mistydolphin 25 Posted December 5, 2014 This is just a theory I have. Ok, from 3d, we've pretty much established that Xehanort's 13 darknesses will be comprised of different incarnations of himself. One being his younger self. But therein lies a problem, or maybe a solution. If they are all xehanort taken from different points in his life, wouldn't killing one change the timeline? What if after they are a defeated, history itself is changed, to where the xehanort saga never took place? Think on that.
HeyMouseSayCheese 1,133 Posted December 5, 2014 A Sonic 06 ending would be the worst way to end a saga.
mistydolphin 25 Posted December 5, 2014 A Sonic 06 ending would be the worst way to end a saga. I never said it SHOULD happen. Im saying, it ckuld happen, in theory.
Nick Sideris 1,551 Posted December 5, 2014 (edited) I am not sure if I am right on this one : in DDD the 12 darknesses could only gather together for a small period of time before going back in time . I might be missing something though . I guess Xehanort will manage to gather all the darknesses long enough to complete his purpose and forge the X-Blade . And if they are all defeated ,nothing will change because their forms would be temporary . Or maybe history will be changed just a bit with the only difference being that none of the darknesses will have ever met Young Xehanort who travelled in time to gather them . Master Eraqus 1,340 Posted December 5, 2014 (edited) Good theory, but I personally don't think it will happen for two reasons: Destiny is never left to chance, meaning that you can't the future, therefore you can't change its past. It's pretty much one of the rules of time travel and such. It has been stated that Sora will be the main protagonist in the next saga, meaning that Sora will most likely still be himself. Xehanort created many problems, but killing his young self would also prevent good things from happening, like the birth of Roxas, Namine and other Nobodies; Ventus meeting Aqua and Terra, Sora being able to wield the Keyblade etc. Edited December 5, 2014 by Master Eraqus
Forever 3,550 Posted December 5, 2014 I'll admit, I love the idea of Sora going back into Xehanort's past, and tackling him to the ground before he can even leave the island, but as Master Eraqus up there said, you can't alter the future. Everything seems to be preordained. Therefore, the most we could hope for is one of the 13 Darknesses betrays Xehanort. I've got my eye on you, Xiggy.... Hey you never know Vanitas is a candidate for sure for 13 darknesses. But betraying Xehanort though...stranger things have happened. I kinda just want to see Vanitas as a good guy. Think on that. i had a Theory like this before, Xehanort will die and it will as if he never existed and the kh saga will restart but this will cause another villiain to appaer during bbs era and to kh1 era etc..... or they do the alt. timeline thing scooby doo did Edited December 5, 2014 by Big Boss
darkerturbo 168 Posted December 5, 2014 I get the feeling that instead of destroying the orginization members, they're just going to be sent back to their own time. I also personally like this idea because it means that we could fight different xehanort's throughout the game and still have all 13 come together (by being resummoned by xehanort) for the final clash. Smithee 327 Posted December 5, 2014 If stuff like that only turned most fans away from the FF13 trilogy, then what makes you think KH3 pulling it would go any better?
