bulma herself will be fighting too. Now, this has lead to many people speculating about how Bulma will be able to engage in combat. The most popular opinion is that Vegeta will train her in martial arts and teach her how to fly and use ki, presumably. Now, I'm not against the idea of Bulma fighting, but the training route is not the way to go. She's just not a martial artist, and she isn't that young anymore either (even if she wants to try to lie about her age like she did in BoG lol) so I think training could be a lot more arduous for her than we might think. What I see as her combat role is simple: engineer some Capsule Corp. brand weapons. She is a scientist after all. Instead of bulking up in terms of fighting ability like Vegeta or Goku, she just needs to grab a gun or strap into a battle suit. It works a lot better for her. Firaga 5,947 Posted February 20, 2015 I forgot to report this when it was first announced, but a three-chapter manga tie-in for the movie was confirmed to be released in V-Jump. Crunchyroll reported leaked information and page images for the first chapter. The events in the manga may or may not depict major information in the movie, so this is pretty much a big spoiler. If you want to read the info., then you have been warned. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2015/02/18-1/v-jump-prepares-to-launch-dragon-ball-revival-of-f-manga-adaptation

Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) Things I want for this movie: Vegita going SSJG, not because I'm a fan of his, but he's always almost on par with Goku, every time Goku got a new form, Vegita got it some time after until SSJ3 came along. Also because he straight up told Goku that he gets to be the god next time. But the real reason I want Vegita to go SSJG is so they can make another movie that gives us Super OP GGJG Gogeta. If Bulma get's knocked up with Bulla, that gives them enough Saiyans to give power to Gogeta. Edited April 10, 2015 by Isamu_Kuno
Firaga 5,947 Posted March 2, 2015 Things I want for this movie: Vegita going SSJG, not because I'm a fan of his, but he's always almost on par with Goku, every time Goku got a new form, Vegita got it some time after until SSJ3 came along. Also because he straight up told Goku that he gets to be the god next time. But the real reason I want Vegita to go SSJG is so they can make another movi3e that gives us Super OP GGJG Gogeta. If Bulma get's knocked up with Bulla, that gives them enough Saiyans to give power to Gogeta. Yeah, I still have a problem with that. I might as well explain why: I used to think that the notion of Vegeta becoming a Super Saiyan God in "Revival of F" was a great idea. But now that I've thought about it, I'm not so sure anymore. A lot of people say that Vegeta rightfully deserves it based on his past and his relationship with Frieza, but I think those people sort of forget some important factoids about Vegeta's life. You see, Vegeta, for lack of a better word, was a prick. A ruthless, uncaring spoiled brat who only cared about attaining power. It was only until his encounters with Goku and his friends that he slowly became a better person, first notably seen with his actions in the Buu arc after he fought Goku for the second time. He proved this mindset has stuck with him in Battle of Gods when he threw away his pride to keep Lord Beerus from harming his friends and family... that said, the Super Saiyan God power requires that you have a righteous heart. For somebody like Goku, it's obvious, but for Vegeta? ... I really don't know. First off, what did Vegeta atone for in his actions in the Buu arc? Mostly his obsession with beating Goku getting in the way of things. That's fine and dandy, but when you really step back and look at it... it's honestly not enough. This person has done far worse in his lifetime. He's slaughtered countless lives under the reign of Frieza. He was uncaring towards the death of his partner Raditz and willingly killed his other partner Nappa when he found him to be useless, the last two pureblood members of his kind, sans Goku and Tarble, and two who have worked alongside him for many years. Plus there is the moments in arcs where his pride spelled disaster for everybody around him, like when he allowed Cell to reach his perfect form and helped Buu re-emerge from his seal, and if you think about it, he helped Frieza power up as well. And as far as we know, he's still somewhat apathetic to his brother Tarble. I mean, does he have any regret for his actions? Does he regret being a killer and a fool? Is he upset that his own little brother was sent off to a distant planet because their father thought he was too weak to live? If given the chance, would he apologize to Raditz and Nappa? Would he apologize for ANY wrong thing he has done ever in his lifetime? If the answer is no, then I don't think he deserves to be a Super Saiyan God. It's hard to tell if it's a no or a yes really. We don't get too many peaks into Vegeta's mindset. But in "Revival of F", I want to see a peak, just so we can confirm Vegeta's true feelings and not be left with mostly ambiguity and sweeping things under the rug. I'm not saying Vegeta needs to get on his knees and beg for forgiveness from anybody. If he himself just acknowledges that he was a bad person and has done bad things, with maybe some extra catharsis from from the people around him, I would be satisfied. And no, his relationship with Frieza doesn't cut it either. His hatred for Frieza stems from him making him his grunt and stepping on his pride. Yes, he showed sadness in the fact that Frieza casted genocide on his people, but again, that can be tailored back to his pride as a Saiyan overall. Like I said, he willingly killed Nappa on his own terms. If he really cared for his brethren that much, I'm not sure he would do something like that. His entire speech was probably only given because he thought he would die and had to leave everything to Goku. 1 Reyn reacted to this
