Getting This Off my Chest

Before I get started, I'd like to clarify: This is by NO MEANS an attempt to whine about the site or anything like that. Please don't take it that way. Despite some bad times, I've had a fun nearly two years on here, and I don't regret joining the forums. Now, with that out of the way, time to get on to what I talk about:

 

I'll be honest: I'm beginning to feel burnt out when it comes to this site. I don't know why, but I just haven't really been enjoying my time here recently as much as I did in the past. I haven't been posting nearly as much as I used to. I feel like when I do post, I usually just cause trouble, or people try to argue with me, and I just end up feeling bad about it shortly afterwards. My posts haven't really felt nearly as inspired or fun as they used to be, and in general, I just feel like I'm starting to grow out of the site. I know I'll get some people to call me a whiner or an over-reactor for this, but I feel like I've kind of overstayed my welcome, and everyone will just become sick of me if things keep up the way they are.

 

I'm not saying I'm leaving the site. That might happen, it might not. I honestly doubt I'd be able to leave the site after having spent so much time on here, so I doubt I'd leave until you all get tired of my crap and boot me off. I'm just trying to get this off my chest. I've been feeling this way for a while now, and honestly, I'm not sure what to do about it. I just want to get it out before it causes any problems. If I do leave, I want it to be on good terms, and to not be remembered as one of the annoying kids on the site (Who am I kidding, I'm probably already the annoying kid).

 

So... Yeah. Long story short, this is really just me speaking out loud. I just wanted to get this out. I don't care what anyone really has to say; I could be told that I'm the most annoying guy on the site and that I'm wanted to just leave at this point (and I know at least one person probably sees me that way). I don't care. I just felt a need to get this out. Maybe sharing how I feel about it will get me more active, and make me enjoy the site more. I really don't know. And I apologize that this is horribly organized, it's really just me throwing my thoughts out as they come.

Well, there's nothing wrong with what you're saying, because as you said, you're just getting this off your chest, and you've done so in the most respectful way possible. Honestly man, I don't find you annoying, I've seen you around the forums, and I think you're a pretty swell guy, so keep your chin up!  Whatever happens is up to you, but well, I just want to let you know that you'll always be welcome here.

Some think you're annoying, some don't. Way of life it is. I wouldn't say you overstayed your welcome, I mean I've been here and made some trolly posts a few years ago (Oh that topic "Secret Ending in Beginner Mode" on BBS topic. Not random, the actual sub thread ). I will say this, life can be harmful but you have to keep trucking on. Best wishes.

Everybody feels like they're having a shitty time on the site every once in a while. I've been there before too.

 

The thing: most of the time you realize that you're just in a bad place with yourself, and with a little time, it can pass.

 

Then again, I can't guarantee how you'll feel. It's your decision after all. You can choose to be here or not on your own, and nobody would bat an eye at your choice. Still, don't beat yourself up. You're not annoying. I mean, everybody here gets into a spat every once and awhile. I know from plenty of experience. But you have to remember: we're all here to have fun. So if you're not having fun, that's not your fault. You shouldn't have to feel bad coming on here and trying to have fun.

 

In fact, I remember saying this before: everybody needs a break every once in a while. So if you want to leave, then leave. Nobody would blame you. Take as much time as you need until you can feel comfortable coming back and dealing with the rest of us. And if not, then great. You have nothing to worry about. Again, these things can pass. It's all up to you.

Misread this as "Winner". It would not have ended well for one of us...Nah, in all seriousness though, I completely understand. I go through this phase every now and then, hell I'm actually now averaging only two posts a month as of recent (not that anyone noticed ;_; ). I really just come on here to talk to Shana, Rox and Demyx these days. I wouldn't worry about it, it will pass. Just gotta give it a bit of time.And yeah what Firaga said. You might just be in a bad place. Like in my case I'm very busy with all these deadlines I have to meet and my financial troubles so I'm too busy/stressed to really care about what happens on here. Can't be my usual self with this hanging over my head. Maybe it's the same with you? Like, we know your dog recently passed (RIP) that's big enough to cause a big change in someone.OK, starting to ramble here but yeah, give it time!

I am disliked here but at this point I couldn't care less. I am used to it. I got other shit to worry about.

I'm probably gonna be the uninspirational asshole here, but I'll give it a go....

 

It's cool and all that you want to get it off your chest, but I'm 99.9% sure all of us on this site are nothing but little shits. Yeah, sure we're able to get along, but a majority of the time, we always find that one thread (or two) that we just know it'd be a bad idea to look at and still attempt them. I know I did with all the FFVII threads yesterday and I'm pretty sure I pissed plenty of people off. Was I happy with the result? Hell yeah, I was! The point is, we can all be assholes (or the annoying kid as you so kindly put it), and we'll cause arguments along the way. Might as well enjoy it while you can. Be proud to be the asshole no one else likes for the day. Unless you're directly attacking someone with your words, there's no harm done in being the annoying kid. Do what you want, it's only just the internet.

This has happened to almost everyone in this site .But hey you've been here for what ? Like 2 years ? I've been here for almost 3 years and trust me, I haven't gone nuts yet ! I know that I might get "PMed" for this but I was absent for like 2 years from this site 'cause I was banned from chat . It was entirely my fault ,to be honest . 

 

I am not saying that you are overreacting but like Javelin said , you might need to interact with different people in here . Meet new people .
