Kingdom Hearts Character Attributes

During your playthrough in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance ever wonder why Riku's abilities are always darkness based even though he specifically rejected the darkness? It's because his nature is darkness, his main attribute is the element of Darkness, just like Sora's is light and Axel is fire. Every character have their own unique attribute that are similar to others or even beyond different. Here's a list of elements that these characters are under. Some have more than one, others changed during an event.

Sounds legit . Though if I were you , I'd put Zack in the darkness list cause , well at a time he was kinda "controlled" by darkness during the events in Olympus Coliseum on BBS .

I'm gonna assume if Xion was on your list she would be under Twilight perhaps? Her fighting style was very similar to Roxas in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.

They're not neccesarly made up, how else can you explain these character's fightinging styles and their abilities. Life is plants, plants are living. Plants such as flower pedals that Marluxia use is life. Death are attacks such as Heartless Angel, or the draining that Xemnas use. Vanitas is death because of the Unverse. They're not alive, they're not born. Also if characters have one element, then how can explain Xemnas using Sabers and shoots lasers as well as beams of light if he's twilight? The same goes for Xigbar and Saiax.

Example: Marluxia's attribute is "flower" because the Ultimania said so (and flowers are associated with the duality of life and death in Japan, so there's that). Yes, you can get all symbolic (like Roxas's light representing twilight/sunset/whatever, as opposed to Sora's sunlight/brightness), but at the end of it all, the Organization members' official attributes are whatever the Ultimania and Days say (and the other mains clearly use/are sided with light or darkness primarily with little room for ambiguity). That's it.

In Days the Organization members are all associated with a specific element (Nil for Xemnas, Fire for Axel, Light for Roxas and Xion, Flower for Marluxia, etc), but most of these are way out there. Force? Mystic? Emitter? This is Kingdom Hearts. Not every character can or needs to fit into a nice neat category. I don't categorize characters like Leon or Tifa into anything in particular, besides maybe swordsman (gunblade wielder?) and monk respectively. It takes more than casting a simple Fire spell to be set into the Fire category -- Leon isn't creating infernos like Axel. And I'm pretty sure Vanitas and Xehanort are more associated with just plain Darkness. You might be overthinking it with all those labels you came up with.

Well excuse me for not reading the Ultimania. I labeled these characters the way I saw it. Marlixia your right about, but I'm still sticking with my Xemnas argument.
