The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) Hey there everyone, how's it going!? Well, I'm super hyped because we're only less than 3 days away from having Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix, and let me tell you that playing this game will be spectacular! So then, in commemoration of 2.5's release, I want to tell you all the story of how I got my best friend/soul brother Jonathan into the Kingdom Hearts series! Okay, so this all started way back during our early school years together. When we got into Elementary School, I'd always talk to Jonathan about Kingdom Hearts II, and he'd listen to what I'd have to say about the game. I'd always share my experiences with him, and I told him that the Kingdom Hearts games are games he should definitely play, and he did get to play Kingdom Hearts II on the PS2, but he didn't know much about the rest of the series. During High School, I talked to him about the rest of the series, and he understood the plot of the games somewhat, but he had never experienced the rest of the Xehanort saga firsthand. Then, it happened... When 1.5 was announced, Jonathan pre-ordered the game, and when he got it, he finally got to experience Kingdom Hearts, ReCom and Days, and now he's become a full fledged fan! Now he fanboys about the games with me, and his favorite characters are Riku and Axel, and he loves the Bond of Flame Keyblade, along with a few others, and he even got a box set of Keyblade necklaces, and he got a Way To Dawn necklace! He's pre-ordered 2.5, and he started playing Dream Drop Distance on his sister's 3DS, but decided to play it after playing 2.5, and well, I have to say, I'm so proud that he's fully immersed himself into the world of Kingdom Hearts! :') Now, when 2.5 comes out, I'm going to play Birth By Sleep Final Mix first, then Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, and then I'll leave the Re:Coded cutscenes for last. But, here's the special part! Jonathan and I agreed that we wouldn't watch the Re:Coded cutscenes until we both finish the other two games that 2.5 contains. We want to watch the Re:Coded cutscenes together so we can both experience the new secret movies and just what the hell 2.5 has that connects it into Kingdom Hearts III! (For those reading this, please don't spoil, because we've both been avoiding spoilers as much as possible, and we've been successful!) I'm really happy I can share the joy of the Kingdom Hearts series with my best friend/soul brother. It's something that allows us to bond even more! And also, we'll invite our other best friend/soul brother Dennys! I'm trying to get him to play ReCom, but he doesn't want to because of the battle system, lol, but at least we'll get him to see the cutscenes, and he'll also see everything in the other games before seeing the fateful cutscenes that shall tell us about Kingdom Hearts III! Oh God, it's a good time to be a Kingdom Hearts fan! The hype is real, people! Have you had this kind of experience with any of your friends regarding Kingdom Hearts? TB298 114 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) Not really My best friend had kingdom hearts 2 on the ps2, but he says he thinks he lost it. Hes more of a call of duty guy. Good story though! I'm glad your friend is a kh fan too! Edited November 30, 2014 by TB298 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Yuya Sakaki 5,212 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) This story is pretty similar to how I got my cousin, @Akatsuki, into Kingdom Hearts. I used to ALWAYS talk about it with her, and she'd ask questions and such and I would answer them. Then once at a sleepover, I brought my copy of 1.5 with me for her to finally play it and she's loving it so far. Now if her results are good enough at school, (which I'm sure they will be ), she wants to use those benefits to buy 1.5 herself and play it. And hopefully later, 2.5 will follow. I'm so proud of her! :'D Peace! Edited November 30, 2014 by Yusei Fudo 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Movies798 1,358 Posted November 30, 2014 That's cool but did he really understand 358/2 Days in 1.5 HD? My friends got into Kingdom Hearts as well but I always tell them to play 358/2 Days instead of watching because in 1.5 HD thy only cover 70% story in 358/2 Days and plus they cut the battle scenes. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this

I'm glad your friend is a kh fan too! Oh, I see. Haha, yeah, I know a lot of friends of mine that lean more towards Call Of Duty. I have played Call Of Duty and I own Black Ops I and II, and I think those will be the only Call Of Duty titles I own, since the rest of the series doesn't interest me, lol. And yeah, Jonathan is just as big a Kingdom Hearts fan as I am! This story is pretty similar to how I got my cousin, @Akatsuki, into Kingdom Hearts. That's what best friends/brothers are for! 2 Yuya Sakaki and Movies798 reacted to this
HumbleGamer 76 Posted November 30, 2014 Well where I live, the only games most of my friends play are GTA, NBA 2K, and FIFA... I have always wanted to get a friend into KH and play side by side with them, but it seems like that is a hopeless campaign at this point... 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this

Nick Sideris 1,551 Posted November 30, 2014 My friends never liked Kingdom Hearts . I always talked to them about it and they were like : "Meh".... 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Rarzhn 10 Posted November 30, 2014 I know what you're talking about I have this bond with my girlfriend which is pretty awesome. She already played kh1+2 on her ps2 before we met because she's an ultimately rpg nerd. But well.. Since all the games like com, 358 and birth by sleep came for all kinds of handhelds (there were never an re:com in germany) she missed the whole following and extending plot. But now we get the remixes which is very nice for her because she can finally get the whole Story, and of course for me because of the same reasons as you: final Mix, bbs Hd, cutscenes and it's my absolutely favorite game series in the last 12 years. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted November 30, 2014 That is an awesome story about how you got your best friend/soul brother into KH. Unfortunately for me, I don't know that many people outside of this site who are into or even heard of Kingdom Hearts. And the ones who have, don't mention it much unless it happens to be mentioned and even then, barely. Heck, even how I got into KH isn't all that spectacular. I just happened to stumble upon cutscenes in a YouTube Video Parody series (Devil May Cry: The Stupid Files) and looked up the name of one of the guys featured (Xemnas) and the rest is simple history. *Shrugs* Still, glad you got someone else into KH, have a nice day. *Climbs out of a Window for no reason* 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
